Hometown: Somewhere off-planet. Cover is somewhere in the Jinari Region.
Description: From ear to toe, Tamaran dresses very darkly and very plainly, a habit obtained from work no doubt. A dark gray or black headband rests over her head, hiding the tall ears she feels would otherwise act as a way to alarm the local populous. The seemingly out-of-place pokeball 'patches' at her arm and hip seem that way because of design. Each gives access to an otherwise hidden belt that stores a small variety of things she might need. These include a capsule set that's later described, a durable set of 'stick on' wheels for the bottoms of her shoes, that she rarely uses, and a small assortment of personal upkeep objects like hair/fur care products, deodorant, and their like. She also carts around a backpack with a few changes of clothes and food and upkeep products for pokemon inside it.
Personality: Tamaran is a caring, loyal individual who happens to have a love for learning and a passion for her job. Although she likes to wear her emotions on her sleeves, she prefers to keep her ears under wraps. her tail, for some reason, doesn't recieve the same 'courtesy'. She has the ability to distance and lock away her emotions when confronted with someone who presents a problem to she and her troup, and has the uncanny ability to detect electric fields when they approach her, perhaps due to the nanos coursing through her system (Explained in history.) It definately takes some persistance (Particularly from guys) to get some of her time, though, if she's in the process of doing something towards a goal.
Likes:
- Carrots
- Bacon
- Common Pokemon
- Wild Catnip Tea
- Sweet Tea
- Books
- Learning
- Pokemon colored differently than normal (Not the same as shiny pokemon, she has color preferences.)
- Rodents that aren't yellow or white
Dislikes:
- Dunsparce
- Pokemon commonly classified in the pokedex as 'Baby' Pokemon
- Pikachu
- Idiots
- Selfish self-important bigots
- Negative criticism
- People while they are drunk
- Bidoof/Bibarel
- Purugly
Fears: EMPs, tazers, and Electric types
Wishes:
-To find some way to relax, despite being on a half-mission AND vacation at the same time.
-Some hope may be held towards finding a mate - extremities beyond the human allowance are a preference (Animalistic ears/tail, tentacles, whathaveyou).
History: Tamaran had an interest in the Intergalactic Policing Forces from her days as a kitten, when her parents were released from the 'freeway' and returned to their home planet after a massive virus decimated the populace of the planet they had been living on. She grew up ensuring that she would have the abilities required to apply for the position she wanted, becoming fluent in multiple tongues and planetary histories before she took the numerous application tests. Despite her tendency towards the books, she managed to beat the paws of a hyena and a cheetah in the obstacle course.

Although the force gave her some trouble, and constant teasing about it, she quickly proved invaluable as an undercover agent as well as a translator. One of her earliest missions required that she be given an injection of a small collection of preventative nanobots that would fight contagions in the air and help her heal faster when injured. The only 'negative' side effect of these nanobots is that they require certain foods to be sustained, and will now and again enforce an intense craving that must be sated before they all shut down. (Because their demand is based on random occurrence, this is something for the mods to play with. Have fun. ^-^) The cravings for Tamaran are always bacon and carrots, and for some reason, the nanobots cannot be shut down without endangering the host. So she was issued a standard cold-capsule set of 3 capsules that can contain and keep fresh, nearly indefinitely, large quantities of carrots, 1 that contains a cooking set with pots, pans, and cooking ingredients, and 1 that contains a very large fridge full of almost nothing but time-encapsulated bacon strips. Each of these capsules can be minimized to a slightly smaller size than the average person's thumb, and are stored in a small, long box kept in a compartment of the standard-issue belt she wears.

Because of one job, though, she was asked to learn to specialize in a select area of Pokemon training in order to fit in on a region of the planet she has now returned to. The specialization she chose was a bit controversial, in that it was the 'overly common' area. Things that overpopulated easily, like Rattata and Sentret, Pidgey, Zubat, and Buneary, and others like them, though there was a selection of this group she refused to ever train.

