Skye walked out the front door of her house. Her blonde hair was pulled back tightly into a ponytail which hung out the back of a black Calgary Flames cap. And on her face was a pair of sunglasses. She wore a red tank top that ended about an inch about the waistline of her black shorts, and on her feet were red and black polka dotted flip flops. Although the sun shone brightly in the sky, the only reason she wore the sunglasses was to hide her identity. She may not be in LA any longer, but even here the paparazzi were just around the corner, and she didn’t want to be photographed unless she looked her absolute best.

As far as she knew, not a soul in the world knew where she was right then. Not even her personal assistant nor her manager. She had wanted to get away from that life for a while. After her last movie where she had made double what she had saved in the bank she had felt she deserved a nice vacation. Perhaps even one that lasted an entire year. She didn’t worry that being away from the scene for so long would mean the lose of her name. She doubted that even a year would erase all she had worked towards. Look at Britney Spears! She was out of the industry for years, and even now she was the talk of the town. Though ending up like her was the last thing Skye wanted. Divorced twice with two kids and a drug problem? No thank you!

Just the thought of having to raise a kid sent a shiver down her spine. Though she knew the pathetic soul who had inhabited this body before Skye had claimed it had wanted kids. Too late now! If the girl had only had kids before Skye had found her, she would have been passed over in search of a better body. And she hadn’t even done anything with this body. She had been working at some fast food restaurant trying to make money to go to school. It had taken Skye barely two years to make a name for herself. She knew how to work the looks. She had been doing it for year.

But today was just for shopping. She didn’t have any other responsibilities that she had to think about. It didn’t matter that she had an entire walk in closet full of clothes. All of it was outdated. She hadn’t visited this house in years. In fact, she had bought this house not with the money she had made from being an actress in this body, but two hosts before when she had been a model, though nowhere near as famous as she was now. As she had always known, being an actress was much better for fame than being a model.

Skye gave a sigh as she stepped onto the street that held the market place. She loved it here, but always missed LA and its prestigious shopping district. But this place wasn’t so bad. It had a few shops that held things that weren’t completely hopeless. And she usually found a gem or two that no one back home had. It made shopping here more than worth it in her opinion. With that thought she pulled open the door to one of the small clothing shops on the street and stepped inside.

Jinn never had a good control over his impulses. While he was a professional soccer star, he'd bought so many cars and houses and other things that he had indulged all too easily and had wished for a better one. And now, he was paying for his selfish deeds. Deeds and habits which were proving difficult to break. But he was trying. Well, if you counted trying as driving a 2006 ferrari p4 through town, causing heads to turn. Yes, Jinn really did love to show off. And this firetruck red car was only one of his few cars.

Jinn pulled the car quickly into a parking space on the road. He killed the engine and grinned. He may have been injured, but that didn't stop him from LOVING his cars and going fast and all the rest of the danger among them. Jinn climbed out of the door and patted his car affectionately, as if it was a pet or a friend. He pushed the button on the car and it locked. You could never be too safe, but then again, all he had to do was wish to catch the SOB that decided to steal it, and his car would be back to him. Yes, to others, Jinn really did have good luck.

Jinn placed the bottom of his cane on the ground and began walking. It made him look more elegant then handicap, but there wasn't really a way to not appear like he was limping slightly, because he was. Jinn couldn't prevent that. He walked onto the side walk and peered through a window. Inside, he saw a beautiful blonde inside. Checking his appearance in the glass, he made sure he looked good, then placed his sunglasses over his eyes and continued to watch the girl until she noticed. When she did, he waved at her, rather cutely, through the window. He didn't know her, but he wanted to.

Skye picked up a shirt that had been neatly folded on the table in front of her and stared at it in disgust. She simply couldn’t figure out this design. Cap sleeves and a neckline that showed nothing. Yuck. Who would buy this kind of thing?

Even as she thought that thought a fat brunette walked up to the table and started admiring the disgusting rag. Skye nearly gagged. She could imagine the chit in this shirt. No doubt the hem wouldn’t quite reach her pants, which normally would be exactly what you would want to happen, but she definitely didn’t want to see anything that this girl was hiding. The sleeves would no doubt be too tight and whatever fat the girl was hiding under the ill fitted sweater would be right there for the public to see. Gross. This was exactly why she liked LA shops better than anything here. No fat, ugly girls with absolutely no taste.

