The Harry Potter series is a creation of J.K. Rowling. Most characters belong to the books and belong to her; we thank her for giving us the ideas of using them for a RPG. MPC has no contact with her even though we wish we could! The skin was created by Tariq of IF Skin Zone (see links at bottom of page for source). Other images created by me, Erin, with help from Tariq and Nicole from KHRPF. Plot and sub-plots created by Erin. If anything gets taken, you will have severely upset me and you should plan on running far, far away. Thank you for everybody’s help that has made this site what it is, especially the members, young and old.

SUB-PLOT FIVE

Characters Needed
Jacob Carrow
Rufus Carrow
Maggie Moon
Ruby Macmillan

Jacob Carrow was the eldest of the two Carrow boys by two years. Some days he felt like the mistake child, just the practice puppet before his brother came along. It wasn’t that he felt out of place or messed up so much, but he had been one of a rare many that had been suspended from Hogwarts for rest of the year resulting in him coming back in the same year as Rufus. It was embarrassing to be the older one and in the same house like somehow Rufus was smarter than he even though that was not the case since their IQ status was about the same. That’s what he got for dicking around too much in school.

What had caused this expulsion? It had been being caught in the forest with crates full of stolen fireworks. Did this make him a bad ass? Fully. It also helped that he talked back with all the teachers and was always caught out wandering the halls pass midnight.

Rufus Carrow wasn’t beyond extraordinary, but wasn’t below average. There was something about him that put a sparkle in everybody else’s eyes and a smile on their face. Almost the opposite for Jacob; students crossing the hall ignoring him like he had three eyes and it might jump out of his skull to eat them. People liked Rufus and were confused by Jacob. Rufus always tried to hang out with his older brother when he would let him, not always sure if it were pity that his younger brother brought with him or what. They were close brothers, but they weren’t the tightest. The younger Carrow only wanted to please and make happy his old brother. Life seemed unbearable when they were younger because Jake would always taunt and tease him when pissed off. There were days staying out of his way proved to be a good thing.

What about Miss Maggie Moon? The Slytherin Ice Queen that always enjoyed just a bit of danger? Where did she fit into all of this? Maggie Moon thrived on appearance and what those thought of her; younger girls should want to be her, girls in her year should be intimidated by her, boys should want to be with her, and men should fall at her feet. That was why her snaking eyes had that special intrigue for Jacob Carrow. He was good looking with a wild side to boot. Everybody would be envious of her with him on her arm. They would whisper their names like a secret poison. And that was just what she got; a date with Jake who had greatly agreed to meet her down in the Duck’s Beak. Two months have gone by and their relationship is spectacular, but it didn’t mean it was strong did it?

Not too long after Maggie and Jacob started their courtship, Rufus and Ruby Macmillan started dating. Ruby was a good girl with a great personality, a beautiful face, and wasn’t a slut like some of those other girls around the school. It was a mutual crush sort of thing; listening to the other’s friends conversations wondering if they were discussing anything about the other. Finally, they were the last two people in the library one night and as they walked out, he held the door open for her and walked her back to the towers, conversation not too frequent. The next day, she cornered him and explained to him that she felt that if she had said anything, her true feelings might show through. After spilling his own beans, his sparkling eyes and her beautiful smile were considered a couple. They’ve been dating for about as long as Jake and Maggie.

However, under the surface that is Maggie Moon is a vulnerable girl that only plays a bitch to make sure things turn out for her betterment. It didn’t mean she couldn’t feel alone or want to drown herself in a nice, hot bubble bath.

One night when Jacob hadn’t shown up to meet her on the steps of the fourth floor, Rufus ran into her. Not literally. Ruby had gone home for a weekend to St. Mungo’s because her Grandmother had been sick and she had always had a good bond with her Grandmother and it left him alone. Conversation between her boyfriend’s brother and his brother’s girl had been nonexistent. They were rivals; she a snake, he a badger, and she never seemed that nice to him, but tonight, she looked so alone, so sad. Sitting down on the steps, he started talking. He talked about anything and everything. Surprisingly, she let him, not telling him to bugger off, enjoying the way he talked and the random things he’d talk about. When he stopped and watched her, she divulged her secrets of loneliness and vulnerability. He zipped his lips and wouldn’t pass it along to her boyfriend, his brother.

Hours of talk had occurred that night. Before either of them had seen their boyfriend or girlfriend, they had walked to Hogsmeade for a drink and more talking. It was a change of pace for both of them and Ruby and Jake came back around and they stopped talking for a lengthy amount of time.

In the weeks to come, Ruby saw the change in Rufus, the way he wanted to go out and do things, go to a party or two, and Jacob saw that Maggie wasn’t as cold as she had been before. Whenever he tried to figure out what was going on with her, she’d only push him away.

Ruby didn’t want to see Rufus that night, not that he frankly cared, and he’d been showing minimal interest. Jacob had asked Maggie to come to a party with him, but she had surprisingly declined; anything anymore with her had wanted to stay in yet she’d barely speak to him. Maggie sat in the all-common room lounge; Rufus happened in there. The awkward silence was there, but it soon passed when they stroke up conversation and flow came back into their lives. Maggie had then invited and taken him to a party at the Shrieking Shack where the Slytherins had gone...where both Ruby and Jacob were.

Jake saw this and wasn’t too impressed. He sucker punched his brother straight across the face. Rufus tackled him down, punching his nose. They were fighting, but what were they fighting for? Maggie? Or something more?

If Jake still wanted Maggie, would she choose him over Rufus? Or did Rufus make her happy enough to make her not care about the Slytherin façade? What about Ruby? Was Rufus just going to give up on her? Or did Ruby not care because she secretly had a thing for Jake all on the basis of that they both knew what it was like to be held back a year?

Who would cry? Who would be happy? Who would be left alone? Would brothers never speak? Would relationships end and beginning or just end? The blood on the ground couldn’t predict that future.
