If anyone's still checking these message boards who can shed some light on the meaning of the writing on Monkey's wishing staff I would be very grateful.
As near as I can make out there are 12 characters; there's one shot about 10.30 mins into the 1st episode where about 5 1/2 can be clearly made out, and in ep 2 at 36.26 I can see 12 characters but the image is too small to make out clearly. Plus I don't read Kanji or any form of Chinese or Japanese. So, can anyone supply a clear image of the writing and translate their meaning? If so that would be fantastic!! |

Hi, it means golden clasped (or banded) as you wish staff, weight 13500 pounds. If you look at Monkey children's books sometimes they show all the Chinese lettering. I might be able to find the whole lot of characters in Chinese, Ill try to find them.