Not wanting to draw any attention to herself, but only because she was on vacation, she didn’t actually say anything to the ugly girl about to make one of the biggest fashion mistakes in her life, and instead made her way over to a rack carrying much more interesting shirts. She left the table a disaster, having looked at every shirt in every color and size. It was the job of the sales girl to clean up after her. And she so relished the glares she generally got from them as they refolded tables.

Her attention was pulled away from the fuming female, however, when she caught sight of one of the best shirts she had ever come across. One of those hidden gems that made trips to places such as these worth it.

Bright in color, the orange shirt would hug a girl right where it mattered, and flare at all the right spots, so as to leave some things to the imagination. Worn with a tight black skit and a cute belt, this shirt was more than worthy of her time. A quick check of the tag left her with a smile on her face. Perfect. The right size.

With a turn she started looking at some of the skirts she had noticed before the shirt had caught her attention. And then she saw him. Standing outside staring at her. As though he was the most important person in the world and she should feel lucky that he was looking at her at all. But he was cute. She would give him that. Hot, in fact. Definitely someone she could see herself having a little fun with.

Her mouth twitched when he waved at her like that. But all she did was raise an eyebrow at him. And invitation. Or a challenge. Was he willing to come inside just to find out who she was? She couldn’t wait to find out if he would play with her.

Jinn was actually amused by the way the girl had looked at the brown haired girl. For a moment, she focused on the thoughts of the bigger girl. She had many wishes. Jinn felt like being nice. He listened for one that he could easily grant. I wish that I could look great in something like this, maybe I will if I just buy it. I could lose the weight for it he heard an echo in his mind. The girl wanted to be skinnier. Easy. He granted her wish, but with a restriction. He was going to take the weight off slowly. He granted her the wish in a faster amount then it really would have been possible to take the weight off, but without someone suspecting a thing.

Under his sunglasses, he turned back to the blond and noticed her expression from his wave. He found it cute but a little annoying. Weren't girls supposed to come to him after seeing him? That usually happened. This one was obviously a little overconfident. It was cute. He like confidence in a girl, especially an attractive one. Jinn contemplated what to do. Should he go inside? But why, it was a girly store. He thought about it and smirked.

Jinn glanced at the OPEN and hours sign of the store. Lucky for him, the phone number was on it. He pulled out his phone as he continued to peer at the blond through his sunglasses. He dialed the number and placed the phone to his ear. The phone inside the store rang and the clerk picked it up. After a minute of talking, the clerk called at the blond, holding out the phone towards her.

"That guy outside told me to tell you that he thinks you should get that shirt but take the black skirt, and then wear it on your date tonight. He also told me to hand you the phone."

On the other side of the window, Jinn pulled the sunglasses down from his eyes a little and looked at her with his actual blue eyes, continuing the smirk on his face. It was definitely an original idea. And he wasn't about to give up. She was too interesting. If he didn't get a phone number out of this, he would hang his head in shame.

Still contemplating the skirts, Skye was more than surprised when the sales girl who had been glaring at her earlier tried to hand her the phone. Her first reaction was to look down at the skirt in her hand. A red number that attracting all the wrong kind of attention. Did he honestly think she was thinking about getting this to wear with the bright orange shirt? An adjustment of her sunglasses and she looked out at him once more, a phone plastered to his head while he stared at her.

She sent him a smile and took the cordless phone from the girl. But she didn’t talk into it. Instead she glanced at the number and hung up, then gave it back to the girl. She sent the guy outside a quick smile as she moved to another clothing rack and discreetly pulled out her own cell phone and dialed the number she had looked at, letting the phone ring.

It had been awhile since she had had anybody pursue her in this fashion. Most likely it was because he hadn’t figured out who she was yet. Or that she was even anybody important.

Rummaging through this newest rack, Skye came out with the most atrocious shirt. Worse than the table. It was green. Not a nice green. More like a puke green. It had a low neckline, but it was simply covered in ruffles. The sleeves were long and ended in a bell, with the cuff tight, but the material directly above it lose.

