I just watched the new dub, and I must say I'm impressed. They quite faithfully reproduced the original story, while still making localization changes that didn't feel like they were dumbing it down. This was NOT a 4Kids dub, ladies and gentlemen. :)
The theme song is different, they redid it instead of dubbing the original one. It's upbeat and catchy, and sounds very similar to what you'd expect on a morning cartoon in North America. It doesn't hold a candle to the Danzen Futari wa Precure in my opinion, but I still like it.
The only thing that really glared out at me was when Natalie tripped Ryan on his way out of her room, and he ran off sarcastically faking crying about being hurt and doing a obviously poor job of it. In the original, Ryouta ran off yelling at his mom that Nagisa was teasing him, like he was begging for Okaa-san to punish her for him. It still came off okay... it gets the point out that the two of them live to tease each other pretty much. The dub makes Ryan sound like less of a whiny tattle-tale than Ryouta though. And maybe that's why they changed it that way. Make him look like he has a little more confidence to fend for himself I suppose.
