Alina bent to the side and scratched her leg. She sighed. The Anzeer Front Gates stood tall and closed in front of her. She didn't know what to do beyond coming up to the Gates. She had applied as a student here only a month ago and she found a letter in the mailbox of her old house just yesterday. It said something about her acceptance, bills, dorms, classes and some other stuff. She hadn't felt like reading the whole thing. As she stood there mentally rereading what she remembers of the letter, she rocked on her heals, twitched and pursed her mouth, and made faces. Finally, she got impatient and rolled her eyes. Do they not have guards posted at the Gates? Are the guards just too lazy to peek out once in a while to see if there a loose little girls and boy running around in their front lawn? She breathed in deeply and sighed slowly, then shouted, sort of meekly but louder as the sentence progressed, "Can someone help me? Hello? Is anyone there?"

He had to get to his classroom eventually to grade these papers he was holding. but he liked it outside and he didn't really anticipate sitting inside for a day to grade and sift through them. So instead her procrastinated by walking around the office buildings and winding down the various pathways of the school. but something told him that eventually he'd have to go and do those papers so he wouldn't spend all night working on them.
Laurence heard a little noise while passing the gates on the way to the class rooms. Probably another one of the children. Shifting the papers he held in his arms he turned and headed toward that gate. Seems he'd be procrastinating a little longer. A little girl was standing in front of it, presumably the one who had said, albeit shouted, something. "You need help?" he responded, in English, approaching the child. "No-one said you had to stand around the gates when you arrived." She spoke English, American probably. He stood there looking down at her, and pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose. |

What a tall man, Alina thought as Lauren approached her. "Yes, I do need help sir. No, no one told me that. I'm new, sir." This guy had an overwhelming aura of power. She didn't have stage fright, but in being looked at by him, she began to feel uneasy and tensed.

"Alright," he said, "Lets see if we can't get you somewhere. Got a schedule, or something. If you don't I can take you to the office to go get one." He didn't much notice her reaction to him approaching and behaved as he usually did. "I'm the biology teacher at this school."

Evelien, doing a normal stroll around the school as she usually did on tiring days such as these, made her way slowly to the gates, at first not noticing the two. She yawned; Sleeping wasn't her best skill, she was somewhat of an insomniac. So usually, to replace the time usually spent sleeping, Evelien usually spent her hours roaming about in deep thought and got a few hours in here and there. Her body had adapted to it by this time.
As she came closer to the gates, she began to recognize her old friend, Laurence. The brunette tilted her head to the side a bit. What was he doing? Was that a new student she saw? Evelien began to speed her pace, and finally got to the two. They were clearly speaking english. "Hello there," she greeted him, then setting her eyes on the young girl. "Who is this? A new student?" She surely didn't seem dutch, and since the last encounter with a new student entering the gates, she decided to speak english. She really wasn't in the mood for a language squabble. It wouldn't hurt, this once. |

Alina looked down at her feet, "Um, yes, please if you don't mind. I do not have one yet." She didn't see Evelien approach but she heard her. She gulped and looked up. Evelien didn't loook as intimidating as Laurence. Alina smiled at her.