A laugh nearly tumbled out as she considered going over to the fat brunette and telling her that she thought she would look absolutely adorable in this shirt. No doubt the girl would be so grateful she would buy it in an instant. And it wouldn’t be until she got home that she would realize what, exactly had happened.

She would have done it, but the phone that had been ringing in her ear was finally answered, and it pulled her attention away from her cruelty of the moment.

“I don’t use phones that others use.” She told him simply into the phone. Then she turned towards him and held up the green shirt. “Now, I wasn’t aware that I had a date tonight. I’m saving the orange shirt for a special event, but since you’re so eager, I’ll show you what I’ll be wearing. What do you think of this?”

Jinn watched the girl with interest. She was not like many of the girls he flirted with. She had spice. There was something about her. Her independent way of handling things was rather refreshing. He watched as she hung up the phone on him. He crinkled his eyebrows as he looked down at his disconnected phone, blinking with the store's number on it before clearing the screen.

Jinn looked back up at her to catch the end of her smile as she moved over to another rack. He held his phone absently as he thought about what next he could do. He was trying to be creative and she was shooting him down. He thought about walking out to his car, and laying across it with his shirt off, wondering if she would come out just to see what he was doing. But he decided against it.

Jinn watched her curiously through the window, feeling similar to a stalker as the blond moved to a rack and pulled out one of the most ugliest shirts in the world. He cringed a little, not caring if she saw or not. And she hadn't. He watched and then realized his phone was ringing in his hand. He looked down at it, curious as to whom was calling him and why, and noticed it was a new number. Deciding to go for it, he opened it back up and greeted the person on the other side.

Jinn's eyes snapped to the blond as he realized it was her. Her voice was nice. He couldn't help but smirk a little proudly. "That's why I am here, to remind you," he joked with her and looked at the phone. She was kidding right? He wasn't entirely sure. "And if you wear that, then you can forget about riding in that," Jinn replied and pointed off to the side of the shop where his beautiful ferrari was parked. He then turned back to the blond and placed his sunglasses on the top of his head, peering at her with his beautiful blue eyes. "I don't take girls with bad clothing tastes out."

Skye’s eyebrow quirked as he told her that he was reminding her of their date. As though they had already met and arranged a date. He was different than most of the guys that she met. Self assured and confident. As if he was all important and knew everything there was to know about her. She wouldn’t be surprised if he had been famous at one point, though she had no idea who he was. Most likely some sports star who had been injured. His cane, though he tried to wear it simply as a fashion statement, was a giveaway for an injury.

“Well I’m glad you called!” She said in a facetious matter. “I have had such a bad memory these days, I would lose my head if it weren’t attached to my body.” She was definitely interested in him. Confidence was always something that she respected. Even if most of the people in LA were simply brimming in it. Most of them had the worst insecurities in the world. The tiniest bit of fat showed up anywhere on their body and their lives became nothing more than not eating and exercising until that little bit of fat, plus at least ten pounds more. Until they looked unhealthy. It was disgusting. The right amount of exercising and you could eat pretty much anything you wanted.

She glanced at the shirt in her hand, staring at it for a second, then looked back out at him, an amused look on her face. “Ugly?” She said, her voice sounding hurt. But the smile on her face completely ruined the effect she was going for. A glance at the car he pointed out and Skye could help but be impressed. Not many people could claim they owned a 2006 ferrari p4. They were amazing cars. And Skye couldn’t help but think that the man had more than that one car in his possession.

“I can see why. That is one impressive car you have there. You are correct. I wouldn’t want to have someone in this shirt in that car. They wouldn’t match at all!” The shirt was placed back on the rack quickly. “So, in light of our date tonight, perhaps I will wear this shirt after all.” The lifted the orange shirt to indicate that she meant that one. “But the rest of the outfit is a surprise. You wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise now, would you?”

Jinn was having far too much fun with this girl on the phone. At least she was being a sport about it and actually going along with it. He wouldn't have been pleased if she had denied him a date. Of course, he would get over it and find someone else to go on a date with. It was her problem, not his. He knew he was good looking and it wouldn't be hard to find a replacement. He much rather preferred to go with the blond though. Jinn smirked as she talked about having a bad memory these days and how she would lose her head.

