The Grand Duchy of Salus Since its secession, Salus has become a trade hub for the region, with a very low tariff on all goods making it an ideal place for merchant resupply. The Veritoim have a now well-entrenched base here, and thanks to the continued agreement between the Reids and Grand Duke van Hal, the island of Aera Minor continues to be used as a prison island for the very worst criminals.

Anstruth Named after the martyr, Eibhear Anstruth, the elven country is a quiet, dangerous territory, allowing only traders through the country, and nothing more. While heavenly beautiful, the forest practically untouched by mankind, it holds violent grudges.

The Border Princes Just south of Nheufu is a small strip of land that has only ever had loose ties to Meliora. In the chaos of the Invasion Wars, even those loose ties were lost, and these regions have become havens for bandit princes and tribal warlords, who all prey on the merchant caravans between the Melior Peninsula and the rest of the outside world. It is a morass of constantly-shifting alliances, and one must always be on his guard in the mountains of the Border Princes.

The Berrenbeck Sea The sea is a vast body of saltwater, home to a variety of species both known and unknown to the people of Meliora. It is also home to many of the pirates who prey on the merchants and others who sail the Berrenbeck to the various countries which border it. Thankfully, all nations that border the Berrenbeck contribute pirate-hunters to stop the majority of the pirates, though some still persist.
