The doors swung open, heavy boots were heard as a figure walked across the white marble halls of Zeon. The statue of Zeon was behind a throne where the King or Queen of Martoq would stand, but since the first Age there has been no ruler of Martoq and that throne is there for memories. The figure stopped, in the middle of the hall was a deep pool of crystal clear water, lillies floated on the surface and the scent was fresh and beautiful. The Round table was located outside this city and then the doors opened again. The figure turned, the midnight blue cloak it wore swung around it's feet and a sword was shown as it pointed at the door.

"Calm down Vaná. I know your business."
"Cousin!" Vaná roared, she took down her midnight blue hood revealing long brown hair, blue eyes which were watering, her pale skin stained with tears and pale lips shivering from the sight of her memory. Guatanya noticed Vaná about to fall, Guatanya ran with all her speed and managed to catch her cousin wailing. "Why did they all have to die?"
"All? Who?" Guatanya questioned her cousin, Guatanya pushed her hair behind her pointed ears and put a hand on Vaná's forehead. Guatanya closed her eyes, she felt Vaná's anger, despair and Guatanya too cried, she saw images of bodies, blood and - the connection was lost. Vaná pushed Guatanya away and turned to the statue of Zeon. Vaná fell onto her knees, blood splattered onto the clean floor and Vaná let her angry and despairing tears fall.
"Vaná..."
"The whole city was burnt, by who? I don't know! All I know all ten thousand of those people are dead because of somebody! I was thinking of the Demons but then I noticed that the wounds were too deep for their weapons, Dwarves? No. The wounds were too high up as if they were humans, Deathians? The stragedy and how the wounds were made were wrong. I WANT JUSTICE! Guatanya. As I am your Princess of the Elven Race, I demand a council."

"But Vaná-"
"No Cousin! I want a cousin, now! The people that killed all those men, women and children must suffer! The city of Mardnór (A city for all races and trade, near the boundaries of the Humans and the Demons and Elves) will be avenged!" Vaná yelled, Guatanya ran to her cousin and embraced Vaná.
After half an hour of Vaná crying and Guatanya comforting, Guatanya had decided that this crime was too much! Guatanya stood up, Vaná looked at her cousin who easilly walked on the water's surface to the throne. Guatanya leapt up onto the statue of Zeon, a secret passage? Vaná followed with care, Guatanya was now by the horn at the round table.

"I'll summon the council but also all of our allies!" Guatanya took a deep breath, the horn was sounded. Vaná knew what to do, she made the spell for the wind, soon the horn's beautiful but known sound shook all over Martoq.

Appearing in a flash were four figures at the Round Table, light coming rays to chase away the shadows on their faces. The golden haired elf,Lunaria, the brown haired elf,Artimis, the silver haired elf ,Electra and last but not least the pink haired elf Rhiannah.

Lunaria wore a wrap around shirt with bursts of gold on it, and another short skirt with silver edges. Her Sabers once again hung on her hips, their polished white and gold hilts gleaming. The Tiger's Eye still on her arm on the metal band. Lunaria glanced down
" Isn't this kinda, you know, high?"

Artimis wore a long sleeved light blue shirt with the sleeves attached by strings at the shoulders, and a pair of white pants flared at the sides with splashes of blue. The half and half moon-stone rings on her both of her third fingers, as before. She looked at Lunaria and laughed "Not really"

Electra wore a black leather top with dark blue clasps on the sides, and dark blue pants that had niches cut in the bottoms. Her katana side-ways across her back once again. Her ice blue eyes flickering back and forth before resting on the table, she studied it in silence. The BloodStone still on the center of the silver circlet around her forehead.

Rhiananh looked behind her and spotted another elf, but this time with red hair, Araina, she smiled and motioned for her to hurry up. Rhiannah wore a green dress that went to just above her knees, her hair up in a twist top, out of her face. The white Opal with pink veins on a green bracelet around her right wrist. She nodded to Artimis then smiled at Lunaria.

Araina appeared behind them and grinned "Heya, long time no see much?" Her deep green eyes casting away the mists and becoming lit with joy. Rhiannah held back a giggle and hugged Araina, as did Artimis and Lunaria. Electra merely nodded to Araina who in return smiled. Araina wore a red shirt with gold patterns on the sleeves, and light green pants with crisscrossing seams on the sides. Her sword at her right hip on the golden belt around her waist, the ruby on it's hilt flashing for a moment with the image of a dragon before returning to it's normal state.

