The Rock Coast [Unclaimed]
The eastern coast of Maiara is very rocky land. Gray, sharp rocks and hard flats cover much of the area within sight of the sea. Few plants grow here--not because the climate is unfavorable, but because even where the soil is visible, it is very poor. The hard coast is, in some places, sandy, but for the most part is a slow rocky descent into the deep blue of the ocean. There are caves in the area. Despite the terrain, it's actually not a bad place to live.

Mizzelan Forest [Claimed]
Although the forest is inland from the coast, it has a very similar climate and the soil is just as poor. Yet, some kinds of trees and shrubs manage roots deep enough through the tough soil to get to the rich springs deep underground. Some such trees that have died left surprisingly large caverns after they were torn up in storms. A large ruin also sits near the center of this region. The dark, forbidding structure hasn't been explored for a long time, and no one remembers what is deep inside...

The Channel of Trials [X]
Off the eastern coast of Maiara sits Evostone Isle. But how are you supposed to get somewhere you can't even see most of the time? You must first spend your time in the Channel of Trials. Quite a few small islands dot the vast channel. It is very hard to live here, unless you're a fish. Many Pokémon never come back, washed away by strong currents or terrifying storms. The passage is necessary, though, if you ever want to see Evostone Isle.

If you have spent your time in the Channel of Trials and survived, you may wash up on the shore of Evostone Isle. The island is very round, with its highest point in the center. You swam all that way and when through all that hardship for a rocky waste?! But wait! There's a cave ahead. What's that glow?

The Hot Springs [X]
The northern part of the eastern region is cold. But the hot springs make that much easier to bear! This part of the region is famous for its hot springs, said to be able to help healing. Many young mates also like this place, as it has a very romantic air to it. Why not visit?

Sutira Caves [X]
Deep underground lies a series of tunnels and caverns. No one knows for sure what is down here, as few can find the entrance in the forest. It is supposedly haunted, but full of treasure, and therefore many would like to explore the area. There is supposedly little food until the deeper parts of the cave, so any expedition should be made in haste.
