I like the Nightwing comic and like what they are doing with the circus and the Court of Owls. But I am unsure if taking parts of his history away from him has made him a worse character as a result. I have seen the same thing all over the new 52. I can't think of any character in the DCnU who is better as a result of Flashpoint, except maybe Jason Todd but his comic sucks due to all the character assasination that has take place there.

I think it depends on the creative team. Also, for the most part, we have no idea what stories did and did not happen, so it's hard to say "what's missing." We have no idea if Superman really died, for example.
To me, some characters are much better. Wonder Woman is a much stronger character, and her supporting characters of Greek gods are amazing in this new world. Green Arrow, on the other hand, not so good... but he was never a strong character in my mind anyway, with a lot of different directions and takes. Overall, DC really just wiped the slate clean. It's yet to be seen if they add stories that strengthen these characters. Some are headed in the right direction, others, not so much... |

Your right. Wonder Woman is a better character in the DCnU.

Animal Man is as well, and Action Comics is outstanding. Batman is great, but much of his "history" is still intact somehow. Aquaman is also really good. There are some strong, focused books out there. A lot of people really like Flash, though without Wally, I won't touch it.
Supergirl has potential I think, but has yet to realize it. On the bad side are books like Teen Titans and Green Arrow. To me, these books, especially Teen Titans, suffered from the relaunch and jettisoned history. I will say, DC really needs to rebuild some of its hero relationships too. What happened to the friendship between Green Arrow and Green Lantern? Who is Dick Grayson's best friend now? Did the original sidekicks have a Teen Titans history together? Is Cyborg just a token member of the JLA? |

Aquaman is 100x better off as is in my opinion Green Lantern. I was on the verge of dropping the book pre Nu52, but now it's once again one of my most anticipated reads every month again. Flash is better off in my opinion, even with Wally missing. I never cared for Barry and now he stars in one of my favorite comics. Wonder Woman was fairly interesting, but I had to drop it to conserve some money.

You dropped WW? For shame!
I cannot get behind GL and the new, edgy attitude Hal has... |
