The Library of Meliora
This is where most of where Meliora has been sculpted, and has most of the information of who, what, where, why things are the way they are in Meliora. Here is a great way to learn about the world you are roleplaying in. Not required, but a very good way to get on our good side.

The Grand Duchy of Salus
Since its secession, Salus has become a trade hub for the region, with a very low tariff on all goods making it an ideal place for merchant resupply. The Veritoim have a now well-entrenched base here, and thanks to the continued agreement between the Reids and Grand Duke van Hal, the island of Aera Minor continues to be used as a prison island for the very worst criminals.

Full descriptions are here.

Anstruth
Named after the martyr, Eibhear Anstruth, the elven country is a quiet, dangerous territory, allowing only traders through the country, and nothing more. While heavenly beautiful, the forest practically untouched by mankind, it holds violent grudges.

The Border Princes
Just south of Nheufu is a small strip of land that has only ever had loose ties to Meliora. In the chaos of the Invasion Wars, even those loose ties were lost, and these regions have become havens for bandit princes and tribal warlords, who all prey on the merchant caravans between the Melior Peninsula and the rest of the outside world. It is a morass of constantly-shifting alliances, and one must always be on his guard in the mountains of the Border Princes.

The Berrenbeck Sea
The sea is a vast body of saltwater, home to a variety of species both known and unknown to the people of Meliora. It is also home to many of the pirates who prey on the merchants and others who sail the Berrenbeck to the various countries which border it. Thankfully, all nations that border the Berrenbeck contribute pirate-hunters to stop the majority of the pirates, though some still persist.

O'Shea
The city of O'Shea is the home to the talented Althanhaer, where they learn and master the control magic to better the world. Most of the city is built in a semi-gothic architecture style, beautifully decorated with art and sculptures from around Meliora.

Khora
A city laid out in a circle, Khora's creation started only a few short years ago. The process of construction is still underway. Buildings of ornate and beautiful design, dotted with elegant fountains and features, all seem to fit together to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The city itself intends to be divided into segments for living, working, and other various needs the citizens may have.

Talafen
Talafen is a massive city, occupying a large part of the ten-kilometer crater it was built in, and the City of the Earth is one of many distinct cultural elements, in terms of population, architecture, and to many most importantly, in terms of food.
The city as a whole has an air of life to it, largely due to the Crater Forest and the city's many gardens, very distinct from the near-desert scrubland surrounding the Crater Wall.
Talafenís buildings come in all manner of styles, and liberally use the granite, basalt, and marble that is so common throughout the crater.
The city population has swelled since the Invasion War, and so Valen is beginning to experiment with enlarging the crater to fit the new residents of Talafen.

Hyrai
Underneath the shadow of Meloria's biggest volcano, lays Hyrai, a thriving farming town set amongst the ruins of a large city wiped out by a volcanic eruption which occured around the time of Aikanaro's death. Now a new generation of people live there. And it's a proud people, being one of the few cities able to stand out against the Felori.

Uuranor
The city of Uuranor is situated where it can catch the most sun throughout the day. The streets are elaborate and wide, giving a feeling of openness that easily accomodates the busy crowds. The city is built of marble, and currently under the occupation of no deity, the city dimmed with the lack of a light god.

Charden
An ageless city sits amidst the swaying grasses and warm wind of the plains. Its beginning is untold and its end has yet to be, though ruins are slowly being reclaimed by the meadow around its edges. It's a wall of sorts, of near barren ground that was once the bustling outskirts. The city is shrinking.
Since coming to power, Amaranth, Goddess of Time, allowed her element to reclaim its path and it has done so with a vengeance. Now the city is without a god. Time must take its toll, but it has been gentle. Ghosts do still wander the ruins as though everything was the same.

Absidion
Enchanted and enslaved to the darkness, the silvery forest grows bigger yet, feasting under the constant moonlight. It is rumored that upon entering, the darkness in peoples hearts dominate the will and turn even the most optimistic traveler weary. It is split distinctly in two parts, and you're destined to find many creatures roaming the eternal darkness. Enter cautiously however, for one must ask themselves first, "What will I become in the dark?".

Valaista Vesi
This sophisticated city of sparkling stone, shining glass and oceanic details is one of the most amazing sights to behold in all of Meliora. Beneath the marvelous surface architecture is a home for water-dwelling creatures that shares the gorgeous construction seen above. Air-breathers and water-folk alike, all that pledge their loyalty to the element of water are welcome in this city protected by Aemilia Nadres.

Reed
Reed is the formal name for the Imperial City, but its use in common speech has drastically increased since the fragmentation of Meliora, with new 'Imperial Cities' all across the Melior Peninsula. King Godwin, Queen Charlotte, and their three children live here, under heavy guard.
Reed sustained only slight damage from raider parties during the Invasion War, but being only three miles from the border at its closest point, and with the Imperial Bridge in such close proximity, the city is now heavily fortified by an entire Legion of the military.

West Harkan
Formerly containing the major cities of Talafen, Liresul, and Y'Landara, all of Harkan east of the Ganak was conquered by the Folsted Imperium, and the better part of the Grey Mountains nabbed by the Border Princes. Known for its dry heat, except in the depths of winter and on the peaks of the Grey Mountains, it is nonetheless a useful part of Meliora for its spices, lumber, and coal mining industries.

Urath
Most of Urath remains under Melioran control, with only the northern forests, a large part of the coastal swamps, and a few elven villages coming under the control of Anstruth in the wake of the Secession War.
It retains its status as the breadbasket and heartland of Meliora, with Charden, Uuranor, and Absidion within its limits.

