She grinned, she liked Quidditch but she didn't play herself. She liked to watch it though, she got an adrenaline rush just from watching the sport. It was her chance to show her house pride. She didn't know about watching a match that would take six hours though! She chuckled, "Six hours? I'd be exhausted! I would've have surely quit after three. I don't really play though, I've always just preferred watching. Especially the Gryffindor team, with James Potter we're the best there is," she replied happily as she pulled her hair up into a ponytail. It honestly just always got in the way and she was rather sick of it. She really did like the idea of shaving it all off, even if it was only for a short while. She smiled at him, "It seems like you and your sister are really close. How old is she?" she asked, feeling like she should know the answer but honestly having no idea. "And same question about your brother too, is he still at school or has he graduated?" she asked curiously. She hoped that he was older just because it sounded like he would probably be a professional Quidditch player. How cool would that be? It'd be freakin' awesome if you asked her.
She giggled at his comment, he was really funny. She greatly liked his sense of humor, it was refreshing really. Normally people only talked about serious things or emotions or stuff like that, she much preferred to talk about things like this - talking about nothing was sometimes more than talking about something. She wasn't completely against talking about serious things but it seemed like everyone was so preoccupied with the war that they forgot they hadn't died yet. She grinned, "All I ask is that you talk about other things than yourself sometimes, is that really too much to ask for?" she chuckled, her eyes glowing with amusement. She smiled, "She sounds amazing, I wish I had an older sister like that," she replied happily. It didn't bother her that she was an only child but siblings would be cool too. She laughed, "I don't think scissors would help all that much, look at these pictures! Their bodies are completely covered," she laughed, making sure to keep her volume down. She smiled at his next comment, that was really nice of him! She opened her mouth to tell him she felt just the same way about him but then he complimented himself. She nudged him with her shoulder, "Well I was about to compliment you on your sense of humor and intelligence but it looks like you do that enough for yourself," she teased. She nodded her head and smiled at his next comment, "Looks like we're making good progress then, eh?"
Chloe liked his laugh, it just made her want to laugh right along with him and she did. But she made sure not to make too much more noise. She giggled and nodded, "You're right, do we need to test it out on someone else then? I'm sure we could find someone..." she replied rather mischievously, which was completely uncharacteristic of her. She grinned and whispered, "I'll just have to remember to be quiet. I just get excited really easily," she replied, putting her finger up to her mouth to show she was really going to be quiet from now on.

Riley laughed. "Yea, it's pretty tiring. And he made us swear an oath that we would play until the game was over. Bloody prat."[b] he grumbled. [b]"I much prefer to watch myself. And yea, Gryffindor is un-stoppable with Potter! He's the best player we've seen in years! Ever since my brother that is." he winked. His brother would kill him if he found out he'd said anything but praise-filled words. Corin had such a huge ego. Especially when it came to Quidditch. "My sister and I are probably closer than my brother and I. She's 27 now. And Corin is 24. They both graduated awhile ago. Sera is working for the Ministry now, in the Magical Artifacts department and Corin is in training with the Falmouth Falcons." Both of his siblings had landed their dream jobs. Riley didn't know what he wanted his career to be, he only hoped he'd find something that he would enjoy doing as much as his brother and sister had.
He smiled and chuckled at her comment, nodding his head. "I suppose I can fit a few comments in there about things other than myself. Might be hard, but I'm willing to try. At least for you, cause you asked so nicely." he replied. Riley nodded his head again, "Yea, she's pretty awesome. Just don't tell her I said that or she would hold it over me forever." he laughed. Riley peered down at the pages in the book and chuckled. Scissors definitely wouldn't work. These people looked almost as bad as were-wolves! "I stand corrected." he smiled. He chuckled at her next comment. He enjoyed her sense of humor and her good-natured teasing. "Well, you said I could, so I did." Riley pointed out. He closed another book and tossed it into the not-useful pile. They were making progress and he was glad she had decided to help. "Definitely. Work always goes quicker with two people."
Riley gave her a mischievous smile. "Well, I am willing to try it out, if you are." he replied. She had said she wanted to, but had she really meant it? He supposed he would soon find out. He laughed softly. "It's understandable. I get that kind of reaction all the time." he replied coyly.

