Skye sat in her car staring at the red light that was currently keeping her from racing ahead. She didn’t necessarily have anywhere she absolutely needed to be, of course, but being stuck at a red light still wasn’t ideal. And considering the fact that it was the fourth red light in a row that she had managed to hit, she was feeling understandably frustrated. Add to that the fact that she had forgotten her sunglasses at home and the car beside her currently had people snapping pictures and the result was one extremely pissed off movie star.
The guy in the car next to her started rolling down his window, obviously in an attempt to talk to her. She just couldn’t deal with it anymore. A single though from her had the light changed instantly to green and off she went. The guys tried to chase her down, but she had already rounded two corners and watched in her rearview mirror as they sped past. How annoying. She simply wasn’t in the mood for fans falling all over her.
With a sigh she parked the car and got out, leaning against the side and looking around. She had never been around here before. But there was a cute little coffee shop practically right in front of her. It didn’t look to be too busy inside. And, if she was lucky, she might not even be recognized. Or simply dismissed as a look alike. Though her luck hadn’t exactly been very good so far. Add to that the fact that she hadn’t managed a single kill since being here, and moody was putting it lightly.
A bell jangled happily as she opened the door, and she threw a quick glare at it. Then she glanced at the menu. She ordered what seemed to be a chocolaty frozen drink and chose a seat while she awaited the arrival of her drink. From her purse she pulled out two folders. Scripts. Her manager had, of course, found her. Despite all of her efforts to drop off of the map, here she was reading more scripts for more parts. Though it wasn’t all bad. Skye had been specifically requested for these parts. Which meant no auditions for her. It was her decision entirely whether she was in these movies or not.
Just as her drink made it to the table, Skye opened the first script and started reading, trying to imagine herself in the role.

All right, so maybe the little trip he had planned wasn't going as well as he had planned. Lucien had wanted to just take a little walk. But no, no, no! Nothing ever worked out the way he wanted. So here he was, walking the street alone covered in mud and dripping wet. And it wasn't even raining! His hands, feminine looking but strong nonetheless, were shoved deeply into his front pockets. A scowl formed on his normally pretty lips. Now they were turned downward, making him looking very disheveld. Not that he cared. He was in a sour mood, which did not happen often, and it showed.
He wasn't even sure it had rained last night. But it obviously had, for there were puddles everywhere lining the streets. And Lucien had just happened to be walking those streets idly, when a large truck full of angry teenage men swooped by. SPLAT! The tires of the truck slid sideways through the mud puddle, showering Lucien in dirty wetness. And several unkind words were heard from the boys, but Lucien hadn't heard those. He didn't care what they said. He never did.
Passing by the coffee shop, Lucien glanced in the window. Better dry off here. He was known in this place, the people were kind to him. Just what he needed right now. As he entered, several female voices shouted to him. Lucien forced a smile, nodding his head to them. Girls. What a pain. He loved them, he hated them...he couldn't make up his mind. Then again, he was such a hopeless romantic that he fell in love with a pretty face right away, be it male or female.
A towel was tossed to him, and he took it thankfully. He pushed his way past several people to find a seat, but saw the only remotely hidden one was already preoccupied by a rather attractive female. She seemed to be reading something, and he didn't want to bother her. Another thing that went wrong. As Lucien went to move behind her, someone shoved him rather hard on accident. Without a warning, the male toppled into the female's lap. He blushed deeply, realizing the mud on the front of his shirt had stained the front of hers.

