welcome to rockwood performing arts academy, a brand new roleplay set in hollywood at a school for young performers, namely actors, dancers, singers, models, and comedians. the school has only recently added dorms to the premises, and now the school is accommodating more students than ever. everyone wants to be famous, right? and these high school kids will stop at nothing to claw their way to the top.
what they don't know is that all the drama, cat fights, hookups, and more are being filmed and aired on MTV. how long will it take them to figure out what's going on? when they finally do, how will they react? only you can decide.
we are currently accepting canons only, but make sure you look over everything before you join. we'd rather have a couple of super-active roleplayers than a bunch of good-for-nothing forum game players. you must register with a first, middle, and last name.

This thread should answer commonly asked questions, and general questions about the board. When someone answers a particular question that we think others could ask, an admin will add the answer to this thread.

01. What is the location and time period?
NHNB is set in Los Angeles, California. September 2008, the beginning of the school year.
02. Are all the student’s new to RPAA?
Most of them, yes, because of the new addition of the dormitories.
03. Can I change a pre-made canon’s PB?
Yes, you may; someone similar to the original PB, please. Simply PM an admin.
04. What is the character limit?
The character limit is four; if you’d like to try for a fifth, PM an admin. To get that fifth character, you must prove to us that you can handle all of them by being active on all of them.
05. What do the ‘floors’ mean?
The floors refer to the four floors of the dormitory. In general, the more successful the character is, the higher the floor they live on will be. More information about the dormitories, and a description of all four floors see this thread.
06. What majors are available at RPAA?
Students may attend RPAA for acting, singing, dancing, modeling, film directing, photography or being a comedian.
07. Where are cameras hidden for the reality TV show? Do the students know about them?
No, the students do not know about the cameras—yet. And, obviously, they are hidden in the ceiling of almost all the rooms (except for the bathrooms and dorm rooms).
08. Will they find out about the cameras?
Eventually.
09. How do I get my username changed if I signed up incorrectly?
Simply tell an admin, and they will change your name for you.
10. Will you be accepting originals soon?
First, we have a lot of canon spaces open—when all of those are filled, we might consider allowing originals. At the current time we have a limited number of “original canons” available.
11. What are the different hex codes for the member groups?
The hex codes for the member groups are: first floor- 8893d8; second floor- d964c7; third floor- 956la8; and fourth floor- 0fb6b5.
