Parselmouth

Parseltongue is the language of snakes; to a human who cannot speak it, it sounds like hissing without taking a breath. It is possible for someone to speak the language without even knowing that they can. This is extremely rare however and is found only in Pureblood families. It is possible for a Halfblood to have this talent but it is even more rare. Muggleborns will never have this ability, so they need not apply.

This will need extensive background history, explaining where it started in the family and if it was passed down to them, if they know about their talent, if they use it at home, etc. Please give as much information as possible.

Seer

This is true Divination, although what the Seer reveals is usually in the form of a Prophecy which then itself requires some interpretation. A Seer, one who possesses the Inner Eye, doesn't seem to have control over their Seeing. True Seeing is very rare, but it has happened plenty of times over the centuries. There is a huge cathedral-sized room of the Department of Mysteries where records of thousands of Prophecies are stored in glass spheres. Each sphere is labeled with the initials of the Seer who spoke the Prophecy and the person it was spoken to and with the subject of the Prophecy.

However, when one is playing a Seer on the site, they are not allowed to just make crazy predictions about others. They must first get permission from the driver of the characters whom are involved in the prediction before doing so. Also, you must send a PM to one of the admins when your character does make a prediction describing what is being said, whom it is about, and telling us if you got their permission. If you fail to do this, you will be warned once and the second time you do it, your title will be stripped. Its harsh but it is goddmoding which is strictly forbidden on this site.

Seers are incredibly rare and there will not be many on this site. Fair warning. We will only give this to individuals who are reliable and dependent and prove that their character deserves this title. This will more than likely not be given to students but theres a possibility if you have a really good application.

Metamorphmagus

Metamorphmagi are born with the ability to change their appearance at will. In other words, in cannot be learned. If you plan on making your character a Metamorphmagi then you must make your character sort of mysterious or else it will not be realistic. This is only given after the admins know they can trust you with something like this and know that you will use it responsibly. They are able to change their appearance, any aspect of it, just by concentrating on it. You must explain how your character grew up with this skill and how it was used in their early life and their life up until the present. This will be given to students as it is innate but it is also extremely rare, once again, a good application is needed.
