Title: The Uchiha and other fun things
Description: Among other things
Fire Fist Ace - April 22, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
Ok, this has been bugging me for a long time and now that I'm a mod again (mwuahaha) I get to say it.
A) No one and I mean NO ONE knows how to obtain the mangekyou sharingan. Not even Satori, the most powerful Uchiha clam member knows exactly how to obtain the most powerful form of the sharingan. Sasuke only knew because of his brother and it wasn't revealed how Itachi knew. Anyone claiming to know of the the way to gain the more powerful form of the sharingan does not actually know, and you would have to post asking higher member of the Uchiha clan if you wanted any information about the mange short of how to obtain it. No more of this assuming you know and wanting to kill your cloest friend because you don't even know if that is how you obtain it in this world.
B ) learning Taijutsu is vastly different with the sharingan than learning ninjutsu. Ninjutsu only require making the correct handseals in the correct and having the proper chakra level. You are able to follow and copy taijutsu, HOWEVER, since your body is usually not particularly adept in the taijutsu training, i.e. if your character copied the speed or the stances of a fighter, then it would take a while to be able use the speed or stances used. Sasuke tooks months of preparation before he was truly able to master the speed of Rock Lee and Lee's stances. And let me one thing perfectly clear, no one here is Uchiha Sasuke, so don't try and pull that stuff.
Also, you know what really grinds my gears? The fact that everyone is making missing-nin, and I mean EVERYONE. Is there like a meeting I didn't hear about where we decided that everyone was gonna make their missing-nins? Seriously, there is no need for this many missing-nin and soon-to-be missing nin.
Well, I'll leave you to think about that. As far now, peace out.
Uchiha Satori - April 22, 2006 03:59 PM (GMT)
Just to follow that up, it's not just with the Uchiha. Remember that a genin really isn't going to know a lot about techniques unless they've seen them before. Sure they may know what the sharingan does, but they won't know exactly how it works. I mean Zabuza STUDIED that kind of stuff, and he still didn't know.
The only people who would really know about the byakugan's weak point, are members of the Hyuuga clan. Just like how only people with the mangekyuu sharingan would know that it makes you go blind. Just remember, keep an objective mind when it comes to techniques. You may know what they do and how they work, but chances are your character won't if he's never seen it before.
As far as the missing nin thing.. Do it if you want. But beware of the ANBU.
Omega2042 - April 22, 2006 06:48 PM (GMT)
Oh and to add on even more:
1) THe gates. OK, genin who cant use them should not know they exist. They are a forbidden techinque. So chances are your teacher wouldnt want you to know about them and since you need to train in taijutsu to be able to even sort of control the side-effect, someone who hasnt would just die from using pretty much any of them, certainly 3+.
2) OK, really. You shouldnt know about ANYONE'S Trump Card attacks. Then there is also that juse because you are fighting someone who uses the same chart, doesnt mean you should know all of their attacks too. You dont know how strong they are, or anything else. You pretty much have to learn how everyone fights as you fight them. This does include Taijutsu as well. Two people might use it, but that doesnt mean their styles are the same. One might use more punches than the other and stuff like that.
So just think about how your character would know all the stuff they know. I mean it is possible to know some of this stuff, but it has to make sense. Like if you are a Hyuuga would would know another Hyuuga's trump card, but you might not know how strong they are. Look at Hinata's father, he was surprised that Neji could use Kaiten.
Uchiha Mikyas - April 23, 2006 04:29 PM (GMT)
I'm not trying to be a Uchiha Sasuke. As a matter of fact I couldn't care less if I was more minor a character than a Chouji. The only reason I said he wants to obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan is because I thought it would probably do something to spice up the plot. As far as I'm concerned, there is NOTHING my character can do in this RP.... or at least nothing that I can think of.
Also, the whole Sasuke taking a long time to get Rock Lee's speed. I've read the manga 3 times over so I already knew and comprehended that before I even entered my character in this RP.
As for the Mangekyou Sharingan, if Satori is a good guy, why would he have it anyway? Besides, if it's in the technique charts, it's an ability I can learn to use OVER TIME. If I'm not allowed to use it anytime in my character's life when he's ready, which of course should be a while from now, then you should delete it from the charts. A Uchiha should know about it anyway, unless NO ONE's activated it ever in history.
Oh and just for reference, I'm not trying to make any mods look bad here in case anyone's thinking that from my flaming post nor am I trying to get my character to be the "best/strongest" in the RP.
So basically, I just thought my character would need to contribute to the big plot in this RP.
Fire Fist Ace - April 24, 2006 01:13 AM (GMT)
Yes, however, no one knows how to obtain it, at least no one your character would have talked to as activating that is a secret due to exactly what it does. These are general posts to every based on what we've seen on the boards. Second, I do believe Sasuke only knew because itachi told him. Your backstory didn't say anything about learning that it exists. The mange is a tight kept secret due to it's immense power and capabilities. We never said it couldn't happen, but there needs to be a little more behind it other than just deciding too. We're trying to get people into the bigger plot, and we do want people to contribute. However, there needs to be a story behind or something.

