A large black rabbit was tending her vegetables behind her house quietly. She hummed an odd, likely home-made melody to herself and her vegetables as she pulled out an overly large carrot. "Hmm. I have some good crops this season! I may be able to offer the churchmice something this year. I'm sure they won't mind a few vegetables or a carrot or two." She smiled and giggled gleefully before putting her carrot in her shed for later cleaning and consumption. She replanted another seed and looked into her empty sack. "Hmm... I'm going to have to stop by the abbey and pick up some seeds. I'm almost out... Oh well..." She sighed and went back to work until...

OoC:Do you mind if my character, Filrion joins your thread later?
OoC:Do you want to be a mod?

A large group of stormheads began to gather overhead, painting the sky a black colour. A slight drizzle began to fall from the sky, like light snow, but it soon increased to a healthy rain. Large puddles began forming, as the surroundimg landscape became a wet, rainy place, with water dripping from elms, and shrubbery...

OOC: the more the merrier! i like it when people join my threads. mostly because most often, when i join a forum, it ends up dieing not to long later. it's so annoying... and boring. but i always have something to do as a mod!... almost...
OOC OOC: YES! I LOVE TO REPLY TO OTHER PEOPLE'S POSTS! IS SO MUCH FUN!

The rabbit looked up and sighed contentedly, predicting the later weather from the current stormheads. "Shouldn't be a long one, but it oughta be a bit heavy... Prolly just on the edge of it now... Better cover up the vegies..." She went back to the shed and removed a small tarp, covering the garden after picking another ripe carrot for dinner. She place another seed, let some of the rain hit it, then covered up the garden so it wouldn't drown. "Hope theyll be okay. Anyway, nothing i c'n do now 'cept keep meself warm." she walked inside with the carrot and began making a carrot stew, including some of the basil she had picked earlier and some of the seasons ripe tomatoes. the tantalizing smell soon carried through the wood quietly to all the animals, who instantly knew that Marla Clarence Black was cooking her famous carrot stew.

As the storm cast a gloomy aura around the forest, a small traveler, a hedgehog to be precise, was trudging through the rain. Mud and water dripped from his sodden quils, and his red cloak was thoroughly saturated with rain. As he walked, a lovely smell filled the air. Following the scent, he began to make out the faint outline of a cottage amidst the rain. Smoke was rising from its chimney, as he scurried towards it, and knocked on the door...

Marla turned and smiled. This happened often. Someone would be caught in the rain, at which point she would fix the soup and end up with diners. (occasionally someone would purposely get stuck in the rain for the soup.) She stirred the soup a moment, then walked to the door. She had left the light off inside and as the door opened didnt show up against the darkness. Her den was somewhat complex for a single rabbit with no family to speak of. The fire in the front room's fireplace shown lightly through the door as the rabbit smiled, feeling sly and sneaky at the moment. She slipped outside, under cover of rain and darkness, and gave the hedgehog a fair push into the den, removing his cloak in the same action as she quickly followed and placed the cloak on the rack, then closed the door and pushed the hedghog towards the warm fire in the living quarters. She continued to be silent, her only prescense made known by the urgently pushing paws on the hedgehogs back, expertly placed to remove the threat of the quills. Once the hedgehog was within the room, the paws dissappeared with the rabbit, who, even in the light, did not show up. She finally turned on the lights behind the hedgehog and handed him a blanket before rushing back to tending her soup. She worked like the storm itself, one minute in one area, the next digging in a floor-cupboard, the next back at the food, then in the kitchen getting the ladle. She moved fast as lightning and just as hard to catch with the eye, still not making any noise. She soon sat on the couch with two bowls, each bearing a spoon, and offering one to the hedgehog. "Come. Sit! Partake of the meal! I made plenty. I'm expecting a few local squirrels. They always make themselves known here when it rains. Their tree has a leak that I swear I've fixed a million times."

The hedgehog was very surprised when he was unceremoniously dragged into, the house, and shoved into a soft chair by a warm fire. Nontheless, he was very glad, and laughed to himself about the unruly squirrels. "Your soup must be truly grand if you are consistently invaded by squirrels." He took a sip. "And it is! I swear, this soup is as good, if not better than things I've had at that Redwall Abbey! What is your name? Mines Pipkin." He took another sip, and gobbled down a carrot that was floating in the broth. The hedgehog wrapped himself tighter in the blanket. The torrential downpour outside had been unmercilessly cold, and he was soaked to the bone...

"Name's Marla. Thanks for the compliment. It's actchully kinda bland tonight. Little low on herbs." Marla said. A gentle knock on the door again brought a magnificent, half-malicious smile to her face as she sniffed the air. "heh. Guess who's here!" She dissappears to enter the squirrels, who instantly pile in, seven-odd, onto the floor and await dishes. two adults, three prematures, and three young squirrels sat in an untidy, unarranged group on the floor as Marla dashed to and fro, dropping dishes here and there into first the childrens, then the adolescents and adults hands, spoons for each entering the bowls quietly without even a splash. The children all dug in happily as the adults smiled at Pipkin politely. "Well, this is Pipkin, a hedgehog of redwall who joins us tonight for some of my slightly bland soup!"
"It's not bland! It's really good!" cried one of the younger squirrels.
"It's just a bit short on spice. Got any pepper powder yet?" one of the adolescents questioned, a female.
"Oh, it's no big deal." called the adult female.
"We all make mistakes now and then." the adult male recieved a jab in the ribs and at least two bonks on the head from the female and the adolescents.
"Nope, sorry. Not time to harves them yet, and they're not in my garden this year anyways. Ole' Tuck Mole took that crop this year." A thunderclap scared the children and Marla perked a moment. "Oh, thats right! Just sit there a minute, kiddoes!" The adult female looked off-oddly at Marla as she dissappeared deep into the tunnels of her den, reappearing a few minutes later with a set of seven dolls, shaped as squirrels and dressed in varying clothing. She handed one in a kimono to one of the little female children and passed the others out accordingly, to her whim. The adults smiled and jumped to hug the dolls as a second thunderclap boomed through the den. The kids seemed much calmer and didn't scream when they had their newfound toys. "These are for when it rains, since your tree has a constant leaking..." she said, winking at the adult femme. She and the male smiled sheepishly and took to their soup silently.

