Title: Pistols in Mordheim?

So I'm wondering some stuff about pistols..

So, I have a guy with a pistol and a sword. That counds as 2 weapons so he gets 2 attacks and 1 of them at str 4 (the pistol) correct? Now, if you shoot a pistol you have to spend the next turn reloading it and can't shoot. But, what if on that next turn you decide to charge into combat instead? Is your pistol still not loaded and thus, ya can't get the pistol attack in close combat? If so, do you still get the +1 attack at least?

And also, what if you have a guy with brace of pistols? In the first round of close combat you get your pistol attacks (2 of em), and then in the 2nd round, do you still get 2 attacks for having 2 hand weapons (pistols), just without the str 4?

Yes, that is correct. Don't forget that the str 4 attack is also -2 to the armor save. This str 4 attack can only be used once per combat. The pistol still gives +1 attack in subsequent rounds like an additional hand weapon, it's just at the user's strength thereafter.

I haven't seen any specific ruling on this, but I'd give you the str 4 attack in close combat regardless of the fact that you shot last round. The rules state that you get a str 4 attack once per combat.

Yes, that is correct.

Also keep in mind that (from the Mordheim Rules Review posted at GW's Specialist Games Mordheim site with The Mordheim Living Rulebook):
"Q. Can weapons be swapped during combat?
A. No, with the exception of pistols and lances which may be exchanged for a different weapon after their first turn special attack."
