Personality:
Being of a natural dark nature, Ariyanya is a bit more off than your usual Mermaid. Her thoughts are as fluid as the ocean itself and often hold the same kind of untold danger. Having spent the majority of her life alone, Ariyanya is very distant and wary of land-folk which has brought upon her unhealthy obsession with them. This attraction and curiosity is the main cause for her thievery, where she often takes trinkets and loosely placed items from the shore for her own pleasure. Ariyanya isn't sure what to expect from her life as of now, but she knows there has to be something more than floating around the vast waters. Don't be fooled though for she does play the role of innocence very well. If given the chance she would gladly mangle your legs just simply to see how they work, the sad part being you would have never known what hit you. She is stealthy and most of all observant, making her a deadly threat. Luckily, her interests are easily peaked. Her vicious tendencies can easily be set aside when faced with something new and exciting making her approachable by anyone stupid enough to get close.
Ariyanya is care-free and very relaxed. She doesn't let her emotions build up and can deal with anything fairly well. Her social skills are extremely low due to next to no contact with anyone which means she will probably be a bit cranky upfront, seeing as how she'd find it difficult to convey what she wants or means. When she's not fixated on her latest catch, Ariyanya loves to sun bathe which is actually an important part of how she feeds. Many people have reported seeing a flashing light out at sea, some of which were so drawn that they ventured out never to come back to shore. She is stubborn and somewhat set in her ways, though if persuaded would easily try something new. Her trust has never been given away and she doesn't exactly like the thought of doing so.
Appearance:
Flowing raven locks trail behind her in the salty water and her body size up top is relevant to that of a 20 year old female. Her skin is a pale moonlight white that glistens beautifully in the sunlight while her eyes are the lightest shade of green. Her complexion is fair and flawless, a true jewel of the sea. As I mentioned though, she is quite menacing. Behind her delicately painted red lips lay a full row of needle shaped teeth. Her nails are a dark black and seemingly sharper on the end. Scales are located just above her right shoulder and of course are adorned all along her tail. The scales are an onyx color speckled with flecks of light blue.

Two large white shells cover her breasts and connect at the back. These shells aren't really any kind of protection against an attack but I suppose are classified as armor.
History: All her life Ariyanya was alone and really had never thought any different of it. Her cruel and distant nature made is easy for her to severe ties with what she never really had. Growing up she traversed the wide ocean taking things that interested her from the humans she observed along the way, making sure NEVER to allow a single one into her life. To this day she swims the salty sea watching and waiting on the banking waves for something, though nothing as of yet has found its way to her. Over the years Ariyanya grew into a young women and her feelings for the humans she had so carefully watched grew into something a bit more. Their limber legs walked circles in her fishy mind as she began to feed more and more.
Recently she has been trying something new, something not really true to her nature. Curiosity taking its toll, Ariyanya has been trying to lure live subjects to her, if only for a brief interaction.
