I like all the changes I've been reading about a lot.. the only pet peeve I have with the real line of site is for some terrain especially woods we might use a green base with 2 or 3 trees on it to represent woods and it makes it real easy to see the boundries and move models around in em... but now you need to have a lot of actual tree models to have your woods.. and it's gonna be a pain to move stuff through there, especially models on bigger bases.

Thanks Sheck.

My new WD issue showed up yesterday. It included a copy of the new 40K Reference Sheet. I haven't read through it yet, but it looks like there's quite a bit on the new 40K edition in this issue. Should be interesting as always.

Considering the new focus seems to be on troops, my Deathguard are loving their nurgle-blessed lives even more. How many plaguemarines can I field? :)

As for the line-of-sight concerns, I suspect that there will still be some provision for terrain that blocks line of sight like woods, etc.

Tim,

In reading the pdf...the new sighting rules are really...if I can see you - you can see me.

And...

* Everything gets a cover save unless they are in the open

OR

* Unless players call 'something' as LOS blocking.

So I am not worried about our terrain as we can always 'call' a truelt thick wood, but of course that implies (to me) it might be dangerous rather than difficult terrain. If its dense enough to block sight...it is dense enough to be dangerous rather than difficult. :)

Deep Striking (as per the pdf edition):

- Same as old rule EXCEPT...a unit can SHOOT or RUN during the shooting phase...so you can MOVE after deepstriking but not assault.
