I mean, you don't even care enough about what you're typing to use proper spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. If you don't care about it, why should the reader? I hope you put more effort into your costume, 'cause based on the way you type it'll be absolutely awful, not to mention an insult to the entire fandom, just like you. I just noticed your new picture (miracle the camera didn't break) and you can't even get the pants right. I stand by my assertion that your costume is going to suck. Come on, have you even seen the anime or read the comics (Yeah, in Japan they're referred to with the katakana word komikkusu)? Or have you just seen the odd fanart and thus declared yourself t3h ub3r 1nuy45h4 f4n?

I have 3 easy pieces of advice: 1) Know what you're talking about (I'm willing to bet that most of the people here know a lot more about anime than you do), 2) learn to type (so that whoever reads your posts knows that you know what you're talking about), and 3) learn forum etiquette, ie: QUIT BLOODY SPAMMING!

If you follow those simple suggestions, people will like you a lot more.

Erm, inuyasha_goth, I think Snowy does have a point about the typing thing. How to put this...when you refuse to put captailization and puncation it makes your post look like they may have been something a second grader wrote, even if that isn't the case. The way posts are typed is sorta like posture. Without the grammer basics, people won't think highly of your posts despite the content. Add it all, people believe your someone who seriously cares about what they're saying and then what you're saying might be worth reading. I know that not all people(everyone specially littlings like me make spelling errors and it's a little hard for my sister Hellsing) but making the effort will make a huge difference.

I tend to be fairly laid-back (well, I try to be, anyway), but I really needed to get that out of my system. I tried trying to get my point across in a less inflammatory method, but Goth just wasn't getting the message... It seemed like anything more subtle than an outright flame would just go over his head. And even with the flame, I don't think he gets it...

For the record, I don't mind the occasional typo or whatever - I'm no grammar Nazi (Mokona knows I've made my fair share of mistakes) - so as long as the effort is there...

Well i type like four words a second so i really don't look over it as I type.

It is nice that you can type fast, however people are going to be a hell more impressed with grammer and capatalization then speed. It doesn't take that long either...

Seriously, who cares how fast you can type if no one cares to read it? Besides, these are forums, not IMs. No one can tell you fast you type anyhow.

Inu Goth: I think this is a good time for you to back down from the argument and let it settle down. From now on put a little more thought into your posts. It's not hard to capitalize and punctuate. Spelling is a little harder (as I'm sure I'm demostrating quite clearly here), but with special names and such it's a must.

Just remember that quality is far more important than quantity. Typing a million posts that are all innane fragment sentances is meaningless. Being a total lurker who only posts once in blue moon (Criss!) isn't great either though, since the forums would dry up. Try to find a happy medium. I'm not accusing you of anything one way or the other, but keep it in mind.

I welcome anyone to this con and these forums, but try not to behave in a manor that allows for fun happy forum usage!