She shook her head and laughed, "Wow, seems like your brother knew exactly what he was getting you two in for. He seems pretty smart as well," she replied, wondering once again what it would be like to have a sibling. The more Riley talked about them the more she found herself wishing that she had one. Which was weird, normally she never thought twice about the fact. Oh well. She grinned, "I would have loved to see your brother play if he was as good as Potter is. What position does he play? Better yet, what position do you play when you do?" she asked curiously. When she played she liked to play Keeper, it was just a fun position. She really did enjoy playing, she just didn't have the time to be on a team, that just took too much dedication. Chloe mouth dropped and she said 'wow' or well, her lips moved in that way but no words actually came out. She smiled, "Your brother is training with the Falcons? That's amazing! He must be really, really good! That's cool that I know the brother of one of the players," she replied happily. That was fun. Quidditch players were almost like celebrities and it was an added bonus since she really liked the Falmouth Falcons. It was cool this his sister worked at the Ministry but that just wasn't as exciting when it was next to a famous Quidditch Player. She lifted up her eyebrows, "Last question about your brother, I promise. Is he single?" she joked, causing herself to giggle.
She chuckled at his comment, "Yeah, I guess I did ask pretty nicely. I mean I am letting you talk about yourself 75% of the time so there's no reason to complain. You couldn't honestly think of enough new things to say to be able to even talk about yourself all the time could you?" she asked, sticking her tongue between her teeth and crossing her eyes she giggled, "Well that was a mouthful,." She chuckled, "Well, as I don't know your sister I think you're pretty safe on that one," she replied, nodding her head once for emphasis. She grinned, the fur was completely ridiculous! They looked like animals! There was no way scissors would work and now Riley saw it too. She rolled her eyes and grinned, "I guess I did give you permission to didn't I?" she sighed and looked at him, "I'm going to regret giving you that permission aren't I?" she teased, looking back down at her book and flipping away from the picture of the fur-covered beast. It was rather grotesque looking no matter how funny it was. She grinned at his comment, "Lucky we ran into each other then. I imagine you'd be just lost without me," she teased. She didn't have an ego whatsoever and she wasn't going to start having one now. She was only teasing.
She matched his mischievous smile with one of her own, "Sounds good to me. That'd be funny to shave someone's head but I'm guessing we're going to have to find a charm to do that for us," she replied, wondering where they would find a charm like that. Maybe Riley already knew one though, he might not know about muggles ways of shavings. She wouldn't blame him if he didn't, most Purebloods didn't know all that much about muggles. She giggled and batted her eyelashes dramatically, "Oh yes Riley, you just overexcite me," she teased and smacked his arm lightly, "Loser." He was a lot of fun and she just couldn't stop smiling. Granted, she normally was always smiling but she still found him a lot of fun!

Riley nodded his head in a mock serious manner, "Oh he definitely knows what he's doing. He's rather crafty himself sometimes. But, we got him back good for that little stunt." he chuckled. The picture of his brother running around dyed in Ravenclaw house colors was still dancing in his mind. "My brother is a Beater. A rather violent and well-aimed one, I'd like to add. I've got the bruises to prove it. His expertise may be as a Beater, but he plays all positions fairly well; sometimes he will play Chaser. He makes me play Beater opposite him so he can have some competition to go against and Sera plays Keeper." he replied. His brother had a deadly aim as a Beater and Riley had often times found himself getting knocked off of his broom from a bludger his brother sent his way. Riley nodded his head again at her question. "Yea. He's in training right now, but he's in training as a reserve player, so we don't know if he will actually see any time on the pitch for awhile yet. Still impressive though, right?" he chuckled. His parents had practically gone mental when Corin had come home with the news that the Falcons had accepted him on the team. They didn't care if he was the towel boy, he was going to be a Falcon team member and a Quidditch star- in their eyes anyway. He raised his eyebrow at her question and grinned slyly. She wanted to know if his brother was single, eh? Maybe that meant she was single then? Riley had to admit to himself, Chloe was rather interesting and fun to spend time with and she was gorgeous. He shook his head, "Alas, fair maiden, he is seeing someone at the moment." he replied, putting his hand to his chest in mock sorrow. "However, you are in luck as I happen to be single." he wiggled his eyebrows at her and gave her his most charming grin.
