Hello Folks,

Are we going to be 7th or 8th edition for the 2250 round and above? I'm guessing (and prefer) 8th but thought I should ask.

I would be up for one more round of 7th, and maybe something like 1000 to 1500 tournament/ relearning the system in 8th edition; the idea being we could get a bunch of games in with the new edition in a short amount of time.

For the Escalation League, I'm planning on running a round robin between the top scores to determine the winner using the current 7th Edition rules and then considering the WFB Escalation League complete. I'm inclined to make a clean break and end the current Escalation League with 7th Edition.

Please note that during the July 2010 40K Tourney, anyone showing up to play WFB can re-play and re-submit 1 score for any round of the Escalation League (using 7th Edition rules). So anyone who's one game out of the top tier has a chance to toss their hat back in the ring.

Currently Eric T. and I have the top scores, but Mark hasn't submitted his results for the 2000 point value and may still be in the top rank. Dave is one game out and has a chance to join the round robin with a July game and re-submission.

Then we can consider doing something else with the advent of 8th Ed. I like the idea of playing some 1500 point games to run through the new rules in August.

We could run a new Escalation League with 8th Edition or plan some other organized event. I'm open to suggestions.

Just a post to tidy up this forum.

This WFB Escalation League offically ended in June 2010.

Tied for 1st place were:
Eric T. - Empire
Zak T. - Daemons

I've added this event and the victors to our Green Dragons Hall of Fame forum post.

Congrats to the victors and to all who participated.

It was a great run and a blast!

Thanks for making it a fun and exciting League.
