Summary: Gemini Alexandra Pucey, if ever there was a contradictory person, Gem was it. She was a Slytherin through and through but there were times when she showed some signs of humanity. It was almost as if there resided two persons in the body of one. She had two sides like a coin. The first side was expected, anticipated of a Slytherin. After all, being Slytherin meant that the person was ambitious and cunning without those attributes, one is unable to be in the house. So, yes, like many of the Purebloods, she was condescending and almost hateful to those, below her station. She always, almost by a rule, looks down on Muggleborn students, it had been instilled in her by her father. Some habits of hard to break, especially ones that are stemmed from childhood. Gem is what everyone calls a stubborn mule. Oh, she isn’t a mule but she might as well have been. She certainly shows enough stubbornness to compete with a mule. Once she has decided that she wants something, it’s highly unlikely that she’ll back off. You would tell her, advise her, rant at her but would she listen? Fat chance of that happening. The only people she listens to are her brother and parents. Not even close friends can do that. Well, they can do that, it’s just that she’ll go on her merry way.

The other side of her is astonishingly different. She is a complete romantic, oh, not the medieval definition of romantic. She isn’t saving herself for her one, true and oh-so-great love. No, while she believes that everyone has someone who could be called their soul mate, one has to find the soul mate. One had to be assertive about the search and that’s what she is. She is still finding that special person. Whether she finds him or not is another matter altogether. This second side to her also includes a friendly, more approachable nature. When she’ s in really nice mood, she is so friendly and warm that you’ll wonder if she was the same person you had met before. She would never think about people of lower station than hers because quite simply, it never enters her mind. But, when she’s good, she might bestow her peers who are Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or even Gryffindor a smile so warm that they almost blink with surprise.

Have you not guessed it yet? She has multiple personality disorder, it wasn’t uncommon in Wizarding World as it was, in the past, in the Muggle world. However, while the Wizarding World knew of it’s existence, it never did anything to solve it. And, the Puceys being the proud Purebloods weren’t going to resort to filthy Muggle solutions. And it was because of that, that Gem is still suffering from this disorder. Her family, friends, peers and professors have noticed this but are unable to think any solution to this little problem she has. And she obviously hadn’t yet been notified of her different behaviour. However, one thing is to be certainly noted. Her good side comes rarely and she is her normal horrid self most of the time.

History: Oh, yes! The history of Gemini Alexandra Pucey is not all that exciting. In fact, if you took a good look at it, you’ll find it to be a very, normal Slytherin student’s life. Her parents, bless them, decided to marry and wonders of wonders, they did get married. After that, they proceeded at the usual pace, having a baby in a year. However, Adrian Pucey had wanted a girl, heaven knows why, so he had been a little disappointed when he got a son instead. But before two years had even gone, he was blessed with a baby girl, he so very wanted. The girl was Gemini and she was a quiet baby and everyone adored her. She was the baby sister of her elder brother, Apollo. He should have been a little jealous, perhaps, it never seemed that way. He openly adored her and was a little protective of her. She was a much loved baby however there were signs even as she grew up to be eight that something wasn’t entirely right with her. Her mother, while very loving and caring, didn’t much care for the radical changes in her daughter’s attitude so did the others.

When she was nine, she became aware that she was a Pureblood and her father taught her how to behave around the other Pureblood families like hers, from then on she was on a roll. She was taught to degrade anyone who was on a lower financial level than hers. She, at the time, was a little perturbed by her father’s behaviour but soon, followed him to a T. She was soon praised for her efforts and while she got that, she wondered why her father was so hard on her brother, who according to her was the best brother in the whole, wide world. She soon picked up on the tension between her father and her brother but didn’t know what to do with it so she did what every child her age did. She ignored it, she just simply went on doing things she had always wanted to do. When she was ten, there was a argument between her mum and dad. Gem didn’t know much about the reason for it but she knew that it was about her brother and her. She had listened quite unashamedly. Their fight had been a font of information, indeed. It seemed her father had only wanted a girl and not a boy because he thought that raising a girl was easy. Gem had scoffed at it at the time but kept on listening. A girl was someone you could control, a boy on the other hand, was bound to have his opinions as well as his rules on how to live a life. Gem had been more than incensed at that time.

As she got accepted into Hogwarts, she had decided that she was going to be just what her father wouldn’t expect her to. She was going to be a rebel; this idea however didn’t see much action until her third year. And until then, her studies had taken her away from other activities. Oh, she was a good Quidditch player and some other things but had never acted on her plan to rebel. So, it was in her third year that she started changing herself from a studious, good girl to a naughty party girl. From then on, she just went on having wild life though there always were limits, set by her, which were never crossed. She wasn’t cut out to be slut and had never wanted to be. In her fifth year, she experienced what exactly humiliation meant. Her boyfriend, of that time, publicly insulted her and broken up. At that time, she had decided that she would never that much close to anyone that if they insulted her, then she wouldn’t be hurt. It is a promise she has kept to herself till the present day.

Her sixth year so far, hasn’t been all that good. Oh, her studying is steady and so is Quidditch but her partying days have somewhat lessened. Whatever her plans of rebellion, she had never ignored her studies and it seemed that now, she had to get really, really serious about the studies. Her father had warned her that if she didn’t get satisfactory results in NEWTs next year, she would be in trouble. Her rebellion was irritating to Adrian but he tolerated it, however, what he wasn’t about to tolerate was bad grades. So, Gem was studying all right. Her relationship with her brother is as it always had been, close and warm. She hopes that her brother would open up to her more because Apollo, unknown to him, knows almost everything there is to know about Gem. Gem hadn’t bothered to make him aware of that little fact yet, nor is she about to do such a silly thing. It never did do to let the male half of population know what you are thinking.
