Welcome to MLS and we hope you enjoy your stay. Below will be the rules that we expect you to follow.

1. No god-modding. It's not cool and never has been cool. We won't go into detail about what it is because we assume most people already know. But if not: God-modding is when you make a character that isn't yours do something without the other player's consent. It's generally considered rude to do such a thing, so don't do it unless you have the other player's permission.

2. No Mary-Sues! What is a Mary-Sue, you ask? A Mary-Sue is a girl or a guy that is always perfect. They are the best at everything, drop-dead gorgeous and all the guys/girls want to be with them because of this, despite the fact that there is no one on earth who is like that. So in case you were wondering, no your character can't be the smartest, prettiest prom queen in the entire universe, and if your character has "eyes that make everyone stop and stare", chances are people will be inclined to write about how butt-ugly your character is and wonder why she's cross-eyed. Don't assume that everyone will love your character, for the love of all that is holy.

3. Posting! We expect you to post at least two paragraphs when making a post or posting a reply. Remember to dig deep and write about how your character is feeling and what is going on around them. You don't have to write novel-length replies but please consider the person/people that you are playing with.

4. Plagiarism! It's a big no-no and will not be tolerated. Anyone who is found to be doing such a thing will be banned and reported.

5. Rating! This board is Rated R, meaning that if your characters are intending to have sex then it needs to fade to black. If you are still intent on having your crazy monkey sex then please take it to PMs. Why can't there be sex on this board? Because it violates Invision's TOS.

6. The IC/OOC line! We're all sure that you know about this rule already. Do not cross the line in order to avoid a drama train wreck of epic proportions. If you have a problem with another player then please contact an admin so that we may help you sort it out.

7. Characters! There is no set character limit but please remember that you should only take on as many characters as you can manage.

8. Please use proper spelling and grammar in your posts. Most word processors have spell check and it really does not hurt to type up your posts in them just to be on the safe side. We understand if there are a few errors here and there but excessive mistakes aren’t acceptable. Firefox also has a built in spell checker.

Writing Styles We Allow: First-person (for journal entries) and Third-person for role-playing.

9. ACTIVITY! this is a very important aspect of the game that can either make or break it. We ask that you stay active by posting/taking part in a thread. Don't just wait around for someone to ask you to thread with them - be proactive, create a thread! We ask that you post at least once a week. If you can't follow that then what are you doing here?

10. Time change! Every three weeks there will be a TIME CHANGE that will progress the game ahead one week ICly. In short, three OOC weeks = one IC week. The mods will then make an entry with information about the time change and also address those players who have not been active. At this time these players will receive a strike and will be told to become active. If by the next time change they are still not active, they will receive yet another strike. After three strikes they will be removed from the community. However, we do allow removed players to reapply at any time.

11. Members are required to post within one week of joining MLS. If you do not post within seven days of joining we will assume that you are no longer interested and therefore you will be removed from the game.

12. This is not a dating site for your character, meaning do not join this board just to have your characters hook up. We are striving for character development here and if your character manages to find someone down the line then that’s fine.

13. Diversity! We need, especially since this game takes place in California. Not everyone can be white with blond hair and blue eyes. Step out of your bubble! Make an Asian character, or a black character! Hawaiian, Puerto Rican, Latino - we need them all and we don't want to have to end up putting a cap on Caucasians.

14. Screen names! You must register with your character name, first and last. Your character name should look like: Mary Joe, meaning there should be proper capitalization and such! You can also make an OOC name if you feel like it.

15. Lastly? Have fun! :D

On Senshi
1. In case you are not familiar with sailor moon, each Senshi will have both civilian and magical identities—that is, the same character may exist as both Sailor Mercury, the Senshi, and as Ami Mizuno, the school girl. Each Senshi has a transformation sequence which grants her elemental powers; these powers come from an object called a "Sailor Crystal" which is said to be within each of them (source: Wiki)

2. There are two subsets of Senshi teams and they are the Inner/Guardian and Outer Sailor Senshi. We will be using both teams in this RP.
+The Inner/Guardian Senshi consist of four Senshi who serve as Sailor Moon's closest protectors and they are Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter

+The Outer Senshi are those who defend the solar system from external threats. These Senshi are named Sailor Saturn, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto and Sailor Uranus.

+The uniform worn by the Sailor Senshi is modeled after a popular style of Japanese school uniform, the sērā fuku or "sailor suit".

