Description: game???
Lord Zorathos - June 12, 2009 11:41 PM (GMT)
hey did anyone see the banner earlier it had a game on it called ENVOY! don't sound to appealing to me but maybe some of you others might enjoy it :P
Vaprak - June 15, 2009 02:01 PM (GMT)
I did happen to see that and got a good 'chuckle' at it. :)
I think that given Al's cool demeanor and even temperament, we should elect Al as our representative, our 'envoy' if you will, for this new and exciting endeavor. :P
Lord Zorathos - June 15, 2009 05:43 PM (GMT)
sure the way I've been playing with the new army book I fit the description :(
WilhelmRochRedDuke - June 16, 2009 12:54 PM (GMT)
just stay away from the elves...
Lord Zorathos - June 16, 2009 01:30 PM (GMT)
which ones????
as i write this its the banner at the bottom ( it says its free forever )
generalmalaise - June 16, 2009 01:36 PM (GMT)
I Don't Play "EVONY" (though the game designers should spell check every once in a while)
I Play the companion game "IBORY"
they live together in perfect harmony......
Necros - October 28, 2009 01:26 PM (GMT)
I tried this game out last night, it was kinda fun building stuff. I made a teeny army of 150 workers and sent them out to conquer a forest and no one made it home alive :(
Rakka da Konkorur - October 28, 2009 02:03 PM (GMT)
I am all over this game. It helps that I work on a computer so I can be on it for most of the day and be up to date on my cities and armeis.
Necros - October 28, 2009 02:27 PM (GMT)
I can't do it from work. wish I could but too many bosses walk by where my cube is :( it's bad enough I have to type every post I do in an email window so no one sees me on boards all day :) I just tab over to the board and paste in what I wrote real quick :) I love browser tabs.
I guess once I get out of the newbie stage and have a city built I'll be able to just log in once in a while to update stuff.
what happens if someone attacks you while you're not playing though? can you log in one day and your city is gone?
I keep running out of lumber :( is it better to build like 8 level 1 lumber mills, or just a couple and upgrade them?
Rakka da Konkorur - October 28, 2009 05:28 PM (GMT)
You will always have one city. If you only have one city, it cannot be conquered.
Lumber is needed A LOT early in the game. It's probably better to have more farms and lumber yards in the game...but don't skimp on the othere two either.
What server are you on?
Necros - October 28, 2009 06:01 PM (GMT)
I think the server is 90. my name in there is Necros.
I have 2 each for lumber, stone and iron and 1 farm at the moment. I think the lumber is level 6 now and the iron is 5. I also 4 cottages, all the other buildings up to barracks. I figured out my army of workers died because I didn't scout the area I attacked first so I wanna build up my academy to get scouts next. I hit the jackpot and won tons of food and stone so I have over 50k of both of that, but my lumber and now my iron is real low.
I kinda like how it has the little quests set up to guide you through building stuff. I'm gonna hold off on attacking anything for a bit though so I can get my resources together and upgrade a lot of stuff. I think my town hall is level 3 now and I just built some walls too.
Lord Zorathos - October 29, 2009 12:02 AM (GMT)
I started it toady but got really bored with it so i went and painted 3 wolves for my packs i can have on for 40k
Rakka da Konkorur - October 29, 2009 01:55 AM (GMT)
it's definitely a game meant to be played over a long time and for people that just check in a couple times a day.
Necros - October 29, 2009 01:39 PM (GMT)
I made my tax rate 100% last night then went to bed, in the morning my population was in the negative and I had 30% loyalty.. but a lot of money :) I was making 25k an hour for a while there. But now I dropped taxes down to 10% and they like me again and are making babies.
I went out and conquered some small grasslands nearby for extra food. My hero thats the mayor keeps getting xp I guess for just being the mayor, but my other one only gets it from fighting. is there any other way to have heros just automatically get xp?
On my map, there's 1 other player and it looks like they didn't do too much since their rep is so low. there's also about 5 other little towns from people with almost no rep at all, like they probably started playing then just never went back to the game. so is there no way at all to take over those spaces if they'e someone's home town even if they never log in again?
Lord Zorathos - October 29, 2009 02:22 PM (GMT)
I'm on server 9o also All I see is some one town named valhalla or something my bigest prob is not enough stone right now there is also a derlict castle at 7th lvl near me too
Necros - October 29, 2009 02:35 PM (GMT)
yeah I think the derelect castles are npcs and you can take them over. not sure what you get for it though. Eventually you can build scouts to go see what kind of army is stationed there, but then you also need to research Information so that your scout can scout better. There's so many things that depend on other things as you go.
the grasslands I took over were both level 2
I got in an alliance with some folks, that's one of the quests you get. One guy said you should have something like 2 farms & lumberyards for every 1 stone & iron mine. Just go out to the city view and build level 1 things in every spot to start cranking up the stuff you can bring in
Rakka da Konkorur - October 29, 2009 02:38 PM (GMT)
Attacking NPC's is for a little later in the game when you get Ballistas. For now I would just attack low level valley's..
Level 1 use 50 archers
Level 2 use 100
Level 3 use 200
Level 4 use 400
Hit those up and get medals to raise your rank and title. These allow you to build more cities.
