Title: Books you'd like to see in DC's 3rd wave

With DC's 2nd wave hitting this month and only a couple books catching my eye, it's already got me wondering what will come in DC's 3rd wave. So for fun let's throw out some titles we'd like to see.

1. New Gods: I'd really like to see Morrison or Gaiman on a title like this, but Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning would be pretty awesome on this too. They did an awesome job handing Marvel's cosmic corner. An artist like Francis Manapul would really make this book shine too.

2. Cyborg: This book is coming soon, I'd be surprised if it didn't come in the third wave since I was surprised to see it not come out with the 2nd wave. I'd like to see a team of Johns/Lemire/Nicola Scott on this. Johns sticks around until the book gains a following and the groundwork is set and then hands the sandbox over to Lemire/Scott. Just read Lemire's Animal Man and this guy needs to be doing more at DC before Marvel snatches him up.

3. Outsiders: This book would work as a Secret Justice League. If they want to keep the Justice League name they could call it JL: Elite or whatever. It'd consist of mostly street level heros with a juggernaut or two thrown in for emergency purposes. The team would be led by Nightwing and somehow incorporate Wally West too. That's all I need to hear to be sold. I'd like to see Snyder take a crack at this and Patrick Gleason on art would be awesome. Gail Simone would work too if she can get a Secret Six vibe going, just a bit less evil.

4. Adam Strange: Two words. Paul Pope. If you guys remember this strip from Wednesday's Comics, you know exactly the type of awesome this would be (however short it lasts out on the market)

5. Manhunter: Bring Kate Spencer back! This book kicked so much a** back in the day. If Andreyko is available call the man up and give him his job back. If they don't want to go with Kate Spencer, I'd like to see Bryan Q. Miller given this book. Moritat on art or maybe someone like Gene Ha if they're going for a superhero feel over street level hero feel.

6. Some type of Kung Fu book: Richard Dragon, Lady Shiva, Bronze Tiger, etc. These characters are just wasting away. If they can make a book about the military vs. dinosaurs they can certaintly test the waters on a kung fu book. Maybe a Lady Shiva book featuring Richard Dragon as her master. Duane Swiercynski/Foreman would be great on this since they were teamed up on Iron Fist for Marvel. They have experience in the genre.

Adam Strange, a GREAT choice! I loved his strip in Wednesday Comics, it would be a fantastic creative team.

I'd also love to see a "titans" book. Nightwing, Donna, Kory and Garth investigate the murder of the mysterious "Dustin" mentioned by Roy in Red Hood. Reintroduce the Wildebeasts that way!

You've got great taste, sir! It was by far the best strip for me. The only thing that came close was Gaiman's Metamorpho.

I'd love to see a Titans team as long as Lobdell and company are kept far away from the book. Put it under the Justice League banner/editorial staff or something  just keep it away from the mess that is the Young Justice line. I like your idea, but it could also start off with Nightwing looking for and ensembling his old friends into the team to fight a threat (Wildebeasts would work)

I'd like a Booster Gold solo series involving time travel. Basically, I just want his last series to come back.

With JLI being cancelled and a new Booster Gold TV show in the works, I could definitely see a new series coming soon

I totally agree with a Nightwing-led team. Whether you call it "Outsiders" or "Titans" is immaterial - just get him leading a team already! Right now JASON TODD is a better apparent leader than he is, which is sacrilege. Sacrilege, I tell you. Dick is the world's greatest leader!

And I'd love to see a solo Red Robin book, too. Put it under the "Batman" titles and not as part of the "Young Justice" family, though please. I'm disliking the tone of Young Justice - I'd prefer a dark suspense or noir-ish story that would fit with Tim's special skills as solo techie detective.

I'd also love to see a "Robins" book - even though it has been nixed, it sounded like such a wonderful book! I would pay premium prices to see the four Robins interacting on a monthly basis, or even a series of "flashback"-style stories establishing what each of the former Robins were like when they were Robin.

And as for writers - I have no idea. I don't follow writers as well as I should...

I also wished we got a "Robins" book as well. It's still possible with Sweet Tooth ending, Lemire still has room in his schedule. I'd love to see Lemire write and draw that book as well.