Riley laughed, "So now I'm down to only being allowed to talk about myself for all of 75% of the time? You are a harsh task-master m'lady." he gave her a look of faux hurt. "But rest assured I will make it an interesting conversation, at least for 75% of the time." he chuckled. "And yes, I'm sure you will one day rue the day you gave me permission to speak so highly of myself, so freely." Riley's eyes sparkled with laughter. He was trying not to laugh too loudly, he didn't want to get in trouble, but their conversation was so much fun. He smiled at her next comment, "I imagine I very well would be. Or, if not lost, at least incredibly slow-moving."
His grin grew at her mischievous smile. "There is always a hair-remover potion. But, maybe we can find a charm that will make things doubley-quick. I think it would take too long to use scissors, and even then we wouldn't be able to get it all off." he ran his hands threw his hair and pulled it out so it was sticking up. Riley knew he probably looked silly, but he didn't care. He puffed out his chest and a cocky grin plastered his face at her comment. he knew she was being sarcastic, but he'd go along with it as if she weren't. "It's just this effect I have on women." he replied, teasing. "Don't feel bad, it happens to all the ladies. They just can't seem to control themselves around me. It's only natural, I suppose, when one is as good-looking, intelligent, charming and funny as I am." His smile dropped into a look of mock hurt at her playful slap. "I'm not a loser! You're affected by me, just admit it. I won't hold it against you." he winked.

She chuckled, "Well at least you got him back in the end. Still though, six hours? I'm surprised you had the energy to get him back," she replied, shrugging her shoulders. She wondered what sort of stunt he had done. She was sure he was just looking to brag about it though. She giggled inwardly at the thought, it was fun hanging around with someone with an ego like that. At least she'd be sure that he probably wasn't sensitive or pessimistic, that was always something she enjoyed in a person. She grinned as he talked about her brother. Beaters was the coolest position in Chloe's opinion. She was just a little girl though, she couldn't play it effectively herself. She smiled, "A Beater? That's the most fun position and the players I like to watch. They all seem to look the same though, more stout and a big build. Is that what your brother looks like?" Some might think that she was only trying to find out what his brother looked like but she was genuinely curious. She was curious about strange things sometimes. She nodded her head eagerly, "Heck yeah that's still impressive. You'll have to let me know when he gets on the reserves though. He might get to play in a match soon after that with how many players get hurt doing those games," she replied excitedly. She wanted to go to a Falcons game. She had only gone once when she was younger, never again after that. Sad really. She giggled as he raised his eyebrow at her. She snapped her fingers and gave him a look of mock disappointment when he told her his brother was seeing one. She rolled her eyes and laughed, "Surely not, someone as astounding as your sir?" she teased.
She giggled at his comment, "Only 75% of the time? Well I did have a little bit of hope that you might be able to talk about something other than yourself for at least a quarter of our conversations. I didn't realize that it would be such a hard task for ya," she teased him. She knew that he was probably capable of talking about other things than himself for even more than a quarter of the time. At least she sure hoped so, that would probably get old after a while. But maybe not, she'd never been around anyone like him before. She giggled, "No, no. I'm pretty sure that you'd be just lost. I don't think you'd be moving at all," she replied in the most serious tone that she could muster; it didn't turn out to be very serious however.
She stretched her arms out, "Yeah, I don't really feel like brewing up a potion just to find out. I'm sure there has to be a charm somewhere. If there's a charm that can make people grow fur, there has to be one that can make people lose their hair," she replied happily, picking up another one of the books that she had picked out. She watched out of the corner of her eye as he made his hair stick straight up. It was cool looking, a little silly, but cool looking nonetheless. She laughed, covering her open mouth with her hand. She put it down and rolled her eyes, "Yes Riley, thats just it. You've put me under your spell! I just can't get enough of you now that we're spending time together!" she put her hand to her forehead dramatically, "I just get so flustered around you," she tried to hold her giggle, she loved being overdramatic like this. She looked at him rather seriously, the corners of her lips twitching as they tried to smile despite her will, "I'll just have to forget about my temptations to jump on you," and she looked back down at her work, a stupid grin now on her face. She looked up at him smiling brightly, "You bought that, right?" she teased.

