Organizing a children’s party can be stressful, especially the
entertainment which is often the center piece of the event. Check out
these tips aimed at ensuring hiring a childrens entertainer is a smooth
and trouble-free process.
What does the fee quoted cover?
Does it include VAT and traveling expenses? If extra children turn up at
the party, will there be an additional cost? Are all the materials, such
as presents and balloons, etc. included? Unexpected costs can bring a
party to an uncomfortable climax!
Are any extra’s included? And, do you want them?
Many performers include give-ways and presents as part of their show, or
offer them as optional extras. Examples include Balloon models, photo’s,
and party bags with toys and gifts. Check if there is any additional
costs involved and make sure they are suitable for all the children at
the party.
Is the entertainer covered by insurance?
You should definitely ensure that the entertainer you hire has Public
Liability Insurance, and don’t be afraid to ask for evidence. If you are
hiring a venue, you should also check insurance requirements with them.
Many hotels and party venues now insist that entertainers have Public
Liability Insurance.
