I was checking out the hotel website and came across the parking options. It seems that there are a few different options (all of which are a little costly). Since I'm not from the area, does anyone know what options provide for the shortest walk to the hotel? Are there any free parking options that con attendees will be able to partake of?

There is free parking near the Hotel here is the info from the site though I think you have to have a room at the hotel to get this so ya you will probably do this, and if you don't get a room at the con hotel SHAME ON YOU!! tongue.gif lol

The convention center has a built in parking garage, however there is cheaper parking for attendees of the convention just around the block. Those of you wise and cool enough to stay at the hotel will have free parking here. Attendees not staying in the Hyatt will have a discounted rate of 8 dollars a day.

Just take High Street one street south to Chestnut St.
Turn left, and the parking will be immediately on your left.
Remember to mention the convention to get the special parking rate.

Blessed are the literate, for they will give directions in the Kingdom of God.

And for what it's worth, they Chestnut St. Garage has walkways to the Hyatt. I should probably add that to the website as well. We'll (assuming we remember) have signs up directing you there as well.

The garage attached to the Hyatt is obviously closer, but is also more expensive.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I guess that I should have checked around the site a bit more.

Of course, I wouldn't miss out on staying at the con hotel. Thus, it looks like I'll be able to partake of the free parking.

There's the parking lot by the firestation that's $3 per day. It's under the 3rd street bridge by 4th street/nationwide.

This site has info on a trick for free parking:

Well if you have a room at the Hyatt you get free parking at the Chestnut Garage, which while not ideal is still connected.

Also the closest garage is 14 bucks, not 21. 21 is just for Valet, which no one needs.
