The OOC Rules;
    R-e-s-p-e-c-t. Everyone on this site is basically equal. We’re all here to roleplay, so don’t ruin someone else’s experience by going and being stupid.

    Any IC fights stay IC. We want this to be a fun site for all. I’m sure we get enough fighting in our regular lives, and we don’t need to fight online.

    Obey the mighty Admins. No one’s word is to be taken above the Admins. What they say goes, so listen up. If you do not listen to the Administrators, expect to be banned

    Spam = bad Not only is the /meat/ gross, but the annoying one-lined posts with no significance whatsoever is also bothersome. So don’t stink up our boards with it.

    Double posts? No problem. This goes for both the OOC boards and the IC boards. If you accidentally post a post twice, or if you post your post under the wrong account, simply PM an Admin, and the problem will be taken care of for you. Simple, eh?

    Use your good judgement. Don’t post a huge train of swear words. Yes, we’re mature, but a post where every other word is a swear word isn’t acceptable. Don’t post explicit photos. We don’t need to see that.
The IC Rules;

    BE LITERATE! This means a minimum of two paragraphs (with a minimum of five sentences each) per post. So that’s ten sentences per post, at least! Not too tricky, eh? This also means no IC chatspeak, unless it’s being used to prove a point, like your character is saying “L-O-L!” in a sarcastic manner. Don’t use excessive punctuation!!!!!!!! Okay???? Try, also, to use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Don’t know how to spell a word? Dictionary.com works great.

    The site is rated ‘PG-13/R’. Although we’re a mature site, anything that might offend some people, like sex, must have a warning posted in the sub-title or have an Admin change the title for you to include a warning. You do not need a warning if the board contains mild sexual references, only if it is something like full-on action.

    Register with your character’s full name. This means first, middle, and last name, very much like I’ve done, Henrietta Anne Selwick. If you post as something like love2laugh you will be deleted. Register under a new name for every character of yours. Also, when you post an application, try to post the whole thing. If you need to out of fear of losing your character, you don't have to but I would prefer if you did.

    Don’t do any of the stupid things that everyone knows you’re not supposed to do. This means no Mary/Gary Sues, no powerplaying, godmoding, etc. If you’re literate, you should know this stuff, darlings. Basically, make your character like a normal human being. Although the students of Ascension are gifted, no one is perfect. And, for that matter, no one can control other people, either!

    Fighting is okay, if it’s done right. If your character is going to get into a fight with someone else, be it a verbal one, or a physical one, there are a few things to keep in mind. The first is do not powerplay. It’s been said before, but these are situations when people tend to control other peoples’ characters. It’s not good. It’s not fun. And, most of all, it’s not fair! By posting something like “Nory decked Cressida and totally knocked her out cold,” you’re not letting the other person defend themself. Also, you’re not fighting to kill. We don’t want our students to go shooting each other, now do we? Keep any fighting at all strictly IN CHARACTER. Don’t carry your feud over into the OOC talk. I realize I’m repeating myself, but these are important parts that need to be stressed.

    Activeness is important. No one wants to start a roleplay with someone and never finish it because the other person left the site. So, you need to post at least once every two weeks. Going on vacation? Have a grueling load of work that will you keep you from roleplaying? No problem, simply PM one of your lovely slave drivers Admins, and, voila, your account is now protected. If you neglect to tell us that you’re going away, however, and don’t post within two weeks, your account will be suspended.

    Have fun! This site was created for a fun experience. Which means something enjoyable, for those of you who aren’t entirely sure as to what fun is. (*hums the FUN song* F is for friends who do stuff together...) Don’t ruin anyone else’s experience, and others will give you the same courtesy.
