Day 1: The watching
As the night grew closer i could tell that it was going to be chilly, i took the packs hatchlings to the caves for fear that they might no handle it. The night's dagerous predators began to emerge as the last of the light hit the moist leaves of a fern that was in my field of view. Tonight it was my night to watch the territory, which would be interesting. He had begun his night watching the hatchlings, but once they had all been swept off ino a deep sleep with their mother by them he felt it was time to patrol the lands. He set foot out into the forest being ever so quiet, this was very crutial to his survival. Also to remain hidden, because he had seen many lives be taken from large Carnivores that had been wondering the territory. He moved to the shadows, he had seen a small compie and was feeling hungry. He moved right up by it, the poor thing had no clue that the fern he had been observing was the last thing he would see, he slowly moved his head closer to him. He carefully lunged at the little male, snapping its neck with his powerful jaws. He picked the bones clean and continued on his journy, tonight the forest was still. He had heard no creatures fleeing, no death cries, and no echos of massive carnivores. He reached the end of the territory and had begun his way back, he took another route back. On his way through a crowded patch of abnormally large ferns, he spotted a young brachiosaurus and its mother. He had not wanted to bother them his plans were to walk right past but they soon failed when the large female brachiosaurus heard a small twig snap. In a blind rage she charged at the ferns i was in trying to protect her young, i had silently evaded her and sunk back into stealth and continued the trip back to the caves. His heart had been pounding, if she would of caught him under her massive feet he would of been dead or severely wounded. He sighed to himself and finally he saw his destination he knew that there was nothing between him and the caves so he silently ran. The sun had started to emerge from the east end of the forest a few moments after he had arrived. After his trip his legs became sore, he went into the caves to sleep. Another member of the pack had taken over while he had slowly drifted off intoa deep sleep. |

Day 2: Hunting with the pack.
As the night set in and the shadows slowly grew into a vast plain of dark and shadowy objects, Vaci had been resting by a pool at the base of the entrance to their packs cave. A number of small Deinonychus must of been around two or three of them had wanted Him to take them out hunting. He had known the angst of wanting first blood, he looked at the three of them giving a slight nod looking their features. They all looked relatively alike so i assumed they had the same birth mother, they all stood roughly 6'7" and weighed about 90 pounds. They were not small in size but they were small in age, he guessed them to be around the age of 11. They followed him, and into the forest they went. They did not know what they had been seeking or what they wanted to seek, Vaci directed them to sneak, and hide for it would be cruitial to their survival. Most of them had listened except for one, he didn't know his name all he knew was that their prey had came sooner than he expected. A male Brachiosaurus had been scouting his area, Vaci had been concentrating on this large creature trying to find its weakness, he observed the animal as it walked from area to area. The male had a large laceration on the left-side of his ribcage, and it looked as if he was limping some. He knew the creature had been in a fight of some sorts and won, they had approached it and made their plan. Two of the young dinos were going to circle the beast and we were going to surround it, the ignorant one was with me. We had approached it waiting for the other two to make their move and send the beast towards us. The ignorant male gave away our position, the beast had come charging through the trees and into the shrubbery where we had been sitting. I evaded quickly which was odd because the same thing had happened to him the other night with a female, the ignorant male wasnt so lucky. As the beast ran through it didn't bother us anymore, as the rubbling subsided he looked for his partner. He called the rest over and they searched the area for the male, after a little while of searching they found him. When the Beast charged us he must of caught his partner under his foot, he was bleeding from his nose and was blinded. The Brachiosaurus had stepped on his head, after a few breaths he gave a small chirp and slowly drifted off into death. This was a problem, they headed back to the caves. This problem had to be solved to prevent the deaths of any more of his pack, but this problem would be solved another day. They had all went into the cave and rested, Vaci made sure to alert the birth-mother of the deceased. |