She has now returned, in a different area of the planet; The Jemm Region. Although she's on vacation, mostly, now, she's been asked to look into a series of disturbances, and through research, was led to the OZ book from a library where she was studying at, and intends to begin to read it while at her rented appartment in the town when she gets back to it.

The Contract

Have you read the THE IDIOT'S GUIDE TO RULES:
If you mysteriously vanish, could OZ use your character as NPC? How long shall we wait, if yes?: You don't have to wait... I probably will vanish for potentially indeterminable amounts of time

Charcom: You're welcome to use her. ^-^ As long as her intergalacticality remains 'undercover'

[OOC]There's a part I'd to like to be clear first: the series of disturbance. What did you have in mind when you wrote this?

I want to supply an inter-galactic police proper information, after all.[/OOC]

Black Fox - July 28, 2010 02:40 PM (GMT)
(OOC: Thought I'd leave that up to the mod. I had in mind that there wasn't much information to be had when the assignment was handed out, just that there was some disturbance in the area that the bureau thought important enough to send out an officer. Gives you a little something extra to play with. ^-^)

When the white piece of envelope in your hand shivered against the breeze, it was like it responded to the library standing before you. The little research mission note was in the envelope but what intergalactic police carried around a paper scribbled with lead these days? It was a paper made from fiber engineered with nanobots to make data encryption possible. How could details be compressed in one measly page, after all?

You went inside the library, taking note of the place. There were barely any humans inside. Well, it wasn't that surprising. Who wanted to be in a place full of ancient ways of storing knowledge? No wonder humans had been awaiting every latest technology there is. You browsed through the shelves (how could you look for one book among thousands?!) and observed how dusty and unused some are.

Your senses tingled upon the sight of this black book. Automatically, you pulled it out and somehow knew that this was the one you were looking for. Hopefully, it didn't have the font size of a molecule for Arceus's sake.

-

You flipped through the pages, immersed, back leaning against the wall. You realized a mistake and your ears heard the duet of anguish and fear in the air. The song burned the tree and collapsed into ashes, onto the feet of a Woman who gave you a nod once that you understood but only with hesitation.

Through that similar sensation, you woke up from the crevice of reality and dreams into the time past the present and the future. You woke up, exposed but strangely free as if the only thing flowing through your veins were your blood alone. You stood up, swallowing the sight of a tranquil gradient of the soft blue sky and the green turf of a wide, borderless plane. It was a sight to see to see the absence of foreign verticals, breathing a sense of harmonic life.

But soon you realized something was out of place.

You.

You turned around, feeling for the first time how the sun seemed to melt your back. Your eyes were glued to something else to care about the intense pain. Your shadow seemed to be deeper than the ocean, a fear of falling into it tugging you slightly.

The black water bubbles and out came a dragon bearing the same traits. If you're not mistaken, being essentially the same.

:salamence:
The black water bubbles and out acme a dragon, bearing the same traits.

You felt the lack of electricity surging through your blood, but even in you, there was a boost of confidence and will to see your "mission" through.

The duet sings, this time from the depths of your soul.

(I appreciate the thought, but pass. ^-^;;)

...it was like the dragon was coated with Iron Defense. The way its velvet skin shimmered was a work of art. Its tail lie limply on its behind and its wings appeared like no prouder than it should. Yet its idleness were not to be presumed free of menace and malice. Its deep breaths quacked with anger and wrath.

Despite the situation, you weren't going to just run away. You doubted you could if you tried. Voices called you from within, but none of it you felt were appropriate. It wasn't an intellectual reasoning, but your heart knows better than the mind this time around.

A voice called again, something that reminded you of many trees and forests, unlike the urban metropolis.

:treecko: "...?!"
Respond, or hear it out first?

(I'll have to pass again. Sorrys)

The Salamance began to make its move and you stood firmly your ground. You hear a sort of "voice' in your heard but without knowing its importance, you chose to ignore them automatically. Somehow, you knew they weren't the right one in this situation.

You hear another one calling just as the Salamence took flight three meters from the ground. The wings created a chilly wind that just said "bad news".

Respond, or hear it our first?