"Well we wouldn't want that," she replied playfully with the part of losing her head. He then watched her as she glanced at the shirt and asked 'ugly'. He nodded, as if saying it was true, and it was. He wouldn't take her out in a shirt like that. Jinn often made a date change. It annoyed him if a girl didn't have a good fashion sense. It was embarrassing to be seen with a girl that had no intuition with clothes. Jinn would often wish her to have fashion sense. He had even done it one time to a struggling designer he'd been dating, and now, she was part of a company with a trademark and everything. Of course, she broke up with him, the consequence of wishing selfishly. It had been rather nasty too. The media had loved it.

"Exactly," he acted out, as if he was glad she saw the connection. When really, he just didn't want to see her in that ugly shirt. He watched her with a smirk across his face the entire time. He watched her with the sexy orange shirt she had. Orange could definitely play off well with the car. But then again, maybe he would take another car out with her, surprise her. AS she said the rest of the outfit was a surprise, he fakely pouted. He nodded.

"Of course I want to ruin the surprise. You would look sexy and I'm eager to see you," he replied to her and then grinned. "I'm Jinn, by the way."

Skye was more than certain that Jinn, as he had introduced himself, had absolutely no idea that the person he was talking so casually to was, in fact, a movie star. Though she doubted it would make much of a difference to him. He seemed the type to believe that he deserved to be going on dates with celebrities. And he was hot. Enough so that most of the women in her group would be drooling to see him on her arm. That was enough by itself to make Skye want to go on this date. Making the other girls of LA jealous was practically a full time job all on its own.

A smile twitched at her lips when he nodded so solemnly to her question about whether or not it was ugly. He looked so serious. And she didn’t doubt what he said about not dating girls with bad fashion sense. But he didn’t have to worry about that from her. She was a trendsetter. She wasn’t about to walk around in some ugly shirt. Well, she wasn’t unless she was trying to set a trend just for her own amusement. Sometimes she found it funny to see people wearing the most horrifying shirt simply because some magazine had photographed her in it.

When he commented that he wanted to ruin the surprise, Skye shook her head. “No you don’t. I like surprises. They’re so much more fun than planning out every last detail, don’t you think?”

She moved to another rack and pulled out a black skirt that would hug her hip then flair to an end just above her knees. It was cute. And it would go well with the shirt she had bought, but it wasn’t the skirt she was planning on wearing that night. She already knew the exact one that she wanted to wear. It was at home sitting in one of her closets having not been worn in at least two months. Skye never wore the same skirt or shirt any closer together than a month. Generally closer to two. She couldn’t constantly be photographed wearing the same clothes, now could she?

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Jinn.” She said, glancing back out at him once more. “But I’m afraid I can’t give you my name until tonight. I prefer to remain the mysterious blonde from the clothing shop. Everybody needs a good mystery every now and then.”

Jinn heard her talk about surprises and shook his head. True, he liked surprises, but he was too eager to know what she was going to wear for him. He wanted their date to start already. He shook his head at her. "I was never one for surprises," he replied to her. He laughed. "Okay I do like them, they are fun, but you're teasing me, and you know it." Jinn's eyes watched her with a smile on his face. He recognized her face at that moment. She was an actress. 'Figures' he thought to himself and watched her move to another rack. Just because she was an actress doesn't mean that he was just going to stop and call off the date. Actually, it would be better. Hopefully she wasn't going to be followed by a million photographers though. He looked around and saw nobody. Did they not know the infamous actress was in the town? He pondered the thought.

When she didn't give him her name, he chuckled. "I'm just going to give you a name then.." he thought about it and decided to be cruel. "Gertrude? Agnes? Milicent?" He chuckled. "I'm going to give you a whole new life then. Because I don't like being teased with mystery. So let's see, you were once a fat fat fat girl that went away to camp and then your parents finally paid for you to have surgery and then, you dyed your hair and got a few other surgeries. And now, you taunt men you wouldn't have ever got before." He stopped and winked at her.

With a laugh Skye made her way up to the checkout counter to pay for the few articles of clothing she had found that weren’t completely hopeless. Though they would be original in LA. That made the entire trip worth it. Plus she had managed to snag a date with an incredibly hot guy. And, though she doubted it considering all he had put himself through just to get the date, if he turned out to be completely boring, she could just kill him at the end of the night. It would be perfect. “Of course you like surprises. I doubt very much that a guy who would call a store to talk to a patron wouldn’t enjoy spontaneity.”

