Title: State of the Site

Uchiha Satori - April 16, 2006 06:49 AM (GMT)
Ok, It's been a while since I've posted any sort of serious announcement regarding the site, but I figure now is as good a time as any. First off, unless you've been in a coma for the past month, you've seen that the Chuunin Exam has been going on. Personally I think it went well. The third round really seemed to drag on however, mostly due to some inactivity, but mostly due to OOC disagreements.

Anyway, considering that it was our first exam, I think it went pretty alright! We'll certainly learn from our mistakes and improve it for next time. (Watch out for one in June or July).

Now as it stands, Yamado would be the only person to pass the exam, but only because it had been decided that the winner of the tournament would be come a chuunin regardless of performance. Honestly I would have no one pass if that were possible.. but alas it isn't. However, genin will be able to gain rank ups through certain events not including the exam. More on that later.

So now that the exam is all but over, we're going to be moving into a small little story arc, involving a few of the things you might have seen developing during the chuunin exam, as well as some brand new faces. Naturally once that has fully come to the light I'll post about how it will all go down. Hopefully everyone will be able to get involved.

Last and possibly the most important thing I want to touch on is some changes to how the site will work. As of right now, the official moderating team is:

Admins: Uchiha Satori, Mazrith986, Fire Fist Ace
Mods: Omega2042, Yari Isumi

When you need help, here is the order in which you should contact us.

For general help: Uchiha Satori->Mazrith986->Omega2042->Fire Fist Ace
For Character Applications: Uchiha Satori->Mazrith986
For Technique Charts: Omega2042->Uchiha Satori
For Most Anything Else: Fire Fist Ace

Oh, and there will be a LOT of new missions in the near future. Keep on the lookout for new missions at all ranks, and a jutsu scroll system. And Maz won the bracket guessing game, he used the money to buy Chidori.. lol. In other news Mike (Kintaro) is an ass, and I hate him.

I would appreciate if you guys left comments on how you're feeling about the RP in general right now.. If you're bored, excited, pissed off.. thoughts, ideas, w/e. I'd love feedback on the exam. I know I worked hard on part 2.

Well, I think I will start off by commenting on Mike. He was about as arrogant as me, but at least I admit I am arrogant...

Also, your free ride for new charts is over! Now you have to go through someone who wont just accpet things to get them out of the way.

As for the exam, it went pretty good up until the end. Now without going into great detail as to why, because then this post would go on and on ano on for way too long, I will just say that ending the exam was going to be the hardest step anyway.

The first round was really the hardest to do in terms of all the posts that had to be done. So with everyone all ready for the exam this was a good time to get this one out of the way.

The seocnd one took the most prep work I am sure. Thinking of everything that can happen, placing all the traps and making it all balanced. I dont want to think about it anymore really. Just trust me when I say I know how much effort went into this part.

The third part was really the easiest to do really. Just make the braket and its done. Then you just have to hope nothing happens that causes people to stop posting for some reason.

Now as to how I am doing with it. I am ready to get back to Mist and see where things do form there. With my jounin I already have my training planned for my poor poor genin.

Yea, I'm pretty excited to come back into the swing of things. I have some new stuff planned for Kainta, and some more stuff for the kages to be dealing with. (for example, a certain rogue sand user). I liked the chuunin exam and look forward to everything that we do from here on out. Personally I think that you should only be able to become a chuunin through the exam, but that's just me. Anyway, look forward to some fun, and maybe a cheap laugh or two.
