"We are planning to have a christmas shindig, as mentioned at the last game, and wanted to know what date suited you all. We were wondering whether 27th, 28th or 29th of december was the best for people.

As mentioned previously, we're about ten miles outside of newcastle but have beds aplenty (as well as more floors than debenhams). We would love you all to turn up, help dispose of our obscene amount of homebrew and generally tip your hats in the direction of christmas frivolity. Much silliness available.

Personaly me and emma wont know when were working till the week before, but let us know when things are and we'll turn up if we can.

Can't really help you with disposing of homebrew (being teetotal and all), but I'm up for the rest of it. Sadly it looks as though the 27th is the only date I can really make; I'll be working on the weekend of the 29th.

Sorry for my lack of attendance on Tuesday (that's to anyone who missed me) I'm teaching Chinese classes on a Tuesday night 6.45 - 8.45, couldn't get out of it.

Would love to get together with everyone before new year. If the date chosen is 27th can we arrange a get together in Newcastle for a couple of drinks on another night?

My desire to help people in all situations (even perilous ones such as disposing of homebrew) plus my guilty fetish of hat-tipping, makes this party irresistible to me.
28th-29th is better for me.
I missed the last game, as anyone at the last game hopefully noticed, so if someone could go over any pertinent details that I might have missed, i'd appreciate it. I'd hate to turn up in a blue cotton shirt when the dress code was black pvc only...

For what it is worth I cannot make any of those date as Lis is working the first two so I have the bairn and by the evening of the 29th I will be 300 miles north of here. Still I whole heartedly support this event and wish you all the very best of times. If some one can arrange a few incriminating photos and some good gossip for when I return it would be much appreciated.

Right I can make any of those dates, but emma dosent get her ours till the Wednesday of the week ahead to as I said earlier, pick a date and we'll try and make it.

I can try to request it off, they promised me a weekend off in Dec, but I can ask them if they can just give me the night off, or I'll swap it with someone if possible...

I think the Friday Night or the Saturday Night will be best for me.

Emma's just got her hours and she cant go, I would only go if theres someone who was already going to drive back to take me home, as I don't want to deprive anyone of their chance to drink and I wouldn't feel comfortable crashing without emma.

Right, it looks like the 28th is the best for most but is generally busy - is it the christmas bit that makes it a nightmare??

As a quick idea before confirming the 28th would the weekend after new year be any better for people?

I will look on tomorrow and see if we have any preferences before finally confirming.

Could someone who has contacts with the middlesborough lot ask them who is likely to make it and who wants crash space, only I know osh and debbie were thinking about coming up and want to make suyre I can send them directions, etc.

The weekend after new year would certainly be better for me.

If it was going to be the weekend after new year I could only attend on the saturday due to work.

Where: Our place, which is 1 Derwent Drive, Annfield plain, County Durham

How do we find it?: Everyone has come to see us has got to within 200 yards of the house easily and struggled with the very last bit, so firstly make sure you've got our number (below) in case you get lost!

Most people will get to Annfield plain from the A693 from Stanley to Consett. Turn in towards Annfield Plain from the roundabout with a "Total" Garage on one corner. Follow the road to a "T" junction on a corner, turn left, Take the second right (just after a pelican crossing) Then the roads don't really line up but go generally ahead, take fourth left then second right. follow this street (Thomas street, one of the few with a street name) to the end and Derwent drive is ahead left (two big houses on their own, we are the first one.

Derwent drive doesn't appear on many street maps, so if you would like a map you are better looking for Thomas street in Annfield Plain. It's postcode is DH9 7SN
