| Name: The Word of Kemmlar - Corpse Walking
Rank: Chuunin +
Description: I had a whole little evil-maniacal-crazy description and history planned out but after my fudgeing laptop fried out I said screw it. You get the simple one… Necromancers and corpses. Deal with it!
Stuff you need to know before we get started!!!!!!
Corpse Mechanics: What is a corpse? Well that is quite obvious. A corpse is a shell of a person, an empty husk that once contained life. When a corpse is brought back to life several rules and new effects come into play. First and foremost a corpse still has an impression of the soul that once resided in it imprinted into it. It remembers and feels what it once knew before death. Well, I should have probably mentioned that the corpse is aware of things, it still has its own thoughts and it can see and reason, like a normal human. Sadly though, or well gratefully the corpse cannot control itself and has no free will of its own. Now why the corpse still has this impression isn’t exactly known but some suspect that it is simply because a body is a home and those who live in a home always leave impressions on it.
The zombie or corpse is unable to act on its own and needs to be controlled by an outside source. It needs charka to move it and to allow it to carry out its commands. They are at the full control of their master and are unable to disobey them. The zombie (I use this term loosely) has no idea that it is dead but rather believes that it is still breathing, walking, and thinking. Upon that they believe what they are doing is their own choice and that they have reasons for doing what they do… even if it is attacking a loved one.
When a corpse is used by a shinobi, it has keeps what ever wounds it had when it was resurrected. The corpse is unaware of the wounds that it holds and they appear uninjured to themselves unless the wound is something of great magnitude. (Would limit normal movement like a snapped spine, broken legs, arms, missing appendages and so on) Several things might prevent a corpse from being useful, such as, the most obvious one being missing its head. Other things like it having its brain destroyed beyond recognition or being… melted may also prevented the corpse from being useful. Without further training the corpses remain as strong as a normal corpse can be… eventually they can be toned and sculpted into a perfect killing machine. The corpses may be killed like any normal human but seem to be more durable.
The zombies may not use jutsu or weapons.
- Disharmony of the Spirit
Description: The most basic and necessary technique to control a corpse. A corpse most obviously lacks its own charka and energy of its own and therefore it needs the charka of another. The shinobi funnels a constant stream of charka to the corpse or corpses in mind and fills their body with their body with it. The charka can move the muscles and bend joints allowing full control over the corpse. At this early stage a shinobi vanoot enhance the strength of their zombies so they are only as strong and fast as a normal human. They also move a little clunky like because the shinobi’s control is mediocre at best.
- Anatomy of a Corpse
Description: Controlling a corpse is not easy business. A corpse still acts like a normal body, so to control it, one must have knowledge of how the human body functions. Chakra must be used to cause muscles to spasm or react to make the corpse move. A shinobi must know every muscle, its general shape and location, and the same goes for joints too. Without this knowledge the charka sent to the corpse would not do anything.
- Beat of a Heart
Description: The final necessity required to control a corpse is a beat. Yes a simple beat. It could be your hands on a or your lap, or a drum, or something else entirely. The zombie now lacks a heart beat but it remembers having one so it does not react without one. To replace this beat the shinobi needs an artificial heart beat. Without one the corpse would slump over and do nothing. No amount of charka can control the corpse without a beat – although you might succeed and in jump starting it for a few seconds before having it combust. The shinobi is unskilled at this level and can easily lose control of his beat and must use both hands at the same time.
- Discourse of Death
Requirements: Disharmony of the Spirit, Anatomy of a corpse, Beat of a heart
Description: Final after all of your hard work you can combine it into a single jutsu. This technique simple lets you control two corpses… at this level the shinobi is to weak to control much more. The corpse must be within ear shot of the beat… that would normally depend on what is being used to make the beat but I would say at most fifty yards with a large drum… far less with just your hands.
- Words for Those who Cannot Speak
Description: By using charka to move the vocal cords and voice box the shinobi can force the corpse to speak what the shinobi wants. This technique works well if the shinobi is hidden or the enemy cannot tell it is a corpse talking. The corpse must have the proper body parts to use this technique. (Mouth, jaw, tongue, voice box, throat, vocal cords, ect…)
- Thoughts for Those who Cannot Think
Description: While technicall the corpses do have thoughts of their own but this technique does not affect that. Rather the shinobi cannot plan ahead in combat without this technique. This technique allows the shinobi to plan ahead and set traps and give the corpse multiple commands at once.
