Kirra says..... It's going down!!!!
Dejah eyed each wolf closely waiting for someone to lunged, attack her or Fenrir. She would back him completely, for so far he was the only one to speak for the better of a pack. Her eyes shifted as her erect ears heard a familar voice, her head turned only to see the ever happy Tye. A smile stretched across her face, as she gave a simple nod to wards him. She figured that would be sufficent enough for him because it was good enough for her.

Her attention turned to Fenrir as he challenged Kalen, eyes watching the Alpha and his every move. He didn't respond with violence to Fenrir harsh words like he should have. An Alpha has to show dominance, put a less worthy wolf in its place. But Kalen only spoke and words won't get you very far in a world in these times. Dejah let her rump fall to the earth as the two argued the fact of death yet again Dejah sided with Fenrir.

"I am sticking with Fenrir." she finally spoke, her voice clear and strong. "Wisdom can be earned and I believe that Fenrir will gain it!" she added with a stomp of her paw. Her eyes shifted from each wolf to the next, waiting to see who all sided with Fenrir. In reality he was the best candidate, he was young and strong and from what she had heard he earned it. These new born whelps would be placed on the back burner for now.

Her curiosity with the female before her was momentarily distracted by the feud at hand. She was trying her very hardest to stay focused but her possible lost sister was not curbing her curiosity. She was listening to the fight about who should be alpha and she couldn’t help her self. She moved from the shadows and turned towards the female who had spoken. She shook her soft cream fur and looked at the older alpha. She gave him an apathetic look and spoke clearly. “I think Fenrir has better ideas for the pack.” She said. Regardless if she was a loner and had simply been well trespassing. She had anticipated on joining the pack at hand and if she was to be a member she would voice her opinion. No matter whom it offended. She hoped that the female who had approached her would agree with her. She was curious to find out more about her but with the politics of the pack on AWOL at the moment she felt the need to add her vote.

Nisroc sighed as the yelling comensed. She turned to the female whom had been distracted from the conversation momentarily to state her wishes for the pack. "I believe you know now the situation, right?" she whispered slightly unhappy with the pack's current upset. She knew where she'd stand. It was completely obvious in her mind. The pups were not fit for alphaship and by the time they would be, it would be useless to her.

Now was what mattered, and she knew that Kalen must know that. It was time for her to once again state her mind. What was in one's mind was for them and if this is what Fenrir believed then Kalen has no right to judge that in any other way than in his mind. As for Kalen's thoughts. She knew that all had they're own will. It was useless to attempt to change one's mind, only a feeble mind could change under another's will. Such as if someone were to tell you, you were going to die, and there was nothing you could about it. Well if that's what they believed, then that is what they have brought upon themselves. If they truely knew that they wouldn't, perhaps they would live healthier. That was for only one's self to decide, not her. But now was time to speak some sense.

Nisroc entered the 'battlefield' quietly, but with an air of complete storm. She stood sturdy on the ground next to Fenrir. "Kalen, please. Fenrir is right. I know deep down you know that... But he knows you're right also. Kalen, you're growing old, yes you are wise, and full of knowledge, but what good is that if you cannot pass it down, Fenrir can learn, he probably has much to learn in that area, but he can fill the other areas which are in critical need of strength and power, while you may be falling short. I mean no disrespect at all, Kalen, but we both know that right now your pups are not fit to lead, and as you may be fit, you may not be as fit as you once were. The smartest plan for the pack would be to step down. Be the pack's wise and most intelligent member, it would be no different then now..." she said in a caring tone, "This pack needs you, but it needs Fenrir as a leader...."

Nisroc's stance softened slightly. Her tense postion had been completely unstressed. She sighed, not knowing if what she had said had helped at all. She looked at both with strong but light eyes. "At least think about it..." she whispered to them both, then walked off to lie down under the shade of a large tree. Her eyes closed slowly. It appeared as if she was taking a nap, but she was still intently listening.

As the female spoke her mind Laelith continued to over look her appearance. Something strange tugged at her heart and she tilted her head to the side. Who was this female? Was it a coincidence she had been the first of the Kemi to notice her? She mulled on the idea for a moment and then decided she would continue conversing with her. She had voiced her opinion on this political affair. So she had time to do as she pleased. She moved towards Nisroc, “Sorry for that. I felt the need to voice my own thoughts on the current situation. So, how long have you been apart of the Kemi?” she asked. A curious anxiety could be heard in her voice. For some strange reason she felt as though she had met Nisroc before.

She was also curious as to the outcome of the packs situation. As it appeared Fenrir would become the new alpha considering most had voted for him. She was sure this would be quite the emotional blow to the older alpha. She also knew this didn’t mean his pups still couldn’t claim the Kemi pack as their own in the future. No, if he trained them right and held that hope for them then they could try to take the pack from Fen. That is if they survived long enough. She knew it was difficult for pups to stay alive. Some times death just had its eye on the young. It was sad but it was how nature worked.

