How do you guys feel Obama fairs after his first year in office? Personally, I think his move towards social welfare, nationalising the healthcare system, missile disarmament and general steps towards world peace are very admirable. Oddly enough, a lot of americans are strongly oppsed to this move towards the center left, believing it makes them look weak, that obama is a communist and most oddly a taliban mole trying to ruin america from the inside. There was a national outcry when Obama bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia

He's certainly started moving America in the right direction... but emphasis on started. He still hasn't actually achieved anything significant. At the end of the day, I think he won't match up to the hopes people had in the election, but will probably go down as a fairly good president - and will probably win a second term if the fanatics continue to tighten their grip on the Republican party.