I just thought you should know, this RPG takes place after Loamhedge, or whatever the latest book was(High Rhulain, I think), to avoid confusion in having characters take double roles(ie.another player is currently the Abbot) Therefore, Silent Sam would not be alive, unless he was about 200 years old. Sorry about that

OoC:about 15, taking place before and after "Redwall"
OoC2:Out of curiousity, how did you find this site?

Pipkin sipped his steaming broth contentedly, as the storm became an angry tempest. Presently, he lept up, spilling some soup on himself. One of the dibbuns had plucked out one of his quills, and was now brandishing it wildly. "Ha, ha! Me gotta sword!" He chased the others about the warm room. Pipkin meanwhile, was wiping up the mess with the hem of his cloak, while stammering an apology. "S-s-so s-sorry m-marm. I'll s-soon have this cleaned up. One of the other squirrels had managed to slip away, and continued playing happily with the doll. The other, however, pulled out one of Pipkin's other quills, and began fighting with his brother...

OoC:this is not my real character. He is currently in the South Stream Tributaries, so if you moderate there, I can soon have him here

OOC: It was linked to a pokemon site that i visit often. i got bored, cuz noone was on and i had nothing to do. i thought it would be a pokemon site or something, then i found that it wasnt and did research(redwall).
OOC:crap... lotsa more books ta read... *sigh* oh well. whats the one after redwall?
OOC: okay. Although somehow i think fan's got something planned on your topic. im really bad at picking up jobs sometimes, like taking over an admin thing. find it fairly easy to do my own tho.

"Oh, dont worry about it." Marla came over with a rag and began wiping at the spilled soup, replacing the bowl with another, filled bowl as she headed to the kids and removed the 'swords', dropping the two back on the floor firmly by their tails and replacing their soup. "You two know better than that! Apologize now, before I go out and get a switch to the both of you!" (she took your cloak when you came in, btw, so you were probably using the blanket.)
"Were sorry, mister pipkin." the pair said in unison.
"Good, now eat your soup and behave."

OoC:Mattimeo comes after Redwall, but if you visit Redwall.org, they have a list of the books in chronological order
OoC:Don't worry about Fanfarl, he hasn't been on in ages, but if you don't want to, I can get him to do it(he's my brother)
OoC:I notice that your siggie says pitchfork. That would be considered a trident, not a spear

"That's okay, your forgiven, but next time, please ask, as I have plenty of loose quills lying around my house." Pipkin sat warming himself by the fire, when he remembered something. "Oh, I can't believe I forgot. Here, I have some candied chestnuts here in my cloak," at this point, Pipkin got up from his comfortable chair. A few quills had been lodged loose, and were sticking into the cushioning. Pipkin was searching in a large pocket of his now semidry cloak. "Ah, here they are," he said, procuring them from the pocket. "And the rain hasn't spoiled them, how nice. Here, everyone, I have brought dessert." At the word 'dessert', the dibbuns squealed with glee, and rushed towards Pipkin, nearly knocking him over. "Steady there, little ones, theres plenty for all."

(kk. will fix.(will check on the site(will try)))
"Wonderful! I havent had candied chestnuts in ages! not since that nice mole moved away!" Marla was gently pulling quills out of her sofa and stacking them in the corner while inspecting the couch for damage. "Good. Nothing too bad." she mumbled gently. She smiled and left thr couch to take the bag of candied chestnuts. "I shall dish them out for us, you sit down and be comfortable, okay? you MUST be cold! Go! Sit!" a small, barely visible glare to the dibbons sent them back to their seats quickly. The adults almost squealed with delight while the adolescents were practically jumping where they sat while trying not to recieve one of marla's glares.

"Who is this 'nice mole' I keep hearing off?" inquired Pipking, popping a candied chestnut into his mouth. The storm outside was begining to let a bit, and was now simply a downpour. The dibbuns squealed with delight as the ate their chestnuts, and got themselves all sticky with the glaze. The adolescents ate theirs more quietly, but still, you could tell they were quite happy. Pipking was quite happy to have met such a nice rabbit, and the squirrels were also quite friendly...

"Oh, just an old beat who used to live about here. He used to come around during the storms when i was little and my mother cooked. Kind old gent, he was. He dissappeared last spring. Noone quite knows what happened to him, and trust me. I mean NOONE. I've had almost everyone in the forest here at some point or other, whether for my mother's cooking or mine, but still. Anyways, eat your chestnuts! Be happy!" Marla ate a chestnut happily, plopping it into her mouth, then became suddenly very... quiet. An unusual mood for a rabbit such as she, surely. Mrs. Squirrel looked worriedly over, but Marla excused herself, putting on a smile to hide whatever feelings she was hiding. One of the dibbons followed her, leaving her bowl of chestnuts to the others, the dibbuns and the adolescents almost fighting over what was in the bowl. The adults soon became preoccupied amidst the skirmish and trying to stop it as tails were stepped on. Marla, in the meantime, had dissappeared down her run.
