I see alot of sr's on ebay but I am kinda of scared of buying one because of the stories I hear about buying engine through ebay. Basically I would like to know the best place to order or pick up a complete sr20 with a good warranty (atleast 90 days), any opinions wont go without consideration.

do not buy anything that you cannot test it out.

make sure u get compression no less than 145 across the cylinders.

do not buy cheap sr unless you are committed to get that thing rebuild if you got a fucked up motor.

talk to phase12xs13 or his_s14 about sr engines

btw. u are new member and we would like to introduce yourself for more support from us.

my name is mark

Nearest place that you can drive to would be venus auto in sac. But i donno ronald or whatever his name is fails at customer service, i understand that he gets a bunch of people going to his shop and never buy anything but he shouldnt assume that everyone isnt gonna buy anything.

I dont recommend him but saddly thats the only importer that ive been to so i donno any others if there are any.

www.jdmenginescorp.com

my friends brother got his sr from them, he said he got it quick and had no complains what so ever. back in the day i got a k20a3 from them as well(was cheaper then where i got my k20a3 locally the first time), they are cheap and their customer service is great. they are located somewhere in texas, i believe its garland texas, but i could be wrong. they ship for free as well. and their warranty is either 15 or 30 days.

There's a load of importers in NorCal that have SR swaps when I was still living there and I'm sure there's still many now. I got mine from Rcrew in Brisbane a few years back.

Edit: These days I wouldn't buy an SR20 without seeing the swap in person first. I honestly never bought anything from JDMenginecorp, but a few of the locals (in Dallas) did and their experience was not exactly great.

b careful w/ rndfactory tho. i went there 2 get a tranny n i saw them test starting a customer's car only 2 have it leak some major oil since they 4got 2 tighten the oil filter on tight enough. plus there r some ppl who got screwed over by them big time in the past but they might b better now.

yea agreed, rndfactory's customer service ain't so great, never really replied to any of my questions or requests, and they can't give you a bargain, let alone a decent price.

i'm not gonna deal with them anymore

All these places seem to charge the "cool" tax on things. It's really annoying. That's why like craigslist and finding deals on there. That's about it for me. Let someone else pay high prices, then I'll swoop when they wanna sell cheap . . . wink.gif
