Lester's (Scribbles6) Build Thread.., from the KA24DE swap and on...

So i'll be swaping a Ka DE in my car hopefully by the end of March if all goes according to plan.

Has about 136xxx miles so it's not so old of a motor.

Here's a couple of pics of the progress, and i'll be adding some more as i keep working on it.

After some lightweight cleaning and poping off tranny along with the clutch and flywheel




I removed the alternator, throttle body, and belts.

Had to clean the bottom part of the intake manifold, that shit was grimmy as fuck, had spiders and shit living in there lol

here's some more pics tho. i'm replacing a lot of the gaskets mainly throughout the motor.




Removed the top guide on the timing chain

Front of the motor after oil pan and front cover was removed for replacement of front seal (i know i didn't need to take the whole thing out but i'm replacing some other little thingys in there)

i basically have a whole history behind my car in my build/picture thread. haha.

i wish i could do a full on write up with actual good upgrades to the motor, this is more of a little story behind what i'm doing so my car is running good again so i can go back to the track.

^^ Lee's done a whole lot more to his s14 i would think, converting to 5 speed aint easy. plus more stuff here and there i've seen in his cars.

LEE do write ups on LED lighting i wanna do some of that shit on mine.

So here's the timing chain cover, oil pan and pulleys that i'm in the process of cleaning and stuff so i can paint them a clean looking silver


My DOHC cluster that will be going in


and my flywheel that i had resurfaced along with that autozone brand clutch that i'm putting in cuz i'm a broke ass lol.

BTW.. i just picked these up. New skirts (off Pillo) and little roof spoiler off a dude on zilvia. what do you guys think (don't mind the fucked up ass door, that's getting fixed lol)






Now the car will be actually lower since i lifted it for smog that i didn't pass cuz i would get stuck on the dyno lol.

I'll be shitty painting the car as well since i can't afford a real paintjob but i'm sick of having like 5 tones of grey on my car. Just wanna make it an even tone with at least rattle can paint

but yeah, i'll be getting on here a lot more often now, been spending hella time with the lady and not enough on my car so i'm getting back to balance it out

oh..i quit doing LED's for a while..since everyone in their mother makes LED everything now. it was hella cool back in 2002 when i started doing it. not any moar.

oh yeah...will any one of you guys with S13[wait..anyone else besides me got S14 on here but sam?] ditch the 15's and 16's? be ballin and roll 17's!
