Title: The Band That Performed The Opening Theme

Lucy - March 17, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)
Does anyone know the name of the band who performed the theme song "Gandara"?

saiyuuki - March 17, 2005 11:21 AM (GMT)
Certainly do. They're called Godiego.
You can buy their Magic Monkey CD from here which contains all the songs they performed for Monkey:
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=COCA-11090

Song lyrics for all these songs can be found on the Monkey Music - Monkey Lyrics page.

The CD has unfortunately never had a UK release.

With tax and delivery from Japan, it's actually really cheap to buy it from CDJapan!

Here's the breakdown:
CD 1456 Yen
Airmail 800 Yen
Total 2256 Yen

Using Yahoo!'s currency converter (which has the current exchange rate as 201 Yen = 1 British pound), the total cost comes to just £11.21 - that includes the cost of the CD and airmail shipping from Japan - cheaper than most CDs you'd buy in the UK.

Plus CD Japan's service is excellent - I've ordered the CD from them in the past, and it's arrived in under a week.

You can buy the CD in the UK from UK-based esprit mail order imports store (they import it from Japan), but it's much more expensive - it's £19.99, then they add postage on top of it (£1.45) bringing it to a total cost of £21.44. Also, it says on the page that it's usually dispatched in 1 - 2 weeks!

So it's much cheaper (almost half the price!) and faster to order it direct from Japan via CD Japan :D