It was horrible. The worst script she had ever read in her entire life. Was this really all she was worth. All she had worked towards? A crappy script that she would have never read for in the first place. All of it combined made her want to cry. Another sip of her drink had her realizing that she had already finished it, so she ordered another one from on of the waitresses walking by. In minutes a new one was in front of her. She slammed shut the first folder and pulled the second towards her. If this one was as horrible as the first she might have to kill herself. Which actually amounted to killing her host and then having to look for a new one. Probably not the best idea she had ever had.
The second script started out alright. A little slow, but slow she could deal with. As long as there was something there. Anything, really, to keep the attention of the audience. Truthfully, even a good script could end up garbage. But at least it wasn’t bad from the get go.
As she continued to read, though, her hopes began to soar. It was good. Not amazing, but good. As good as any of the movies she had been in previously. Maybe even better than some of them. And they had called her! They wanted her for that part!
She was so engrossed in the script in front of her that she didn’t even hear the happy jangle of the chimes indicating that yet another customer had entered the tiny shop. Not that she would have actually looked had she even heard the bells. She had never been the curious type, wanting to know every one who stepped foot in the places she was in. She would rather do anything than look like she actually cared about the people around her.
Unfortunately she was forced to pay attention to him when he landed directly in her lap. And, as he was covered in mud, her shirt now was too. Her white shirt. That she had just bought barely the week before. The one she had been so excited to find in that tiny little store she had found. The one that was now completely ruined. And how was she supposed to get home when she looked like she had taken a nose dive directly into a pile of mud. It was the last straw. Her temper flared.
“What the hell!” She practically yelled, her eyes glaring at him angrily. “Get off of me you idiot! Look at this shirt. Do you have any idea how much it cost? You’ve ruined it!”

Lucien quickly scrambled up from the woman, blinking quietly and saying nothing. He was shocked he had fallen into her. What a klutz he was! He felt bad enough from falling into her, but her demeaning words only added to his already climbing amount of misery. "I'm sorry!" he cried, blinking in shock as she screamed at him. Several heads turned in their direction. Lovely, all he needed at the moment. "I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to!" Tears lined his cream colored brown eyes. He looked around for something to wipe her off with, but quickly decided not too. If he tried, he would only spread the stain further.
She was right, though. The shirt looked expensive, and he had ruined it. "I'll pay for it! I'll give you the money. Oh please forgive me, really I didn't mean to!" He quickly pulled out his leather wallet from his back pocket, and began to randomly draw out the bills he had in there. It wasn't much, seeing as he hadn't worked much that week, but there was a hundred dollar bill he had thrown into her lap. He wasn't rich, but he was well off enough not to have to worry about the minor things in life. His father had wisely invested their money when he was little, and now they were living in a well to do manor. Well, they did. Lucien didn't. Actually, Lucien, Rosalie, and Lorna had moved out. It was his younger siblings that still remained there.
Stuffing his now empty wallet back into his pocket, Lucien tried to force another smile. It didn't work so well. "Miss I'm really really sorry. I'm a klutz and I didn't mean to ruin it. I tripped," tripped, yeah...more like was shoved into her. A lot of people picked on him because of his femininity. So he was a bit girly looking. So he liked to wear makeup and dress nice. So he spent more time on his hair than sleeping. So what? He liked his looks, and no one would tell him any different.
A few tears fell from his eyes and dripped onto his seemingly perfect skinned cheeks. He bowed his head to her, his cheeks flushed a deep pink as he stood there ashamed.

She could feel a headache coming on. One that wasn’t going to go away anytime soon . And she hated when she got headaches. They put her in a grumpy mood. And she was never nice when she was in grumpy moods. And while she normally didn’t care about what others thought of her, she was currently in public. Without her glasses. Most likely at least one person had recognized her in this place. If she kept up the yelling, there would be news crews here in ten seconds flat. Though she had no idea how they always managed that. To get to a scene quicker than even the police. It was a truly remarkable gift.
So Skye took a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down. She may have been having a bad day, but it seemed as though he was too. How did he manage to look like he had been splashed by a mud puddle when the sky was such a clear blue? She only had one guess. That it had been deliberate. And not on his part. She, of course, had never really been the victim of bullies. But something about it struck a cord with her. She tried to rid herself of the feeling, but compassion had creeped up on her. And now she had to actually be nice. Sometimes she hated being stuck in a human’s body.
With a sigh she picked up the money he had thrown into her lap. Most likely in an effort to repay her for the shirt. But she didn’t need his money to replace it. The now ruined white blouse had probably been one of the least expensive articles of clothing she had ever purchased. It had just been an excuse to start yelling and try to relieve some of the anger that she had felt building up inside.
“Look, I’m sorry, alright?” She said on another sigh, holding out the money for him to take back. “I don’t need the money to replace the shirt. It wasn’t very expensive, and even if it were, most days I wouldn’t bat an eye at buying more clothes. So, please, take back the money, okay?”
Then she patted the chair beside her. She hated being nice. But she would do practically anything to keep up appearances in the public’s eye. “Come on. Sit down. I’ll buy you a coffee or something. You don’t look too warm, soaked as you are. Maybe you could tell me what happened that started the chain of events that ended with me looking like I was dragged through the mud. Literally.”

