•• WELCOME.
welcome to rockwood performing arts academy, a brand new roleplay set in hollywood at a school for young performers, namely actors, dancers, singers, models, and comedians. the school has only recently added dorms to the premises, and now the school is accommodating more students than ever. everyone wants to be famous, right? and these high school kids will stop at nothing to claw their way to the top.
what they don't know is that all the drama, cat fights, hookups, and more are being filmed and aired on MTV. how long will it take them to figure out what's going on? when they finally do, how will they react? only you can decide.

we are currently accepting canons only, but make sure you look over everything before you join. we'd rather have a couple of super-active roleplayers than a bunch of good-for-nothing forum game players. you must register with a first, middle, and last name.

Haha, so idk about everyone else, but I feel bad not knowing anything about the people behind the characters! You seem like a lovely bunch, so I hope no one minds if I suggest a quick survey of everyone's basic interests/hobbies/etc. Just answer what you want to answer ;o)

Anything else: I'm currently earning my bachelor's in writing at a tiny lib arts school in my hometown. I love fiction, but I'm more into the journalism side of things. I plan to study Fashion Marketing in NYC (hola, Parsons) once I've got my traditional degree. I'm sure my parents will be thrilled (not really). ANYWAY, I want to eventually go into fashion journalism and publication, maybe one day climb up the holy plateau that is style editing. I am not nearly as shallow as you might think. But at the same time, I sort of am. ;o)

Name: Mila. That's an alias, because my dad likes to freak me out with stories about internet stalkers, but I actually prefer Mila to my real name.
Zodiac: Aries.
Five things you love: Music, singing, dancing, New York City, glitter.
Five things you hate: Math, school, sleeping with socks on, stupid people, Charles Dickens.
A book you adore: The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray
A band/musician you recommend: Um, currently, I'm listening to a lot of the In The Heights soundtrack, but the CD isn't actually out yet, so I don't quite recommend it.
A movie we should watch: Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It's really weird, and I don't suggest it if language or sex (especially involving two people of the same gender) offends you, but it's really interesting and the music is cool.
A place you go to relax: My roof. I don't know why, but I love being high up.
A place you want to visit: Tokyo. It's shiny.
Something you want to accomplish: I want to play Ivy in Bare, which is one of my favorite shows that never made it to Broadway. Ivy's the class slut and she has one of my favorite songs ever to sing.
A guilty pleasure: Gossip Girl. Not even just the books, but the TV show. I'm ashamed.
A fabulous quote: "Shame is nothing but a product of education." -Spring Awakening
Anything else: I'm fifteen, and just finishing up my freshmen year. I got to a Catholic, all-girls high school, though my stance on religion pretty much falls under agnosticism. After I graduate, I'd really love to go to NYU and study theatre; I want to be on Broadway, slim a chance as that is. I love performing and being on stage more than anything else.

That sounds amazing! I love history, and admire anyone who pursues it as a career. Any specific area of history, or just all of it?

Ahhh, I am like five years older than you (the oldest one here, I think?) and I watch this religiously. I've read three of the books. laugh.gif Don't feel bad!

I love history in general, but if I had to pick it'd be American history.
