S P O I L E R S P A C E The Court of the Owls has led to the creation of Owlman in the DC Universe proper! Lincoln March, believed dead in issue 9, was a member of the court and took the Talon serum! He then dons a heavy duty Talon costume. Lincoln also reveals that he is Thomas Wayne Jr!

I don't care what incarnation of the DCU this is, Bruce Wayne DOES NOT have a brother. It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of, I don't care how well it's explained away. Why can't he have a jealous cousin or something? I mean, Tommy Elliott worked superbly. I just can't accept Bruce would have a brother, and the Waynes would have that particular skeleton in their closet. And Alfred? Come on. What fluff.

Going to wait until #11 to pass judgement. I'll probably re read the whole run together when 11 comes out so I can fairly judge it.

For someone who is supposed to be one of the smartest people in the DCU, even at a young age, Bruce should have some recollection of this unless the two were less than a year apart in age. This just seems like it has retcon and/or future conitinuity problems written all over it already.

Obviously its a big change from what we all know - but in this new universe, anything is possible, so why not give it a shot?? I agree with keeping a healthy amount of skepticism about whether everything is what we think it is. But, that backup story sure seems to indicate this is the real thing! Like Shogun...I'm not certain that I like it yet, but I'm willing to give it at least another issue before deciding.

Though I always thought that Alfred had been there since Bruce was a little child, so he should know about the brother. Even if they do the retcon like this, in order for Martha to have died without yet giving childbirth... and no one knew the child had been left in an institution for baby care... it is a shocking reveal... with a kind of lazy twist for me.