Lucien watched nervously as she took a couple of deep breaths. For a moment he thought she was going to slap him. Instinctively, Lucien stepped back an foot, so in case she decided to, he would not be within reach of her hand. Maybe he was a bit of a girl when it came to that. So he would rather not be hit, so what? He didn't like fights, at all, with a man or woman. And fighting with a woman was dangerous. They hurt, and not just physically. He cringed as she seemed to relax, hesitating to step forward again. He could always telekinetically push her away, but he didn't want to. Especially in a public setting. He was hush-hush when it came to his...skill? Gift? He hadn't quite decided on that yet.
As she apologized, he quirked a brow. She was saying sorry...for something he had done? Now he was confused. He licked his lips, rubbing the back of his neck with his right hand. "Are you sure?" he questioned as she extended her hand to return his money. After her explanation, he nodded and took it back, shoving it in his front left pocket.
Hesitantly, he took the seat she had patted for him, and scooted away from her a bit. He still didn't quite know her intentions, and he was planning on playing nice for the time being. "Buy me a coffee? I'll just spill that on you too," he hissed, mainly to himself, scolding himself mentally for being such an idiot.
Lucien dusted his knees off idly, taking a deep breath. "Well all right. It's just been a messed up day," he admitted, the corners of his lips tugging down to form a frown. "I just wanted to take a walk, is all. But when I went on the street this big truck came up, and splashed a puddle on me. I got covered in it. They yelled something at me, but I didn't hear it. Good thing, I guess, since I'm sure it wasn't very nice. So I came in here to dry off a bit. It's cold out there," he explained, nodding his head to the window. It was a bit chilly out there, in the cool night air. But he liked it, sometimes. Not this evening though.

The last thing in the entire world Skye cared about was the misfortune of some guy that had ruined her outfit. She was so bored, in fact, that she wasn’t even listening to the guy who had sat down across from her. She looked around for the waitress, who wasn’t too far off. She seemed to be snickering in their direction. If Skye had to guess, the reason for the laughter was probably the site of her with mud all down her front.
Though her eyes narrowed in anger, she tried to stay calm. She hated this place. Why had she even bothered to leave the house. It had been a stupid idea on her part. She should have just stayed inside, wrapped in a cocoon of covers while she had read the latest scripts. Which she shouldn’t even have to read. She was on vacation for crying out loud! Reading scripts fell under the ‘work’ category. And ‘vacation’ was clearly defined as a break from work. But not her. Oh, no. Skye got to bring her work with her. At least she wasn’t shooting a movie or anything.
Her focus snapped back to what was going on around her as a drink was placed in front of the guy that she already hated just for disturbing her day. More than anything she just wanted to tell the guy that he was an idiot and stop letting people push him around or he was just going to end up some useless wimp who hadn’t done anything in his life. Unfortunately, most people considered that rude. And the instant she got rude, the camera’s always seemed to appear. It was miraculous, really. Her manager had practically whipped her the last time an article about how high and mighty she was had managed to make a two page spread in one of those stupid gossip magazines.
So she pasted a smile on her face, though she had no idea what he had been talking about. Catching only something about how it was cold outside. She seriously hoped he hadn’t talked about the weather the entire time. But that wouldn’t make sense. She had told him to tell her what had happened. Best bet, he had. And from the depressed look on his face, she was willing to bet it wasn’t exactly a fairytale ending.
“Sounds like you haven’t had the greatest of days.” She commented, taking the chance. “Maybe having a cup of coffee with me is just what you need.”

