Howdy. I've been trying recently to find 'Journey to the West', but with no luck. I know it's on the internet somewhere- I know someone who's reading it, well, was reading it anyway.
So, can anyone help me?

Edit: Curses! It didn't like my title. It was supposed to be 'Xiyou ji', in case you're interested, but with accents.

How big was your copy? The ones I've seen for sale on the internet come in several volumes.

well, taking into consideration the original text was a bizillion chapters in length well...actually i lie, the original version was 400 chapters in length)

the (abridged) version i read (by arthur wayley) is considered the truest and best english translation available, and its about 30 chapters in length (about 400 pages)

thats the one i read...and i thought it wsas pretty good! but if you wanted to be a really hard-core reader...by all means go for the 4 volume translation of the full text!

but if you go and have a look in a generic bookshop, im sure youll find yourself a copy (check the penguine classics)

I want to read the whole thing! It can't be a bigger challenge than getting through my newly acquired copy of The Chronicles of Conan.
