FINALLY, after 31 years, the original Mobile Suit Gundam gets a proper domestic release. Let there be much singing and rejoicing in the streets! |

I approve of this. I got one of the original movie DVDs from when those were released, but I've been unable to find the other 2.

"the 42-episode series will be released in two parts in 2011. (One episode out of the original 43-episode length was never dubbed in English"
That I do not approve of. Not dubbing it is fine, but it should still be on the DVD. |

Well, in the article it says that one episode wasn't dubbed at the request of Tomino. But that's no reason not to just sub it and put it on there in Japanese. ><

The episode in question was probably the infamous "long-bright" episode that was a victim of circumstance in that the key frames were done by Tomino himself as the original lead artist had to be hospitalized for fatigue and a replacement had not yet been found. The art was so terrible that Tomino has done everything in his power to ensure that it never sees the light of day. His specific quote is something to the extent of "There is a reason I don't want it shown, but as the staff is still alive I cannot say". I've long felt Tomino believes he is immortal, incidentally.
For a summary you can read it here: http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Mobile_Suit_G...Doan.27s_Island Honestly seems like a shitty episode, all told. |

Crunchyroll has a lot of good shit in general. I am quite impressed honestly.
Streaming really is becoming the new way to watch anime and it seems to be a method most fans can get behind. Its coming out as it airs in Japan and its legal and legit on a lot of sites. Best of both worlds in a lot of ways. |

Yeah. I think the ability to watch anime online is important, especially with the prices. I know I don't generally like to spend $40+ on something I know nothing about and have never seen before. So, being able to watch them online lets me figure out what I want to buy. Lol.

I've never used Crunchyroll to watch anime before. So I don't know if they already do this or not but in general I think it would be a good idea to link to sites selling the anime that you just watched/completed. And mabie a few that are similar or something.

Hulu also has some surprising stuff. I know we found out that there was Harlock on Hulu. Other than that though I don't watch much anime online. I've got my boyfriend's large collection of dvds to keep me happy