- Rhythm of a Heart
Description: Much like Disharmony of the Soul, this is an upgraded version if its lesser form or Beat of a heart. This technique simply allows the shinobi to create the needed beat with one hand and not lose control as easily. The shinobi must actually fall to stop his beating.
- Symphony of a Lost Soul
Description: A simple idea that isn’t so simple in practice. The shinobi uses a scroll (Provided) covered in his blood and formed into seals to create a holding chamber of sorts. This scroll can consume corpses and perfectly preserve them in the condition they are in till a later time. The corpses can be summoned mid-combat and on the run but each scroll holds up to six corpses. Only one corpse can be summoned per post. (Only one per person) (All shinobi who take this justsu are provided with two corpse)
- Disharmony of the Soul
Description: An upgraded version of Disharmony of the Spirit, this version is far more efficient. Less chakra is required to reach the previous condition of the corpse allowing it to be spread out more. Not only this, but the chakra allows for the shinobi to condition his corpses to a much more enhanced state. The zombies are faster and stronger then before and are able to perform feats that were before impossible. They move as fast as a shinobi and are as strong as one as well. They can take a beating unlike before as well.
- Cacophony of a Screaming Death
Description: The shinobi releases a barrage of beats that give the impression of an adrenaline rush in the corpses. The corpses lose control and attack anything – anything in sight in a savage fury while the new rhythm lasts.
- Discourse of Undeath
Description: Ok, you get the idea at this point… This upgraded version allows the shinobi to control up to five corpses at the same time.
- Whisper of a Last Breath
Description: The shinobi discharges a sudden and intense wave of chakra to any nearby corpse. The corpse is overflowed with chakra and simply explodes in a wave of nauseating force and innards. The force can break bones and rupture skin and the rotten innards may cause infections or diseases if not properly treated. This means that if the innards get into an open wound they will be infected by numerous harmful viruses and bacteria. Within five posts they will feel fatigued and within ten they will gain a fever.
- Disharmony of the Mind
Description: Again another upgraded version of past jutsu. This technique allows the zombies to become even swifter and stronger but few reach this level. Each zombie is as strong as a full grown jounin and just as swift. The amount of hits they can take is not increased though.
- Cadence of the Heart
Description: The final stage of this jutsu. The shinobi is a master of the rhythm now. They are capable of keeping a beat under all circumstances and can only be stopped if their hands and fingers are forced open so they cannot move. A single finger is capable of creating a beat loud enough to be heard for at least thirty yards.
- Discourse of Life
Description: At this stage the shinobi is capable of holding ten zombies under their command. The more corpses they control the harder it is to keep a beat at this stage though.
- Breath of Life
Description: Just as necromancery may be used to create death, it can also be used to cause life… or to a limited degree. This jutsu simply lets the shinobi heal wounds on the corpses under his command. All damage except for major head trauma and decapitation are subject to this justsu. The more grievous the wound the more chakra it takes to heal. This technique may also be used on a living target but instead of healing wounds it has an astounding effect. It forces the person to hold on to life against there bodies will until someone is capable of returning them to life. This jutsu can be held for several threads but for every post it is held out the weaker the shinobi using it gets.
Note: This technique will not regenerate limbs or large appendages.
- Whispering Breath of sorrow
Description: The final offensive technique within the teachings of this journal. Much like Whisper of a Last Breath the shinobi again causes a corpse to explode. This time though the viruses within the corpse are far more dangerous and disturbing. If the bacteria is to get into any wounds the enemy will quickly feel the effects. Within two posts they will become fatigued, within three they will generate a fever, within six they will hallucinate. Then within ten they will start to vomit and within fifteen will be knocked unconscious. If they are not treated within three threads the shinobi shall fall victim to the disease and die. This technique needs enemy permission.
- Life for Those who were not Alive
Description: The final technique of this entire tree. This is a finish all, end all technique… a technique that sacrifices the life of this shinobi using it. Kemmlar himself found out that the shinobi could funnel all of their chakra and life energies into a corpse and restore it to life. All wounds would miraculously heal and the icy cold clutches of death would be opened. The target would essentially be returned to life. A side effect does occur though, well other then the user of this technique dying. Any shinobi brought back to life by this technique have a part of their personality fractured… or that is the easiest way to put it. Because of the dark life energies and chakra used to restore them their mind is bent slightly. Part of the person who brought them back to life is stored within them… their memories and feelings blend with the dead they revived. Requires GM approval.
Note: (SPOILER - SPOILER - SPOILER:
Think Chiyo bringing Gaara back from the dead with that jutsu that sacrificed her.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER)
