Breaking his trance of looking out the window Nikolai smirked at Faith and clapped his other hand on top of hers.

“Like they say to France, C’est le Vie,” Nikolai said with a smile. He could smell the pizza in the oven and his mouth began to water. He wondered if those vampyres he had run into earlier in the month felt the same way when they saw him.

Faiths smile grew as the smell of pizza met her nose, her mouth started to water,
"That smells so good" She turned her head slightly so that she was looking out the window before she carefully removed her hand from under Nikolai's.

Her mind raced back trying to pick the last time she'd had a normal night like this, the last time she had a friend of any description appart from Mark and his family. She shook her head as she realised it must have been over two centuries ago.
"So, you used to flip pizza's hey? That is something i'll have to see to believe my dear Nikolai" Faith said quickly trying to destroy the silence.