On Shitennou
1. Like the Senshi, Tuxedo Mask and the Generals will have both civilian and magical abilities.

+Tuxedo Mask/Endymion will be the leader of the four Shitennou and they will come to his aid when needed.

+The four Shitennou consist of Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite.

+The uniform for Tuxedo Mask/Endymion is that of a tuxedo (but can be changed because, let's face it, the tuxedo thing is pretty lame) and the Shitennou's uniforms look like THIS.

On Villains
1. The main baddies will be henchmen of The Ending who possess both a civilian and powered form that they can switch between as they please.

2. Like the Senshi and Tuxedo Mask and his Generals, The Ending's henchmen are blessed with magical abilities. What these abilities are is entirely up to the player and may not overlap with those already in use (i.e. a henchman cannot have fire powers since Mars already has that covered).

3. The Ending will be a mod-controlled NPC.

THE SENSHI
So you want to make a Senshi?

So! You want to make a Senshi, huh? Not a problem. Here are a few choice things that you need to know!

IDENTITY
Just like in the anime series the Senshi's real identity, although GLARINGLY OBVIOUS TO NON IDIOTS, is kept secret by some unknown force despite the fact that they don't wear masks or anything else to conceal their faces. To combat this we mods have decided that whatever civilian the Senshi end up saving (be it someone from school or an adult they may know) will not be able to recall their faces once the incident is over. Even when they SEE the Senshi's face they won't know who it is.

HENSHIN
Henshin means transform just in case you were not aware. Each Senshi has a transformation sequence and its colorful and pretty and shiny and despite how long it takes to transform they will always be ready to fight since no villain is smart enough to attack while they are transforming. Us mods wager that there is probably some sort of invisible force field around the Senshi as they transform. Each Henshin sequence starts out with your character throwing her hand in the air while gripping her key chain and shouting "Mercury power, make-up!" Everyone's Henshin yell is more or less the same with the exception of Sailor Moon who gets the pleasure of yelling "Moon prism power, make-up!" Of course we can't forget about the Henshin object! Each girl will start off with a key chain that is shaped like their planatery symbol.

UNIFORM
The uniforms are still the same, the only difference being that your character's hair color will not change into blue/whatever crazy color. The hair color will stay the same but you have the choice of what style it goes to when your precious does transform. As the plot progresses the uniforms will end up evolving into something different. You'll see.

THE SHITENNOU

IDENTITY
They were bad guys in the anime but here they will be on the side of good! They are under the instruction of Tuxedo Mask and they may or may not like that. Hell, they might not even get along with the Senshi - only time will tell. Like the Senshi, the Shitennou have secret identities! The rules for how no one knows who they are in real life is the same as it is for the Senshi.

HENSHIN
The Shitennou don't have fancy transformation goodness like the Senshi BUT they can have one if you so choose! Their Henshin item is a silver pocket watch that they can safely stow away in their...pocket, backpack or other such place. In order to transform they grip their pocket watches (Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, Kunzite), throw their hand into the air and yell "Shitennou power, transform!" Tuxedo Mask has no transformation item or phrase and can will himself to transform by just thinking about it. Yeah, he's that cool.

UNIFORM
Shitennou uniforms look like this and this, military style with a tiny bit of individuality for each member. When your character transforms he does not have to gain the same hair style as the characters in the anime.

THE VILLAINS
The villains are under the rule of The Ending and they are either created or recruited. The recruits can be teenagers or adults and must have disdain for humanity in general or else it just won't work. They are villains so they should be evil and all around pretty despicable people. While they are in their civilian form they can attend school, teach, fall in love, date or work some mundane job.

IDENTITY
Same as the rest. No one knows who they are when they aren't in uniform and being the evil things that they are.

HENSHIN
No set phrase and their transformation sequence doesn't have to be flashy and full of colors. Why, they can simply sink into the shadows and reappear all decked out in their hot outfit. With villains you have to freedom to choose what their uniform looks like. AWESOME! They CAN have a Henshin item if you so choose.

THE CITIZENS
The normal folk in Alameda county! They can be students, teachers, adults and anything else under the sun. These are the people that the Senshi and Shitennou are sworn to protect. They may be friends with a Senshi or Shittenou and not even know it! They may start to wonder why their friend has to run out of class all of a sudden. Hell they may even accidentally find out one of their friends is a Senshi or Shittenou.