Riley shook his head, laughing, "We didn't get him back that same day. We took our time and planned it out so that it was the most absolutely perfect and flawless prank ever executed. It was a masterpiece, if I do say so myself." he comment. He could still see his brother stuck to the floor in the red and gold goop, covered in blue and bronze dye. His face had been priceless! Sera and Riley had laughed until they cried! Riley ran a hand through his hair, smiling. "Yea, Beater is fun, unless you're playing against my brother and his deadly aim. He's knocked me off my broom more times than I can count. Bloody rotten prat." he grumbled, but his voice was still teasing. His brother was ruthless when it came to playing Quidditch and more often than not Riley bore the brunt of it But, he loved his brother and he got to prank him back, so it worked out in the end. He nodded his head at her, "I'll let you know and we can go watch a game together." he smiled coyly. "It'll be a date." he joked, winking. Riley wanted to laugh at her comment. She had a wicked sense of humor! He schooled his face into one of faux hurt, his voice full of pitiful sorrow, "Sadly, it is the truth madame. This astounding male specimen before you is still an eligible bachelor." he joked.
"I suppose, for you, I can manage to cut my self-absorbed conversational topics down to 75%." he joked. "But only for you! Don't let other people know or else they'll want the same treatment. I've a reputation to uphold you know." he chuckled. He hoped she knew he was only joking. He had an ego, just like any other teenage male, but he really didn't like talking about himself ALL the time. He actually didn't think he was that interesting of a person. He gave her a playful glare, "Now that was uncalled for, Ms. Harrison. I don't think I'm completely incapable of doing work on my own." he retorted. "And after I even said such nice things about you." His voice was full of faux sadness, and the laughter in his green eyes gave away that he was joking.
Riley flipped through the pages of another book. A few charms on how to grow a beak, fins and a tail caught his eye, so he put the book aside in the 'useful' pile. He, once again, nodded at her. "I'm sure there is one. We just have to find it. And once we do, we are SO going to experiment!" he laughed. He scowled playfully at her as she laughed. At her comment his scowl changed into a huge grin, "I knew it! Happens all the time!" he teased her. He raised his eyebrow at her comment about jumping on him. He knew she was joking but it was not something he had expected her to say. "Oh please, don't fight your temptations on my behalf. By all means, give in." he gave her a feral grin and a wink. Riley was teasing her as well, but he wanted to see what her reaction would be. He frowned at her last comment, crossing his arms over his chest. "You were only joking!" he gave her a look of feigned hurt. "It's not nice to play with my emotions like that Ms. Harrison."

She giggled, "Well of course you would say it was a masterpiece. Would you expect anything less from yourself?" she teased, knowing that it probably had very well been a masterpiece. She was just going to pretend that his ego was taking over and it probably hadn't been all that good. Why was he so fun to pick on? Maybe it was because he took it well or maybe it was something else. She really wasn't sure and didn't want to ruin it by analyzing it all. Some things were just better left as they were, some thing just shouldn't be understood or else they loose something. That's how she viewed most things. She giggled at his comments about his brother, "Well that just goes to show that he's an amazing player. Sorry you had to get the bad end of it all though but I guess you just found other ways to get him back," she replied, shrugging her shoulders casually. She wished that she could come up with some amazing prank, one that would knock the socks off of Riley but she really doubted that she had the creativity. He seemed to truly be inspired to do that sort of thing, she was just doing it for a little bit of fun. She knew she would never be able to be the prankster that Riley was. Oh well. She didn't really mind. It was always better to leave this sort of thing to the professionals anyways. She laughed at his comment, he was a joker wasn't he? She batted her eyelashes and gave him a silly grin, "Oooh, Riley, that'd be wonderful!" she replied in a high voice, clasping her hands together in front of her. She chuckled and rolled her eyes, he was really funny. Though she certainly wouldn't say no to going to a game with him. She was sure that he'd probably be a lot of fun to watch it with. Damn, hopefully she hadn't ruined her chance of going to one if there had been any chance at all! She giggled at the look on his face, "Oh, I'm sure you'll find someone who will have you," she teased, grinning with her tongue slightly sticking out inbetween her teeth. It was the weird smile she had when she was trying not to burst out loud.