West Adan
While most of Adan seceded from Meliora in the height of the Invasion War, Western Adan remained a part of Meliora, thanks to the heroic efforts of its then-count, Indrick Mareth, who died in the Invasion War.
O'Shea and Valaista Vesi remain a part of Meliora due to his efforts, and many is the statue devoted to him in these cities.
Part of the Docklands expanded across the River Ganak in the boom years, and so Meliora is thankfully not without naval facilities, though these are under heavy guard at all times, and no longer the dens of iniquity they once were.

The Highway
The long and desolate road is the main link to all the major cities and places of Meliora, but it is a dangerous route. Should a person choose to venture such a way alone, they ought to keep their eyes wide open.

Stormwind
Stormwind has drastically expanded since the reign of King Phillip, growing from the castle to a bustling city with a three-tiered fortress at its heart, largely due to the efforts of fleeing refugees pressed to work. Here is the true heart of Adana, and General Kantor has made extensive use of his personal Legion, the Steel Legion, to maintain law and order, and it is only here that the votes that are cast are not out of fear for their lives, but genuinely cast for the beloved General.

Istien
Istien retains its role as a center for education across much of the Melior Peninsula, but largely only due to the efforts of the Knights of the Rose, who have sworn to protect the University District. Scholars come in from Meliora and the Folsted Imperium, with some even coming from Anstruth or Nheufu, if they can make the journey.
The city itself is controlled by General Burgess and the Republic Guard Legion, and is also a very safe place to be for the most part.
On the outskirts of the city, however, and occasionally when there is a large enough crowd, within the city, there is almost complete anarchy, broken up only by the Legion outposts.

Marrakesh
The former Market Town is now one of the three seats of Adani government, under the control of General Thule and the Snake Eyes Legion. Market Town still sees a great deal of commerce, but prices are steadily rising and supplies are steadily falling, as more and more of what is produced is being directed towards the front lines.

The Docklands
The Docklands, despite the fact that they are not under direct control of the Generals and their Legions, nonetheless are mostly under rule of law, and maintain very low crime rates, largely because Veritoim activities, no matter how illegal, are not considered crimes here.
The Bashaw of the Veritoim is effectively the viceroy of the entire area, and for the most part works for the betterment of the region, though the profit motive is still very high on his list of priorities.
The Knights of the Black Blade continue to maintain their base of operations here, but now work with the Veritoim's spies, instead of against the organisation.

The Lost Ruins
A place hidden and hard to find though many forest folk know its location. It is said to be the place Leviathon was brought to his knees by the combined might of many mages and a place that holds many priceless treasures.
A small community, largely consisting of historical scholars and priests, now dwell around this somewhat sacred place, though few dare to venture within this maze of ruins.

Eastern Adan
The territory east of the River Ganak was what the Lucius free state had earned during the Armistice. This included many rather prominent Melioran cities and places, such as the cities of Istien and Marrakesh, and the forests that surround these places.
The Lost Ruins are a place of pilgrimage for many scholars, and a small community has grown up there.

The Front Lines
Generally speaking, while there is as yet no peace agreement, by and large the front lines are immobile, men mostly watching one another watch the other, day in and day out, as both sides are now heavily entrenched, and more importantly, have some very heavy artillery.
However, every month or so, one side will launch a 'surprise attack' that is only surprising insofar as it breaks the monotony, leading to heavy casualties all round, and little, if any, progress.
It is doubtful if the lines have moved more than a mile either way since the Armistice between Meliora and the Folsted Imperium.

Rakis
Rakis is now under the complete control of the Folsted Imperium, and is now one of the most highly prized of their regions, thanks to the very valuable mines in the region. The sun-drenched desert of its center is home to nothing but the greedy prospectors that hunger for the metals it brings, but the coasts are now lined with newly-settled villages eager to farm new land, and with the greater portion of the new regional capital of Stenarr now built, Rakis is seeing a prosperity it had never known before.
Though Hyrai remains in Rakis, by the terms of the Armistice, all lands for ten miles around it remain Melioran, and it retains its connections with Meliora through the network of Teleportation Gates set up by Valen Tyz, Delilah Torashin, and the now-vanished Damien Blair five years ago.

East Harkan
East Harkan was captured by the Folsted Imperium early on in the Invasion War. Largely uninhabited, with only scant mining, farming, and woodworking industries, it has seen only light occupation, most of the Felori military presence being focused on the Raven Bridge and the Tower Bridge, the only permanent crossings of the vast River Ganak.
There are some reports of continued partisan activity in the area, but with the light military presence, these may as well be attributed to the area's bear population.

The Ruins of Y'landara
What was the ruined city of Fate is now even more ruined, with the Felori laying siege before realising the city was almost completely unoccupied. Part of the city is now being used as a military fortification, though it remains abandoned for the most part. Nonetheless, those who wander its ruined roads and dusty streets may find hints of a past dear to some few...

Liresul
Surrounded by silver spires, one peak reaches into the heavens. The eastern side of the mountain bathes in light. The western side drowns in the shadow of the mountain. Dotted in buildings and cut into levels, the mountain city Liresul looks more like a carefully designed fortress than a mountain.
Despite its careful design, however, the city fell to the Felori in the Invasion Wars. In the same terms that led to Hyrai maintaining its freedom, Liresul is now a Felori city, supplied by demilitarised convoys from the nearby portion of conquered Harkan, or occasionally through the Border Princes.
Most of the city is empty, thanks to the hastily-designed evacuation efforts of a few mages of air, and very little is known of the fates of those who dwell within, as entry is restricted to a very small few each year.