The missing-nin problem is fine with me. It just makes for some fun missions to kill n00blets. Most genin wouldn't even think of becoming missing-nin due to their weakness... apparently, noone thought of that. Kulmiye, if you didn't remember, got the pulp beaten out of his character by mine because he became a missing-nin.
Just to let you know.
Fire Fist Ace - April 24, 2006 03:09 AM (GMT)
Lol, no I don't particularly care. It's just like overwhelming sometimes. I hope Ayame isn't turning into a missing-nin, I liked that character.
Uchiha Mikyas - April 24, 2006 07:41 PM (GMT)
First of all, the backstory did tell how my character learned about it. My character found out about it by reading the scrolls of his clan.... Basically just a total history of the clan and their abilities. I posted it somewhere in the "Uchiha Sushi Bar" topic, in case you didn't bother to read it. Then again, a total Uchiha history scrolls might not be allowed to be in the hands of my character.
Also, my character won't be a missing nin for some time now let alone as a genin. He will become one after his attempt to kill the Hokage, which he knows will be a LONG time, since he'll have to AT LEAST obtain the power of the 3rd stage of Sharingan, which takes a lot of time for someone at his stage.. His feelings are pretty much kept inside and a bit unsure.
Let me just close up what I have to say with this, I am not trying to be like anyone from the show and I could care less if my character dies or loses as long as something interesting happens to him.
But since you're right about how secret it's kept and how powerful it is, I'll edit the posts, in the far future have him get it, possibly during or after his challenge to the Hokage.
PS: If my character ever tries to kill him, I honestly don't have a problem with ANBU coming in and destroying him, but what I would like, is to have the match close enough, but not to the death... Probably just like him losing after getting close questioning why he failed for his father. Again, I'll say my character won't attack the Hokage for years.
Fire Fist Ace - April 24, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
I didn't notice it in the uchiha sushi bar and for that I will apologize, I had read it before and I guess I missed it. So, for that I'm sorry. Also, it's not that you can't find out how to obtain it, but I think we were changing exactly how to obtain it, so the way known in Naruto may not be the way here.
And, again, that part of my post was really more of a jest. If you want him to become missing, I don't have a problem. I jsut find it amusing that everyone seems to be taking that angle.
Uchiha Mikyas - April 24, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)
Actually I think I'm just going to completely change my character's decision. It will be a reasonable change of course, not like "Evil reigns supreme" to like "Let's spread happiness and fun everywhere!"
The only reason I'm changing my mind is because I just found out everyone's pushing the missing nin scene... yes I'm very fickle.
Mazrith986 - April 24, 2006 09:41 PM (GMT)
And now I'll step in. Fab and I already decided how to obtain the magne. It's not the same as the show. When we decide someone needs it then they will get it.

Fark No. Ayame's a goody goody. Her twin brother on the other hand...

very subtle Ds, but awesome.