At his accusation of her teasing him, she looked out the window and threw him a pouting look. “Teasing? Well that’s not very nice of you to say. I prefer to think of it as keeping an air of mystery. I wouldn’t want you to lose all of you interest already, now would I?” Pulling out a couple of bills from her wallet, she waited rather impatiently for her change. Normally she would simply throw it onto her credit card. But to do that would be to invite the sales girl to know her name. And the last thing she wanted was some screaming girl begging for an autograph. She just wanted to pay and get out of there.

Finally, change in her wallet and bag of clothes in hand, she made her way out of the store, sliding closed her phone as she did so. They didn’t need to talk on the phone anymore.

“Ouch.” She said from only a few feet away from him. “I suddenly feel like I should be sixty years old and have had at least one go under the cosmetic knife.” She said jokingly. “And out here picking up young fellows like yourself in the vain hope of adding meaning to the end of my meaningless life.” She gave a shake of her head. “Tell you what, for now, you can call me Azura.”

Of course, no one knew her by her first name. She had always scorned it. It was unusual, so she didn’t have to worry about half the world having the same name as her. But it wasn’t nice either. She felt like a flower or something. Gross.

Jinn felt like a stalker as he watched the girl through the window. But he then reasoned that it wasn't stalking because she knew he was there and was even talking to him. That made him feel better. He wouldn't have minded much otherwise. He laughed at the blond's comment about him liking surprises because he wouldn't have called the way he did, otherwise. He had to admit that she had a point. He shrugged cutely, showing her that she was valid in her thinking.

Jinn listened as she joked and pouted. He crossed one arm over his chest and held the other that was holding his phone to his ear. He made sure to keep an eye on her as he moved to part of the window and leaned against it. Jinn couldn't help but laugh, almost a bellowing laugh, as she spoke about feeling sixty. He shrugged cutely. What else could he say? He had to give her a nasty name, it generally concluded with an actual name to call her by. He felt like playing along and telling he was probably older then she thought he was, but he didn't want to go letting that cat out of the bag any time soon. He was far too long. This would have been considered beyond disgusting and unreal if someone knew both their ages.

"First off," he started with a smirk. "Your meaning of life would be to find me. And second, it's nice to meet you Azura. Exotic name. I like it," of course, he himself had a pretty rare name too. That's why he liked it. He couldn't see her as something boring like Amanda. "So Azzy," he nicknamed her and made sure to keep an eye on her expression when she heard it. "Is there anything specific you wanted for the date? Clothes? Things to do? Places to eat?"

Skye couldn’t help but laugh at his little grin. As if he was saying ‘guilty’ to her comment about how he secretly liked surprises. He was cute. And something about him didn’t actually speak of normal boring human. Even the rich humans seemed to be concerned over the most mundane things. The last date she had gone on had actually spent the entire time regaling her with yawningly boring stories of how he had just spent the last year working his way to the management level of some company when he didn’t have to because he had more than enough money simply so that he could buy them out easier.

She had done what she always did with dates that bored her. She took him home. In other words, he had died a breathtakingly spectacular death at her hands. Needless to say, he was never going to bore someone mindless on their first date again. In her opinion she was doing a favor to all woman kind. Though she didn’t always go on dates with her victims. Sometimes she was just feeling the urge to kill.

His comment on how it was her meaning in life to meet him had her rolling her eyes. That had to be one of the most tacky pick up lines ever. And yet she wasn’t completely turned off by it. In fact, it almost made her giggle. Which then made her think that maybe she was spending too much time with the humans. Something like that actually making her giggle was new.

“Well I’m glad that I managed to meet you, then, while I was so young. Just think! A while life ahead of me and my purpose already fulfilled? I no longer need to even worry about the future. I can simply do what I please!”

When he asked what she wished to do, the paused to think. Going out on the town could be fun, but it also mean complications. She, for one, didn’t feel the urge to be chased by photographers all night. And she doubted that he wanted to either. But then an idea occurred to her. “Actually,” She started, ignoring the nickname. She didn’t mind. Azura wasn’t even the name she went by, so why not have a nickname. “I do have an idea. How would you like to come to my place?”