Storm came out from behind Araina and launched himself at Lunaria who had just stopped hugging Araina, Lunaria landed on her butt and giggling as Storm licked her face, getting him to stop licking her she cuddled him "Your so cute, Storm!" Eyangor came from the sky and landed on Electra's shoulder, Electra glanced at him and pet him with two fingers.

A dark figure came towards them. They had their hood up so you could not tell who they were. Each step sounded like a heart beat. The figure drew back the hood as she approached. It was Kalylia. But she did not have her hair down. It was up in a small bun. Kalylia must have been in an extremly good mood to allow that to happen. Her eyes, however, were still black as the night time sky. A gust of wind blew her cloak back. Kalylia's sleek sword was revealed.
"Am I late?" She asked.

More comotion came when a fairy thundered to the ground. His feet hit the ground with force. He straightened himself up. It was Sylik, Kalylia's adopted brother. He, unlike her, looked normal. He was wearing the same purple cloak, and the same clothing. He couldn't have put up his hair even if he wanted to; it was so short.
"I doubt you're late. There's not many people here yet. By the way, I like what you did with your hair. It looks nice." Sylik said.

"Uhh. Thank you. Empress! What is it? You look very sad. What has happened?" Kalylia acctually did sound like she cared.

"You're welcome." Sylik said. "Yes, what is it?"

Kalylia looked at Sylik. But she quickly looked away, as a tiny bit of color came to her cheeks.

. Añyankei had been relaxing in a nearby meadow, attempting to weave a sandal back together, when the horn sounded. Dropping the sandal she spread her dark wings and plucked a feather. She held it up to her face, it gleamed blackly in the sunlight. Añya whispered into it, facing south as she did so,
. "Come, come, come, we cannot ignore these summons. This will involve us all, come."

. Espoir woke with a start, having been napping in a fir tree down south. She heard the horn as well as Añya's message and, without a moment's hesitation, spread her pheonix wings and shot towards the source of the horn. Espoir's instincts told her something was very wrong.

. Verlis dropped his book as the horn sounded. He felt a tug from the north; Añya was calling. His eyes narrowed into silver slits, the dark becoming much more obvious. He dropped all pretense of being a drunken fool, bright pink outfit darkening to a bloody red. Using his demonic strength, Verlis shot towards the north, and the source of the call.

. Añya had only a moment to wait before they arrived before her. After a moment of unspoken communication, all three flashed towards the north, a blur of firey wings, black feathers, and Verlis's silver demon flesh. Within a minute they came to a halt in front of the doors to the Round Table, falling back into a horizantal line. Verlis was in the middle, Espoir on his right and Añya on his left. Espoir was concerned for her sensei, but didn't want to violate any unknown custons; she kept her distance.

Galina burst into the doors, tattered cloak stained with blood. Gali took one look around and zeroed in on Guatanya. She stormed over to her, knife clenched in hand. Galina looked up through feirce tears and asked in an enraged tone,
" Why did you let this happen?!?!?"
She sunk her knife into a nearby wooden stool before returning to glaring up (again, she's short) at Guatanya.

Occultus Nex and Silens Fatüm glided in after their cousin, flanking a suspisicously calm Reilleux le Aimé. Silens placed an icy hand on her cousin's shoulder,
" She did see this coming, or she would have stopped it. Do you really have so little faith in our Empress?"
"I aggree with sister, you should take more time when you think about such things."
The twins were tranquil, quite the opposite of their firery relative. ITher, on the other hand, seemed to be the medium; a mix of both.
"Silence cousins! We are here to help, not to encumber, so just shut up and listen."
It was clear who was the leader of them, anyone who wasn't blind or mentally handicapped could see it. It was in how he walked, talked, and his air. Ither was definately the Alpha Male.
Not that that was important in the least, right now. Right now the most important thing was participating in this meeting, without killing any more stools.