She laughed and rolled her eyes, still making sure to keep her voice down. He certainly was something else! She put her hand over her chest and gave him a look like she was sincerely touched, although she was overdoing it like usual, "Aw, Riley! If that just wasn't the sweetest thing I've ever heard," she replied, giggling. Now she knew that he was only joking about his ego, that was good. She had been starting to get worried about it despite herself. But now, no worries, just the way that she liked it. She didn't think that she could ever talk about herself for seventy-five percent of the time, she didn't have that much to say. She was just normal or well, thats what she thought anyways. She sighed dramatically, "Okay, okay. I guess I wasn't giving you enough credit. You wouldn't be completely lost but you would be moving at a snail's pace," she teased him, knowing he would have been able to carry on without her with no problem. He'd been doing it for years now anyways. She was only a beginner!
Well she had obviously picked out a bad book. Nothing in it was any good! There wasn't anything better than making boils appear on the opponent and well, that just didn't seem like fun. That was something someone used more on an enemy and still, that was almost lame. She tossed it beside her, if the librarian had seen her throwing books like that she'd have a cow. She didn't really care though. The librarian was nowhere near them and if she was going to come and talk to them about causing a disturbance, she certainly would have done so already. She grinned at his words, "Well I'm glad you're just as excited about this as I am!" She looked at him and chuckled, "I can't imagine you without your hair though. Can I draw on your bald head when all your hair is gone?" she asked randomly, giggling. It would be pretty funny to write her name or draw a pirate or something on his head. Or even writing loser, he wouldn't be able to see what she wrote on the top of his head! She doubted he'd really let her though. It was still fun to think about. She grinned as he commented on her dramatic act, she had been quite proud of it, thank you very much. She giggled as he raised his eyebrow, "Oh no, I'd hate to ruin our friendship, I can't just be another one of your girls Mr. Dane," and she flipped her hair haughtily over her shoulder, a grin slowly spreading across her face. She laughed, "Aw, I didn't hurt your feelings did I?" she teased him.

He chuckled, "Touche." Riley titled an imaginary hat in her direction, a gesture to show she had won the proverbial battle. This time. He smiled at her. He didn't mind letting her win, not when it was justified. Besides, it as all in good fun and that was more important anyway. His green eyed gaze met her own, and he once again found himself admiring her eyes. They really were very pretty. "He is an amazing player. And I'm an amazing prankster. And that's why he shall play for the Falcons and I shall cheer from the stands." he laughed. "And of course you can cheer with me, for one or two games if you'd like." he offered nonchalantly. Riley shot her a mischievous grin, "But, you have to promise to tell everyone they were dates." he teased. He laughed at the face she made. "I'm sure I will one day. I've got my sights set on a few of the ladies, but they only want me for my good looks or as a way to get to my brother." he joked. That was a lie. Riley didn't know of any of the girls in Hogwarts that were interested in him and, honestly, he hadn't really had the time to really look into it.
Riley winked at her and flipped through a couple more books, tossing them in their respective piles. "Sweet words for a sweet lady, my dear.' he crooned in an overly dramatic voice. He enjoyed joking around with her and hoped she wouldn't get offended at his comments. She didn't seem like she would, but one could never tell. He stuck his tongue out at her at her next comment and turned his gaze back to the books, determined to prove her wrong.