All of Kalen's fur stood on end and he snarled in pure fury as Fenrir addressed him as an outsider. It was the lowest insult, the most terrible thing the young beta could possibly say to any Kemi wolf. Not a member of the pack? Coldly, he hissed, "Someday, Fenrir, you will pay for all you have done and will do. Someday, if Lexa doesn't do it, some wolf will strike you down, and there will be nothing you can do. And someday, that wolf will make you see what you really are, and how you really act, and that you are leading this pack into nothing but despair. I hope you are ready for the destruction you will cause, for only you will be able to fix it."

Leading. For Kalen couldn't disregard the will of the pack. If they wanted their alpha to be a bag of scum that would destroy the very basis of Kemi society, so be it. "However, if the pack wishes it, I will step down. I am too old for this position anyway. I could not lead much longer. I may live for many more seasons, but I have not the strength to lead in battle or lead a hunt." He lifted his head proudly, his fur falling flat once more on his shoulders. "I do ask, however, that you allow me two more responsibilities before my reign comes to an end. You, Fenrir, are NOT a Kemi wolf. You cannot make others into Kemi wolves. I ask that you allow me the ceremony that you need to BE a Kemi wolf, and I ask that you allow me to make new members into Kemi. It is law that the current alpha must give the wolf their powers when they join. If I gave you your powers and you attempted it, it would not work, and one or both of you might die under the strain of Lexa's power. I also ask that you allow me to remain in the Kemi. I want to lend my wisdom to the young wolves of this world, and I refuse to do that in any other pack but the Kemi."

With this he bared his fangs in a silent challenge. Not for Fenrir, no, the time for challenging his adopted son was long past. Instead, sorrow filled his heart. Sorrow for Fenrir, sorrow for Shylee, sorrow for the whole of the Kemi. And an unspoken challenge for anything, anyone, to step forward and destroy his pack while he was still living. His goal was yet to make the Kemi strong, and his goal would not go unfulfilled.

So it the time of Kalen had passed and now it was his turn to lead this great pack into a bright and glorious future. This moment was overwhelming. So much power now flowed through him. This was something that so unexplainable... foreign. Who would've thought that this bastard. Only the orphan of two loners. Who had wondered the world pointlessly.

The wondering had been hard. It had almost snuffed out his flame, pressed in on him until it was but a flicker of a pulse. That all had changed in one day. A small old wolf. Only half his size now but more than twice his wisdom had found him... named him son and raised him into what he was today. Kalen he owed so much to that wolf but he had taken the pack from him. It was a needed move but still. It must have been a blow to him. Dark brown eyes gazed at Kalen in silent sorrow.

Fenrir, now alpha of the Kemi, stepped forward and placed his maw near Kalen's right ear. He spoke softly, so only Kalen and he would know these next few words. They were not to be known by any others. None other needed to know them and Fenrir was not going to indulge them in knowledge that could be used against him potentially.

"I'm sure I will survive to live a great age like you Father. I will not lead this pack into war. I have no intention at all of going into battle unless forced to do so. I will lead this pack like you would have wanted it to be lead. I will be generous with the gifts of the Kemi and treat and all visitors like ken. Just like you raised me to. This pack will remain strong to the Kemi ways. As much as I distrust Lexa, I will not tell any other what to believe. My taking over the pack is what I believe needed to be done. You would have done the same thing in my situation Father. I will lean heavily on your wisdom in the future with all things."

So the words had been spoken. They were not long in coming but eternity had passed, it seemed. Now back to the others. In a slow, drawn out movement Fenrir turned to look upon the others with deliberate movements.

"I thank you all. For faith in my and what I believe to be the right thing to do. I promise you all. I will not fail you. This pack will slowly grow into the greatest of all packs. No, we already are and always will be. Only the Ruukina are close to rivaling us in number and strength but I assure you. They will not undo us. We WILL outlast that sorry bunch of blood lusty animals. If they don't kill each other off we will do it for them if they dare come near this holy place. We are the caretakers of the great tree. The only thing that is as old as Lexa. We will guard it and each other from any threat! THE KEMI WILL LIVE ON!"

Fenrir hoped that speech was inspiring. He was terrible with words when confronted by large numbers. By Lexa, day one and he was already nervous. No, he was NOT nervous. Only needed to get used to what he now was. Alpha. The pups. They may come to try and challenge him. Should he kill them? No... It was wrong. They deserved life. They may be Kalen born but Kalen was a great wolf. They would get what they deserved. Wither it be Omega, Beta or Alpha. They would make their fortunes out of deed. Not by birth. No wolf would ever get anything form him because of it's blood. They would have to earn it in his eyes. That was his rules.

Muzzle lifted itself to the sky. Lips parted. Fenrir howled to the sky. Let the world know that Fenrir was now alpha. Let the whole world know. Let them all hear his cry to the world. Fenrir was alpha and no one would now ever attack the Kemi on his watch. Any attacker would be pursued to their dwellings and the dwelling with it's owner would be destroyed.

{Just as a quick note, I have yet to see the pups dealt with. Make sure you guys discuss that - there ARE two heirs.}