Richter was in fact out in the wastelands of the underground, an ancient battlefield really. The corpses long since turned skeletal and still littered the ground as did their weapons and armour.
He was looking at a book clutched in the hands of a skeleton, the eye sockets were filled with a green glow and one could tell it was a necromancer by the dark robes it wore.
Richter walked toward the skeleton and tried to grab the book from it's clutches, the skeleton moved and in an instant was standing up with a staff in hand. Then a voice whispered, "You seek the dark words of the necromancer Zanshin, Why do you seek them?"
RIchter smiled and said, "I seek them to cover all of Martoq in darkness, something you failed at"
Zanshins skeleton didn't move, "What is your name Death Knight and then the question remains, are you worthy?"
"My name is RIchter Kruegar and I am worthy of this dark book, if you do not think so, I shall show you by destroying you"
Zanshins skeleton was silent for a long time before it whispered, "You must take it by force"
RIchter in an instant had decapiated the skeleton and started the spell to banish the soul, then the horn sounded.
He didn't finish the spell so Zanshin was still there but he did grab the book, Zanshin's skeleton would follow him wherever he went now, to kill him and take the book.

Richter walked from the battlefield as Zanshin's skeleton returned to form, he then opened the pages, whispered a few words and he was gone. He appeared in the shadows of the Great Hall. He went up to the doors and burst them open with a blast of magic. The doors close again quite quickly so he entered swiftly. Then he walked down the hall of heroes, looking up at the sides to see the great kings and queens of Martoq. His statue will be up there soon enough. He walked straight past Guatanya and Vana and toward the thrones, he walked up to the centre one and looked it over, "You will be mine" He said to himself. The dark book clenched in his hand, it was covered in human skin and the dark secrets held within, can corrupt even the most righteous soul.

Guatanya looked at Galina and bowed her head in sorrow, "I should of foreseen this but somebody or something was blocking out my powers. I will not let this happen again." Vaná stood up and pointed at Galina furiously.
"Don't you dare blame the Sumres! She has saved more lives than any of us can count! Somebody was mucking around, now you blame Guatanya? Don't you even dare blame her when you are in my presense." Vaná shouted, she turned to Espoir and ran to her, Espoir's company was greately appreciated, Vaná wrapped her arms around Espoir and hugged her.
Guatanya turned, she saw Richter and she gazed up at him with a sharp eye. You didn't do this. Did you? She asked him in his mind, the connection was broken when one of her servants came running in.
"Your Majesty! Empress Guatanya!" The servant carried the two children of Guatanya, and Guatanya swooped up her daughter and son.
"They wouldn't stop crying!" The children instantly stopped crying when Guatanya ran a hand along their foreheads.
"Shh child. Mama has got you now." Guatanya turned to the gathering group, she turned to Richter and she indicated him to come. She turned back to the others. "We must act now."
"Indeed." Arielle, the wisest of beings appeared beside Guatanya and Guatanya nodded to her godmother. "Some magic blocked out your foreseeing power Guatanya, and I am very sad to say I couldn't spare any Uriks to help the city."
"You knew this was going to happen and you didn't help?!" Vaná said from Espoir's side.
"I sent a message."
"No message was sent to us!" Vaná shouted, Arielle sighed.
"I can only do what the Stars want me too." Vaná was fuming but caught a look from Guatanya, she stood silent.

Richter turned and spoke out loud, "No I didn't do this Guatanya, but I allowed it to happen" He said with an evil grin. He walked down to Guatanya's side and then looked at Arielle, "Indeed a message was sent, but you did not send it to the right people, I heard your message and sent one out to the city, all Deathians, demons, dwarves were told to leave the city, one must take care of it's allies, if the other races were smart they woould follow my lead, they had alliances with the Deathians, look what became of them." He said with a harsh glare.
Then he walked to the table and sat down, opened his book and began to silently read as the dark energies flowed forth from it's pages.

Arielle would of raisen eyebrow if she had any but her face was covered apart from her large eyes, her tall being twisted and looked at Guatanya. Guatanya turned to Richter, grabbed his arm and looked at him. You better tell me what happened.
Arden and Joyabeth saw their father, they managed to smile. Guatanya sighed and Vaná was looking at Richter, her eye twitching.
"So you did this?" Vaná asked, Guatanya turned to Vaná and looked back at Richter.
"You didn't but you knew it was going too? You didn't even both to save those people? There was a hundred deathians, a few hundred demons and a few dwarves in there! You didn't even bother?" Guatanya shouted, she sighed and turned to the rest. "Whoever is responsible must pay the price."
"Execution?"
"No Vaná, that rule has plagued our lands too long." Arielle said in her wise and echoic voice.

At the edge of the ruined city of Mardnor stood Rhian. She looked upon the destruction without saying a thing. Words were lost to her; it seemed at this moment that everything was lost to her. This couldn't have happened. This couldn't be the city she knew. She was appalled by what she saw, but she could not turn away.
She cocked her head up towards the sky as she heard the summoning call of the horn. The Empress knew. She turned away from the wreakage of buildings and bodies and hurried to answer the call.

