The Chronicles of Stassus Glaw
The Shadows Saga: Reports, Part I (link) The Slaves Saga: To Keep a Crown, Part I (below) To Keep a Crown, The Slaves Saga, Part I Penned By Vaprak Stassus Glaw, High Lord of The Giant’s Causeway and Master of Beasts, shifted uncomfortably in his seat. No matter how he turned or shifted, his armor chafed. In truth it was not his armor that irritated him, it was the Slaves to Darkness that had managed to get under his skin. “Like a cancer they eat at my city. Spreading their influence like plague. For every one of their supporters we kill, two take their place,” offered Glaw in disgust. A wiry and whip-cord strong Druchii stood alone before the Highborn Lord of The Causeway. The figure was dressed all in black, wearing a tight fitting body suit and a light but strong cloak that strangely seemed to reveal everything about the figure, yet concealed much. There was not doubt as to the figure’s occupation. It was a Druchii Assassin. The fact that the figure was smiling and standing alone before Stassus Glaw further marked this particular assassin. It could be none other than Mordek’kai, The Darkslayer. For no other would dare stand before Glaw and smile, save perhaps one of Glaw’s concubines or Xiombarg and her witch elves. “Tell me you have better news, Mordek’kai,” continued Glaw. “Yes, Highborn. I have been among them. The rumors are true. The Slaves to Darkness are weak. They have fallen into complacency. They like ripe fruit waiting to be eaten. Their lands are yours for the taking. Put them in their place and the people will see that there are no options,” replied the master assassin. “What word of the Skaven in the north?” inquired Glaw. “It is Vang Three Claws. I know of him. He is an experienced Warlord of much standing with strong ties to the Blackpaw Network and Clan Eshin. He has taken the village of Sveg from the Slaves to Darkness and they have done nothing. He could be useful to our cause, Highborn,” suggested Mordek’kai. “Indeed, indeed. You have done well Mordek’kai. You have done well. See to this Vang. Win him to our cause and we shall crush this uprising,” commanded Glaw. Stassus Glaw, High Lord of The Giant’s Causeway and Master of Beasts, leaned back in his chair. His armor had ceased to itch, once again it felt right – like a second skin. Glaw’s world was returning to normal. The Druchii Highborn was almost happy as his thoughts turned to the suffering he would inflict on his enemies. Perhaps a trip to the arenas was in order. Yes, he was due an afternoon’s entertainment. |
