Why 'canons'?The following characters are important (at least potentially) to Meliora. They are somewhat pre-made to allow characters to refer to them even though they may not be played by anyone at the moment. Basic information is here for the purpose of consistency, and it is as basic as possible to allow players to use their creativity when applying for one of these characters.
EXAMPLE: Most citizens would know a lot about the King and his family, so they should be able to express their knowledge in a thread even though some of the royal family is not currently being played. If someone eventually comes along that would like to play a member or friend of the royal family, they can base their character on this information. Therefore, we have a consistent roleplay while still allowing people to create interesting characters without a whole lot of restrictions.

If you wish to play a canon, you can register with the name of the canon and post your application.
You may reserve the canon you are interested in for a maximum of 7 days (without a complete application). After
7 days without a complete application posted, the account will be removed to make room for other interested players. If you have any questions about this, please contact me (Dun).
Any details that are not listed here are open to your creativity. The only thing that is asked is that you use the following information and try to create a realistic character that is strongly based, in general, on what is described.
EXAMPLE: King Phillip is described as a kind ruler who is not incredibly confident (he's been promoted recently ;) ), but has great potential. He apparently has some sort of feelings for Juliette Leers (probably a romantic interest which is returned). This should give someone applying as his character a decent idea of how he should be developed and played. If someone applied a King Phillip and described him as a horrible dictator that wants to make war with the surrounding countries with his brother, Henry. . . well, they would be denied.