He was pretty sure his eyes were as big as saucers and he snorted in laughter when she asked if she could draw on his bald head. When he managed to get his laughter back under control, he flashed her a sly grin "Only if I can draw on yours!" he replied. He figured she would probably try and draw something silly on his head. Hell, he knew if given the chance, he'd try and draw something silly on her head! Well, fair is fair after all! He grabbed her hand and gave her a mock serious look, his voice suave and teasing "Miss Harrison, don't you know you could never be one of the girls? You're too special. Those other girls, they don't mean anything compared to you. They couldn't hold a candle to you m'lady." he placed a kiss on her hand in an over-dramatic gesture. He chuckled as he pulled away and placed her hand back into her lap. "My feelings are hurt madame, but I shall survive. It will take me awhile to move on. You're going to be a tough one to get over Chloe Harrison. But by merlin, some day my heart will heal eventually." he sniffed sadly and sat back against the shelf, raising his hand to his forehead in a show of pretend dejection.

She grinned as he acknowledged her victory. She balled her hands into fists and pumped them in the air, "I am victorious," she giggled, putting her hands back down at her side. Well, at least he could admit when he was defeated, that was more than most teenage boys could do it seemed. Well, teenage girls too. So pretty much more than most teenagers would do. Pride usually kept them from ever doing such a thing. Which Chloe thought was incredibly stupid by the way. As their eyes locked for a moment, she looked at his green eyes, wishing hers were that vibrant sort of color. He had the pretty green eyes she always wanted, she just got stuck with big old dull green ones. She nodded at his comment, wishing for a moment that she was really good at Quidditch so she could go off and play on a professional team. That would be nothing short of amazing but it certainly wasn't in the cards for the fifteen year old. Her face immediately brightened when he told her that he would take her to one or two of the games. She was about to thank him when he mentioned the other part of the deal. She laughed, "Well, I suppose I can do that, it'd be worth it to catch a look at your brother," she teased him. He was an awful lot of fun to tease! She was finding herself enjoying his company more and more. To think, she'd been missing out on someone as much fun as this for five years! What the heck was wrong with her? She gave him an overly dramatic look of sympathy and placed her hand on his shoulder, "I'm sure you'll find someone out there for you whose after more than your good looks or your brother," she told him, patting him on the shoulder before taking her arm back. She looked at him with wide eyes, "Wait a second! Who else is after you brother other than me? Am I gonna have to duel a witch?" she joked, trying to keep a serious expression but feeling as though she was failing, yet again.
For some reason when Riley winked it wasn't as stupid and cheesy as winking had always seemed to be. That was odd, she'd always made fun of people who winked. Yup, there was something different about the boy but she just couldn't put her finger on it. Oh well, she was sure she'd figure it out sooner or later. She acted as if she were blushing and embarrassed, "Merci monsieur," she replied, unable to hold back the giggles. She had an absolutely dismal french accent.
She began having a giggle fit at the look on Riley's face. His eyes were absolutely huge, she'd obviously caught him off guard when she asked if she could write on his bald head. She put her finger to her chin, tapping it while she scrunched her mouth to the side, the classic Chloe-is-thinking face. She sighed, she knew he would write something silly on her head as well but it would be worth it to do it to him. She shot her hand out towards him, "Alright, its a deal. But you have to shake on it!" she replied excitedly, dozens of funny things to write on his head were flashing through her mind at the moment. She held in her laughter when he grabbed her hand, looking right at him as he spoke to her, trying to look like the leading women did in those old movies. She put her free hand up to her cheek, "Well, Mr. Dane. You sure do know how to flatter a girl, don't you? I imagine this must be one of the lines you say to all the girls?" she teased him, giving him a small wink of her own. Crap, had she really just done that? He was rubbing off on her already! She gave him a look as though she were offended, "So you could get over me one day? That was like a dagger to the heart. Surely you don't mean it?" she teased, flashing him a grin. He put on a show just as much as she did.

He shook his head and laughed. "Yea, yea. Whatever. I let you win." he replied, his voice full of playful anger. Riley smiled and winked at her to show he was just kidding, even though he figured she probably knew it anyway. He smiled even bigger as she laughed, he liked her laugh. He found himself wanting to make her laugh even more, just so he could hear it. Riley narrowed his eyes at her comment, "No checking out my brother while you're on a date with me!" he pouted. He crossed his arms over his chest, lifting his chin up into the air in a haughty pose. His gaze narrowed further at her sympathetic gesture but before he could respond to her initial comment, she had continued talking. He rolled his eyes at her and smirked. "Oh, there's TONS of witches after him. You're best bet might be to just move on to someone more attainable." he suggested, his voice teasing. "As I have mentioned before, I am available." he wiggled his eyebrows at her.
