The Steamy Jungle [X]
A very warm jungle separates the Central Region from Maiara's southern coast. Some frequently-used paths cross this area, but to find anything worthwhile in the jungle requires travelling through the dense underbrush and tall trees. A few smaller streams pass through here, as does the river that drains central Maiara. It is hot here almost always, though it does cool down in winter, but is, unlike the desert, very moist, with a thick steam gathering in the summer.

Canopy Village [Unclaimed]
In the jungle lays a most unusual construction, a village situated high up in the trees surrounding it. Platforms are attached to the trees so closely that they almost seem to have grown out from them. Some enchantment seems to work about the air, as nothing appears able to bring down these constructions--the platforms, the trees, or the bridges connecting them. The biggest challenge in starting a pack here is climbing, and securing a way of passing up and down the trees.

The Sparkling Beach [X]
A place of rest and relaxation for many, the tropical southern beach is one of the warmer places in Maiara. Though it is warm year-round, it rarely surpasses the desert in heat, and is a very popular place to take a break from a busy, stressful life. Fishing is good here, and the jungle provides an excellent backdrop.

Grand Waterfall [Unclaimed]
Along the beach is a vast waterfall, where clean water pours down into a small lake, which in turn empties into the ocean. Behind the waterfall is a cave system that can be entered from the sides. It would make a good home, but would also require defense from those who might envy such a beautiful home.

Freezing Falls [X]
A little farther to the west of the Grand Waterfall is a another waterfall. Though similar in appearance, it is smaller, and, characteristic seemingly only of this one, the water is freezing cold, but delicious to drink. Behind it is a cave where there is a statue that supposedly, if charged with Exteria, can grant one something that they want.

Reluctance Cove [Unclaimed]
Near the east end of the long beach is a rather rocky cove. It gets its name from how slowly the water empties out from a wave, as if the water was reluctant to leave. The cove itself has a small network of caves going into it, and the highest point overlooks the dunes of the area.