Day 3: Brachiosaurus problem
The elders of the pack knew that the loss of the young one was a problem, they just didn't know how to go upon solving it. They had sent a scout out to find where the beasts might have been staked this time. The scout had shortly returned which was not good, this meant that they had moved closer. The scout chirped and squaked, signaling that they had moved closer. The pack leader gave a stern chirp at Vaci, I nodded and gave an afirmitive squak. After I had nodded at the alpha, I had went to the inner depths of the cave system to where the rest of the hunters sleep. He gave a chirp and three males came trottting up, two of which had witnessed the death of their packmate. Vaci had nodded and trotted out of the cave to where the alpha had been standing, he acknowledged the leader and gave a slight smile. The four of us had started out, the sun being just above the trees. We hid, as we came upon a female there was only two of the beasts We had to kill. We approached the female carefully watching for the large male, we had surrounded her and made our move. I and two others attacked the beasts throat, eventually tearing a hole into her throat leaving her gasping for breath. Vaci sat back, watching the other three males tear her stomach up. She wad Dead. The male came soon after, he was taken down much the same way except that the males had jumped on the Beasts back, and tore him up. The good news was brought back to the camp, hopefully there would be no more brachiosaurus killing the pack members. The alpha was glad that this task was completed, We were rewarded a hefty chunk of meat. |

Day 4: The promotion
Vaci awoke very suddenly it felt like a cold sweat dripped down his scales, he sat up a light rain had been falling. He raised his head looking into the sky a grey sheet covered the sky, to the northeast a very dark blanket was going to cover this part of the earth in darkness. As he looked up the raindrops increased hitting his head and exploding into many small droplets, from a few feet away it looks like they turn into a mist. The rain was warm not cold like it was earlier in the year, it was a summer rain. The alpha of the pack called a meeting with a large squak that seemed to echo through the forest, the members quickly gathered. The alpha stood on a large boulder, surveying the crowd of his freinds and family. Vaci had been resting at the back of the cavern watching a small stream of water erode the ground below him, the alpha and gave a series of squaks and chirps. Vaci had decided that it was his time, he stood up and passed through the crowd. The alpha had finished the series of chirps and squaks and had retreated to his chamber in the back on the cave. Vaci had went into the shadows, and had made his way back to the chamber too. There was the alpha, not expecting a thing. Vaci came out of hiding once he was in the room, he chirped happily at the old alpha. The alpha nodded at him Vaci entered the shadows when the alpha looked away, the alpha obviously though he left when he rested on a large rock. I went behind the alpha male, and using my very powerful jaws i clamped them down with the alpha's neck in between. A loud snap was heard as the male when limp, small rivers of blood ran down the rock in all different directions pooling at the bottom of the rock, Vaci had chirped loudly signaling the rest of the pack to come. They looked at his body then to me, i chirped standing tall letting them know that i was their new leader. Some were happy, some were not. Vaci walked out into the rain, to wash of the blood that over the months had caked on. He chirped happily as the dark liquid ran off him, the liquid eventually turned clear as the filth had been washed off. |

Day 5: Alpha of Red Claw
Vaci awoke to water running in the cave, trickling from the cave cealing to the floor. He looked outside the dark blanket still covered the earth, this made him and the rest of the pack deppressed because of the lack of activity. The hatchlings had been couped up in their cavern, because of the danger of when it rains. Because they are so little they yet know how to swim, they could drown, and the rain water might cover up the scent of their mother. The rain was a constant down pour causing the neighboring Eden River to overflow, this made it easier to survive for some and very hard for some others. Vaci had stood up, looking around the area he gave a large yawn. He greeted his fellow pack members with a happy chirp which they readily answered, looking outside he shook his head. Down the hill he saw a family of compies try and swim against the current, this ended up in failure as they were soon swept away. He squaked loudly, calling for his hunter. Soon after came four large hunters, he had motioned to them that the river was flooding. In a series of chirps and squaks he had told them that because of the river there might be more prey looking for young that might of been swept away and to gather any food they found. They soon left and Vaci had returned to his cavern, hoping that they will have a good find. |