Riley grinned at her as she seemed to ponder his offer. He figured it was only fair if she got to write on his bald head, then he got to write on hers. He laughed at her hand as she extended it in agreement. "Deal." he replied, extending his own hand to grasp hers. Now it was official, when they got rid of their hair, they were going to write on the others head. He laughed at the thought, clutching his stomach as he shook. When his laughter had subsided he flashed her a cheesy grin. Riley schooled his face into as serious a look as he could make. "I'm wounded that you would think such a thing! I assure you Ms. Harrison, that this is not one of my lines. Every word I say is the absolute, honest-to-Merlin, truth and completely sincere." He chuckled again. She was so much fun to tease. "Oh madame, it would take years to get over you. That's if I ever was able to get over you. You've stolen my heart." he waved his arm around in an overly-dramatic gesture. He was having way too much fun and his research lay beside him, practically forgotten.

She scowled, "Aw, come on, don't be a baby about it," she teased, playing absentmindedly with the book on her lap, flipping through the pages and such. She was honestly surprised that the librarian hadn't come around by then, they'd been making an awful lot of noise. All for the better though, she was having a lot of fun with him. She was surprised that they hadn't hung out a lot before then, she'd always known he was nice and fun, but she hadn't realized that he was this much fun. She giggled at his comment, "Oh alright, if it makes you feel better I'll try my hardest not to check out your brother, you're really testing my self-control aren't you?" she teased. She laughed at his overly-done body language, he was even more dramatic than she was! She snapped her fingers loudly in disappointment and shook her head as he told her there were already tons of witches after his brother. She honestly didn't care but it was a fun joke, hell, she didn't even know what the bloke looked like! She giggled and rolled her eyes when he mentioned the fact that he was single, again. She decided to mess with him a little bit more, "Well, like I said, I'm sure you'll find someone, if I didn't already have a boyfriend, I might go after you myself," she kept her face as serious as she could, she wanted to see if he would buy it.
She smiled as he shook her hand, she knew that her hand was burning up, she just hoped that it wasn't all sweaty, that would be gross. His hand was warm and without sweat, so that was good. She thought about the things she could write on his head, she thought about 'I have fantasies about being with the Giant Squid,' 'Watch out, I'm part troll,' and several other stupid things that she found oddly hilarious. She wondered what he would write on her head though, she got a little nervous when she thought about that but then again, she didn't know if they would actually wander about the school with shaved heads, though it would be funny. She'd have to see if her head was oddly shaped first. She had to fight with herself for a moment to keep from laughing, very loudly, at his comment. She mustered up the most serious face she could, which once again wasn't very serious, "Mr. Dane, I do have a hard time believing that. Am I supposed to believe that you honestly meant that? That you've never said it to anyone else? I find that incredibly hard to believe, so don't play your games with me," she pointed her finger at him before clutching at the spot where her heart was, "I can't take the heartbreak." And she turned her head dramatically to the side, silently laughing so that Riley couldn't see her. She laughed at his overly-done arm gestures and sighed, "Well, thats good to hear." She rolled her eyes at both of them, they were being ridiculous, but it was so much fun!

Riley just winked at her and picked up the pile of discarded books next to him. He stood up and stretched a minute before starting to re-shelve the books they had decided they wouldn't need. He nearly dropped the books in his silent laughter at her comment, but he schooled his face into one of deep hurt as he swiveled to face her. "Try your hardest?! You will try your hardest not to 'check out' my brother while on a date with me? I am deeply wounded madame!" he clutched his chest dramatically and sunk to the floor, allowing the books to cascade down with him. At her next comment, his face perked up and he smiled. "Yes, yes, like I said before. Tons, thousands... millions even, of witches are after my brother. And you're definitely not his type. He likes a pretty witch an empty head. You know, a woman who doesn't know her head from... anything. And you my dear, lovely lady, while you may meet the first category, you are anything by an airhead." He faltered for a minute. "Wait, did you say you already had a boyfriend?" His face dropped again. True he had been mostly joking around with her, but Chloe was a very pretty and intelligent and funny girl, and he wouldn't mind getting to know her a bit more, perhaps taking her out on a dinner date.