A short while later she was entering the hall. Her normal cheerfull spirits a mere memory. Her gaze seemed lost as she neared the table and spotted those she knew and those she did not. She walked towards the Empress untill she was a yard or so away and managed to speak at last. "I saw," was the whisper that escaped her.

Guatanya turned to Rhian, her eyes narrowed and she felt sorrow. Guatanya put a hand on Rhian's shoulder and tried to smile, "We will avenge the death of those innocent people. You must stand as leader of Humans in this council for the leader has not been elected yet and you are a Lady of the court. Rhian, please. Did you see any clues?"
Guatanya was furious with Richter, she battled so many emotions inside she was so close to screaming. She has failed as a Sumres. Vaná felt it in Guatanya and spoke to her cousin.
It wasn't your fault.
Don't blame yourself.
Orathan appeared by Guatanya, his handsome face shadowed by grief for two of his good friends were lost to the destruction. Orathan saw Rhian and he managed a encorouging smile, Orathan probably knew that what he felt for Rhian was just a 'fancy' but he felt protective over her, but then again Orathan had a feeling he had no right to love her.
Arielle nodded to Prince Orathan and he smiled at the Urik Queen.
"Arielle, is there a way to ask the gods for help?"
"Only the stars will tell me."
"Damnit! We cannot wait until night!" Vaná shouted, Guatanya turned to her cousin and sighed.
"There is no use shouting, cousin." Orathan turned to Vaná who was trembling, she too had lost someone special in the city.
Again the doors opened, the seductive she-deathian entered with a grin on her purple lips, her long lashes fluttering, her silver braided hair that reached her ankles swayed side to side and she moved towards Richter, before turning to Guatanya.
"I'm not here for those 'poor innocent souls'. I am here for My Richter." Guatanya's eyebrow twithed with hatred and the two held their stare, the rivalry but Guatanya let it pass. "I don't care if you have his children," Valentine hissed, she spat at the children in Guatanya's arm and Orathan caught Valentine's arm.
"Spit at my family again and I'll crush you!" Orathan warned, Valetnine giggled.
"I am of the council, at the Round Table you can't kill your enemy."
"I won't kill you, just torture."
"Leave it Orathan." Guatanya snapped at her brother, he let Valentine go who just skipped to Richter's side and put her hand on his arm, sticking her tongue out at Guatanya. Guatanya turned back to Rhian.
"Rhian... there will be time to grieve but at the moment we must act. Please...?" Guatanya pleaded.

"Yes. I understand," Rhian managed a smile. "I'm sorry, I must be stronger." She looked away for a moment, but returned her gaze back to Guatanya. She began to speak now with more of a sureness became less hesitant.
"As for any sort of sign, I've no idea. Everything was . . . burned. As for those dead, I didn't examine them very much at all. I should have gotten a closer look, but I couldn't bring myself to. I'm sorry, again. But I can say this, the destruction I saw was unlike anything I've ever seen before. It seems impossible anyone could do such a thing. The way the city and it's people were killed, I've never seen any race do anything similar. It's quite troubling. And they would have left tracks of some sort, but there's no sign of a large group passing to or from the city. It's as if the city just collapsed upon itself. But wounds on the people, it had to be caused by someone or something. I can't really give any more information than that."
A sudden exhaustion overcame her, and she glanced hopefully at the large table. "I hope you don't mind if I take a seat, Empress Guatanya. I'm a bit weary from travel."

Iztak and Isilvia materialized, as if by magic, from the shadows. Khai was not with them, and Isilvia seemed to be in mourning. They swept forward as one and took their seats, not speaking, not making eye contact with anyone but the Empress and those of the royal line.

Filanna sat on the edge of the group, on the floor, looking up. There was a raindrop made of some kind of gem on her forehead, suspended by a bit of string.
"I don't think you'll need to wait until night. The stars are out all the time. I don't really know what has happened, but I'm sure it can be fixed. If it's as horrible as you say, the gods would be criminals not to help."
Sumtae was next to her, looking traumatized.
" Then they're criminals. For letting it happen in the first place. I saw only a glimpse, and that was in a dream, but it is worse than they say."
" Wonderful. What do you all think of your gods now?"
Filanna's eyes burned.