Day 6: Friends or Enemies?
The morning came fast, the sun was about a fourth of the way into the sky when Vaci emerged from the cave. This was odd normally he was up and alert watching his pack mates, waiting for the others to awaken. He walked out to the edge of the flat rock which extened about four meters from the entrance of the cave, he stretched surveying the lands he could see. He decided he would take one of the young hunters out and familiarise himself with the hunter. This hunter was named Red scale, he observed him and noticed that his features gave him the name. He had bright scaly looking skin, he had black eyes and one of his large claws on his foot used for hunting was broke at the tip. They had continued walking down the slope, into the savannah, and out to the Oasis that had been located around the middle. Once at the oasis Vaci being out of breath slightly lied on the ground, his tail draped over a small rock the tip barely touching the water. The sun beat down on them, Vaci wiggled slightly shifting the mud below him. It was cool, he liked it and he chirped at Red scale to lie down and relax. The hunter looked at him, Vaci looked relaxed. He was used to being tense and ready to rip the life out of someone, but he slowly surrendered to Vaci's chirps. They lied there quietly, Vaci had been listening intently and had heard a snap of a twig. Both of their heads popped up looking at the source of the noise and slowly slid into hiding. A young Deinonychus had emerged from behind a large fern, he must of been around six years old. Before emerging Vaci had listened to make sure there was no other noises that could hint to the arrival of more. They emerged, Vaci chirped at the foreign deino startling it. The young male jumped backwards but did not leave, they both sniffed at the young one deciding it wasnt of their pack. The young male sniffed at them, they were not of his. The young male sprinted towards the fern, Vaci nor Red scale chased after it. After that incident Vaci and Red scale both seen the young male numerous times, and even once saw two of them. Each time not following them, but curious as to where they came from. |

Day 7: The begining of a New relationship
A cool breeze blew through the night, inside the chamber it was absolute dark. The moon light was being blocked by a very large tree, the trees large gloomy shadow creeped over the entrance of the cave making that area also very dark. It had rained a small amount over their territory leaving the grass damp, and the ground wet. The moon light bounced off the wetness on the leaves and shone on the branches of the trees. The alpha male stirred he snarled and chirped mercilessly his eyes shifted within his lids, back and forth they stirred. DREAM: A large Diplodocus roamed the open savanah, her mouth filled with a grassy cud. Behind her trailed two younger hatchlings of the same species, obviously her offspring. The two younglings played and squaked at each other playfully, the bigger of the two would run at the smaller and tackle it. They both chirped happily, minding their own. Little did they know a small group of small predators also known as Deinonychus, trailed behind them. The mother senses high but not high enough to sense their stalkers, the group of Deinonychus surrounded the beast and then charged. The young had their throats tore out, and the mother had slowly began to die so the predators back off to watch her die while they devoured the hatchlings. Vaci had ben resting at the oasis and had watched all this happened, he smiled sneezed giving a small supprised chirp. The other Deinonychus looked right to him, he looked at them. At that moment their eyes met, he blinked and when he opened his lids they were gone. A few moments later they had sprung from the tall grass, there was Four of them. They had circled Vaci and attacked him from all sides, he had lied bleeding and incapacitated not able to do a thing. The alpha awoke in a cold sweat breathing heavily he raised himself up, he looked around. Only a Dark deathly quiet night surround him, the only thing heard was the *drip* *drop* of the water hitting the cave floor. He closed his eyes and when he opened them it was morning, he had summoned a group that was going to accompany him in the greeting of the new possible allies to his pack. They had made their way through the thick parts of the forest and soon came to the edge of the Savanah wilds, When they had reached the oasis they had sighted the members of the other pack. Through a series of chirps and squaks they had called the members of the other pack over, with a beckoning wave of his head they had invited them to join them in a hunt. The hunt was sucessful and after spending the day with the foreign pack, they had decided to make a so called friendship with this pack. However they do not know if it will work, they keep on bonding and working on their alliance. |
