If its true. It could all be fake and the baby died in the car accident. But it's true, Bruce has a messed up brother AND son!

Why didn't they make him the older child that was tucked away never to be heard from again? Surely introducing him as the younger brother brings far to many (sensible) questions? Maybe that's the point...

Although I can't take credit for knowing this, I just listened to a ComicVine podcast in which this book was discussed, and apparently in the previous universe, there was a storyline in which Bruce DID have an insane, older brother, "Thomas Wayne Jr." I think it was found in an issue of "World's Finest" from the 70's perhaps?? And apparently Snyder was aware of this, and took pieces from it for this story (including, I think, the name of the "home" in which the children were being kept!) So - it's not as crazy as we all seem to think it is!!

I meant that this is such a specific piece of Bruce's continuity going forward that it's likely going to create either a large retcon or continuity errors in future stories. Especially if it doesn't work out.

So maybe Snyder isn't as far backward thinking as we think. It's only the same as, for example, Johns taking a throwaway line Moore once wrote about the 'Blackest Night' and turning it into something else.