He raised his eyebrows in confusion at her next comment and then narrowed his eyes in understanding. The bloody chit was messing with him! The minx! And she was good at it too! He had to give her credit, she was good and that made him like her even more. Well, two could play at that game! "Alright! Alright! You've found me out! I do say it to many, many witches. but, I've never meant it before. but with you, Chloe Harrison, I do mean it." He moved to kneel in front of her and took her hands in his own. "You are my world and I only wish there was some way you would believe me when I say that. Perhaps there is one thing I can do to make you believe me." Riley reached into his pocket and pulled out his trick inking pen and transfigured it into a ring and placed it on her finger. "Hopefully this will show you how much I care madame. And don't mind if it squirts ink, the stain will fade within 10 to 15 minutes." he finished, his face red from holding in his laughter.

Chloe had seen the title of a spell that caught her eye but then found out it was nothing funny at all; just a way to make people grow warts and that was completely overdone. It wasn't even really that humorous to her anymore. Chloe chuckled quietly at his comment but when she looked at his face she doubled over with laughter, "Oh come on. He's a professional Quidditch player! Can you really expect me not to check him out at least once or twice?" She rolled her eyes and laughed at his overdramatic gestures and the books falling all around him. She thought about doing some kind of charm to make the thudding of the books quieter but she couldn't think of a charm right off the top of her head. So down they fell along with him. She laughed at his other comments about how many witches were after his brother. She was about to reply when her last comment had finally hit Riley about her having a boyfriend. Ha, he had fallen for it! She went through her mind trying to think of a name, a GOOD name, and see if he would buy it. She would say James Potter but everyone knew that he was smitten for Lily. So Sirius? Or she could always say Apollo...nah, Sirius would make it look more like she was joking. She tried to compose a serious face, "Oh yeah, have you not heard about me and Sirius?" Her face stayed straight enough for about fifteen seconds and then she started giggling. She was no good at this.
Chloe just giggled once again at his comment, her sides were starting to hurt from all this laughing. But it was one of those good kinds of hurt, one of the ones you knew came from laughing too much - kind of like when your cheeks hurt after a while of smiling and laughing. She opened her mouth to reply, what was he about to do to make her believe him? She laughed out loud as he put the transfigured ring on her finger. She shoved his shoulder and sure enough some ink came out and squirted her right in the shoulder; which only caused her to laugh harder. "Riley Dane! You better be right about this ink coming off of me in fifteen minutes or I'll have you doing my laundry tonight," she laughed, looking over her shoulder to see if the librarian was coming. She must be having an off-day, normally she would have been there in a heartbeat. She looked back at him with a playful glare, "I'm just thankful you haven't gotten us in trouble yet," she teased.

Riley nodded his head in consent to her comment, "Touche m'lady. But no more than is truly needed. It will sorely damage my ego. And trust me, it's practically deflated as is, having a brother like him already." he joked. Riley dusted himself off and stood again, placing the fallen books back on the shelves, grabbing another armload to sort through. He settled back down on the ground and sifted through the first couple of pages of a book full of spells to create fake wounds and things on one's own body. He figured those could come in handy, especially during Halloween. Chloe's giggles were infectious and he fought hard not to chuckle along with her. His mouth nearly fell open when she claimed to be dating Sirius. He raised his eyebrow in disbelief, now he definitely knew she was giving him a hard time. "Sirius, eh? Mr. Playboy himself? You've a wicked sense of humor Miss Harrison." he laughed.
Riley double-over in laughter as the ring squirted ink on her shoulder. Talking through his guffaws, he said, "I..... I.... promise it..... it will come out.... soon." He covered his mouth to quiet the noise he was making. He was surprised the librarian hadn't come and kicked them out yet, though she probably would be soon. He stuck his tongue out at her and gave her a playful glare back, "That I haven't gotten us in trouble? You're as much to fault as I am little miss." he chuckled.
