Ahnor Lycism's Guide to Beasts of the Lands

Greetings reader. I am Ahnor Lycism and I will show you all the beasts I have encountered over my lifetime. These beings are all the creatures I have ever encountered or heard about and it will include many facts about each. Many of these beings are quite real... and quite fearsome. Please use this guide wisely to make sure you know about a beast... before you meet it.

The Wyrm

This being... is incredibly deadly. They have many species but the most common are the actual worm like species, the six legged dragon shape species and the winged species that lacks front legs. As they live incredibly long lifespans it has never actually been confirmed to see if a wyrm has died of old age or not. These behemoths can occasionally grow to be larger that elder dragons and they weight much more. The only kind that this doesn't apply to is the winged species. Though they are unable to breathe fire they are still a force to be reckoned with. Fortunately... these beasts are quite intelligent and not known to attack without any reason. Though I have not met one close up I have seen many wyrms from a fair distance. I find this creature less deadly than it's size intends.

Glowing Cave Gnat

The glowing cave gnat is not very deadly... unless you walk right into it's nest that is. These creatures can get to be the size of a large dog and are usually harmless. I say usually because they will not attack you unless you walk into the sticky threads that surround their nest. These sticky threads are constantly replaced and can be avoid very easily. The problem is if you walk into them. If you walk into them your chances are survival are very thin. The threads are probably as durable as rocks and it acts as a spider web for the gnat. Once a prey is trapped in the net the thread is pulled up and the gnat feasts. They are said to grow into Camouflaged Nut Flies though this also has not been confirmed. Take caution when around them.
