Hey AP Forums I've been working on my very own HP Lovecraft board/RPG game. I was thinking of a way to get some public opinion on it and since its nearing it's beta stage, I wondered if anyone at AP would be interested. I plan on having it playable by AP, if not finished by then.

Would you want to try?
Do you have any questions about it?
Do you think it doesn't belong at AP?

I like board games, but have never really played RPGs. Could you describe it a little more?

Well its kinda hard to describe. I guess if I had to describe it I would say its a dumb down version of a RPG but more story driven and less customizable.

There is no STR DEX CON etc... instead you have only a few hit points, as well as a strength and marksmanship modifier. Combat will be done with a d20 with your two modifiers factoring in on them. The rest of the rolls you'll do will be on a d20, this is meant to make the game roll through combat much faster and keep people interested. I think it will be a good change from the traditional d20 system.

Character creation is limited as of now to 3 classes; Investigator, professor and civilian. I may add more later if I can get the mechanics balanced enough. I have a good selection of items for you to choose from too but not too many as to draw away from the stories.

I am currently writing a story for people to play to get used to the game as a starter. I really want to leave it open for people to make their own stories though.

Think of it as a choose your own adventure but an RPG instead.

It seems very interesting, if a slightly more anime flavor can be elbowed in I think it'd be perfect for the con.
