Miniatures:
1) Do you perform commission work?

Yes. I do perform work on a commission basis. I am very selective of the work and projects that I accept. If you are interested in a commission work, please contact me. Costs of the commissions will be determined on a case by case basis. When emailing me or sending my a private message (PM), please include as specific a description as possible of what you would like, such as models to be used, theme, basing requirements, weapon layouts, posing, color schemes, and any other items that you think may be helpful.

2) What type of commissions do you typically accept?

I typically accept commissions for converting existing miniatures. I am extremely selective when it comes to painting commissions. Models for commissions may either be shipped to me, or I can purchase them. If I purchase the models, the cost of the models or any conversion pieces, including the shipping costs of these items will be included in the agreed upon amount of the commission. Extra time may be required if I am purchasing the models or bits. Generally it takes 7 to 14 days for me to receive them, and I choose who I wish to deal with.

I rarely will accept painting commissions. It typically depends upon whether or not it is something that I really have wanted to paint. Painting takes considerably longer to perform the work, so time may be an issue.

3) What are your terms for payment?

My terms are pretty simple. All payments must be in U.S. Currency. We negotiate the amount for the commission, and the person wanting the commission (buyer) will pay for actual shipping costs. The buyer pays a minimum of half of the agreed upon commission amount up front or for the cost of the materials required, whichever is higher, prior to me performing any work. The reason I do this is that I want only serious buyers.

Upon completion of the commission, the remainder the agreed upon amount will be due plus the cost of shipping to be paid by the buyer. If for any reason you, the buyer, are unable to pay for a completed commission at that time, the model will be reserved for 14 calendar days.

If payment still has not been received, I will then make the model available for sale to another client, buyer, place up for sale or trade on various sites, or place it up for auction on eBay.

The cost of shipping will be just that, the cost that United States Postal Service or other shipper expects to charge me for the item, or the agreed upon amount.

4) What forms of payment are acceptable?

All payments must be in U.S. Currency. I accept Paypal, Money Orders, and Cashier Checks. I do not accept Personal Checks.

5) How long does it take for you to perform the work?

That really depends upon complexity. I normally will only perform work on weekends that I have free time. During negotiating the price of the commission(s) I will give the buyer an estimate of how long I think it will take.

6) How do you ship the work?

I will ship the work in a sturdy box(es) of appropriate size, with the items protectively wrapped or packed. I typically ship through the United States Postal Service, but may choose to use other shipping methods.

I cannot guarantee the safety of models, but will do my best to protect them in the packaging. I cannot accept responsibility for damages that occur through USPS mishandling, which is why I suggest insuring the commission piece for its full value. In the unlikely event that any damage does occur, I will be happy to repair it for you if it is sent back to me, but a full refund cannot be given for items that are broken or lost in shipping.

7) Do you provide sketches or "work in progress" pictures?

If requested, yes. I'll place scans or pictures up on my photobucket account for viewing. I reserve the right to photograph any of my commission works in progress, and to display them on my web page, portfolio, internet forums, or use as tutorials and advertisements. I will not tell people who the work was done for.

8) Do you provide pictures of the finished work for review?

If requested, yes. I'll place pictures up on my photobucket account for viewing. I reserve the right to photograph any of my commission works and to display them on my web page, portfolio, internet forums, or use as advertisement. I'm particularly proud of the work that I do, and appreciate my time and effort that I will put into each piece I work on for the buyer. I am also going to be proud to show them off. The buyer may own the miniature, but I still retain ownership of its creation and images. If that is something you wish for me not to do, please let me know and we will discuss the matter, and work things out ahead of time. I will not tell people who the work was done for, if so required by the buyer.