Also build your walls and Archer Towers as soon as you can.
Rakka da Konkorur - October 29, 2009 02:39 PM (GMT)
Necros - October 29, 2009 03:02 PM (GMT)
Just archers? what about pike men or warriors and stuff like that?
Rakka da Konkorur - October 29, 2009 05:56 PM (GMT)
You can train them up...but that is the best way to attack valleys and to obtain medals from them. Medals are clutch in this game.
Necros - October 29, 2009 07:21 PM (GMT)
Oh I was thinking I need more of what's already there.. so like if my report says there's 100 warriors and 50 pikemen, I just need to send more of those same units into that space to capture it. So just keep making archers and skip all the others?
Ultramar - October 29, 2009 07:40 PM (GMT)
Wait did Al just say he painted something?!?

Lord Zorathos - October 30, 2009 11:03 PM (GMT)
YES I painted something its like I never painted anything ever!!!
not saying I'm gonna make a habit of this but got bored with the game might do some more in the future (its going to be a very bad winter sorry guys) :D
Tom whats your name in the game I've been going by Balin I'm on server 90 also at like 199,402 drop me a line
Necros - October 31, 2009 04:15 AM (GMT)
my city is 489,233
i have tons of little newbie towns around me where you can tell someone started playing and never came back so I'm hoping I can conquer them easy once my 7 day limit is up
Lord Zorathos - November 1, 2009 09:58 PM (GMT)
whens that?? mines i think on monday maybe it won't be til tuesday not sure
Necros - November 2, 2009 01:55 PM (GMT)
I think it lasts 7 days then people can attack you. I don't have anyone around me at all. tons of little towns from what looks like people that signed up and played for 10 minutes then quit. I'm gonna conquer em all!
Rakka da Konkorur - November 2, 2009 05:58 PM (GMT)
Just so you guys know, you can only conquer a certain amount of cities and at the beginning, you can really only have one city.
You have to go up in rank or title, look in the quests to see how you do this. I believe it's the Promotion Quests.
What you can do though is eventually scout the cities and attack them taking their resources.
Necros - November 2, 2009 06:54 PM (GMT)
one of those newbie cities vanished last night, and was replaced with a flat so I grabbed that and just started my 2nd city. Gonna use that to supply extra resources for my main one.
Lord Zorathos - November 2, 2009 08:19 PM (GMT)
I've grabed a bunch of spots but since i'm a newb I'm maxed at 4 but today is my last there was a bunch of citys near me but most have vanished once i up grade my town hall again I'm gonna grab one and start another city
I've had a bunch of alliance requests bot sure who to go to????? thinking of making my own??? wanna join????
Necros - November 2, 2009 09:34 PM (GMT)
I joined an alliance just for the quests but yeah if you wanna make one I'll join ya. if you want to move your city there's a ton of open space by me. All of those little towns that popped up are starting to vanish now. I guess the game gets rid of them if the people don't come back
Lord Zorathos - November 3, 2009 10:56 PM (GMT)
I joined warlord its still small only 8 at last countI think I might abbandon my 2nd town to slow
Necros - November 9, 2009 05:43 PM (GMT)
I'm doing pretty good now :) I got in a big alliance called Gryphon, they were all around me so I asked to join them so they didn't kill me. I have 3 towns now, my 1st is gonna have level 9 walls sometime tomorrow. I need 1 more medal to get my next promotion to get a 4th town. I have my 3 towns right next to each other up and down, and 2 npc cities next to me so if I capture them I'll have a little + shaped empire :)
I haven't really done much of an army though, i've been using all my resources to build stuff. I have about 2000 warriors and 3000 archers spread out among the 3 cities. After I get my new walls done I'll start working on raising up my barracks more
Lord Zorathos - November 9, 2009 07:05 PM (GMT)
I'm doing ok not as advanced as you but I really don't have anyone near me been doing a lot of research.
WilhelmRochRedDuke - November 10, 2009 03:59 AM (GMT)
I have two cities, a level 7 and a level 5
not much of an army to speak of..
trying to work on getting my economics better
Rakka da Konkorur - November 10, 2009 04:53 AM (GMT)
Hey guys,
I definitely recommend you start building Archer Towers and archers. Good that you got in alliances. Build you embassy up so you can house more of there troops if you are about to get attacked.
Lord Zorathos - November 10, 2009 01:40 PM (GMT)
swicthing alliances the one I'm in is small and far way there is a rather big one right at my front door
Necros - November 10, 2009 02:00 PM (GMT)
I have about 1000 archer towers on my main city but my other 2 are weak. I think I should have worked on getting my first built up stronger before branching off. oh well. I main city will have level 9 walls some time today :) took 45 hours :( I got level 9 informatics yesterday. At least with the 3 cities I can send gold home for the expensive research.
I spent $30 and got some coins, but I can't do that too often since it eats into my Warhammer budget :)
If you want a good alliance if you wanna teleport your city to thungria I bet I could get you into mine. They're one of the top 10 and any time one of us gets attacked they all destroy the other guy.
Lord Zorathos - November 13, 2009 01:58 AM (GMT)
in the next day or so im switching factions for one thats closer and lots and lots bigger
me and one of the members have been mailing back and forth alot they seem over all more talkative with each other and helpful