He had a feeling she wasn't paying much attention to him, and he was okay with that. After all, he had ruined her pretty shirt, and she was obviously not in a good mood in the first place. Lucien looked up at her for a moment, and frowned. He had seen her somewhere before...but he couldn't quite place it. Maybe passing glances on the street or something. He wasn't sure, and he would feel like a fool asking if they had met before. If they had, he was sure she would have remembered him. He was a bit hard to forget in the first place.
A glass landed in front of him, and he took it in his hands gratefully. The warmth it gave, even thought it was little, warmed up his hands enough to be comfortable. He smiled, taking a small drink from the hot liquid inside. It scalded his tongue on the way down, but he didn't mind it. It felt nice, actually. Better than the cold mud clinging to his skin. He placed the cup back on the table, rubbing his hands after to keep the warmth in them.
If this lady was busy, Lucien really didn't want to bother her. She had been reading something, and that something looked like a big stack of text that he would lose his mind if he were to read it. He thought about leaving, but the smile plastered on the woman's face made him stay. Maybe she wasn't so bad as he had thought. Not all women were a pain in the ass. Lucien couldn't much handle them at times. He liked them, yes he did, but when they liked him in return.
Nodding, Lucien smiled back at her. The smile looked fake on her face, so he decided to make this short. "Well," he began, "a cup of coffee with a beautiful woman is always a good thing." He meant it. Though Lucien wasn't normally attracted to blonds, she was a pretty one, he had to admit. Minus the something in her eyes that made him cringe, as if deep down she had a bit of darkness inside her. Lucien definitely didn't want to bring that out.

Again Skye’s attention drifted away from the person sitting across from her. He was truly boring, in her opinion. The only person currently in the room that she found in the least interesting was the couple in the corner. They weren’t exactly holding hands and making puppy eyes at each other. She looked shocked. As if she didn’t believe that she could actually be hearing the words that were coming out of his mouth. If she had to guess, she would definitely put her money on them breaking up. And in such a public place. Most likely his vain attempt at trying to get her to not make a scene. But Skye was hoping beyond hope that she didn’t give into his plan. She would love nothing more than a nice entertaining scene.
She glanced back at Lucien as the drink was served to him. His hands wrapped around it so tightly one would think he had never felt the warmth of a cup of coffee against his hand before. From what she could tell so far he was one to make everything into a drama. What was so dramatic about being splashed with water, anyway? It had never happened to her, of course. It was rather impossible to get splashed with water when one was inside the car that was doing the splashing. No need to put up a fuss. She didn’t even dwell on the thought that, if she were in his position, she would put his tiny bit of drama to shame with her hysterics.
But her eyes were inevitably drawn back to the couple in the corner as the voices started to raise. A smile slipped over her face as she realized that she was about to get the entertainment she had so been desiring. The guy was sitting back in his chair staring at the girl like she had just grown a second head. Most likely she had been the sweetest angel while they were dating. Obviously he had never heard the saying ‘Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned’. If he had, it wouldn’t be such a shock that an angel could transform into a harpy simply by breaking it off with her.
The scene was so entertaining that Skye nearly missed the compliment Lucien paid her. And that was not something that happened very often. She loved it when men complimented her beauty. What a waste it would have been had she been so distracted that she had missed one.
“Isn’t it just?” She asked, not one to be demure. She knew she was beautiful, and modesty had never exactly been her forte. “Maybe I can be a highlight in your otherwise depressing day!”
((OOC: Gah....I am SOOOO sorry Mina!!! I've been so busy lately, there's been no time for me to even get online!! Forgive me??))

OOC: lol, babe, relax. srsly. You're making me want to pin you down and slap you. It's all right. We have actual lives (at least I hope so. I know Jace doesn't >_<) which calls our attention first. So just...relax silly woman.
It was so obvious she was ignoring him. Well, he certainly wasn't going to let her get away with it. "Hey, you know I'm over here, right? If you didn't want to talk with me, you should not have invited me to join you. I will go if you wish it." Though he didn't really want to. It was nice to spend a little time with someone, even if that someone didn't want to spend the time with him. Besides, he was kind of crushing on her. Hey, what could he say? She was a pretty woman. Okay, that's an understatement. She was gorgeous. Stunning. Perfect. Lucien blushed.
Though she did seem interested when he complimented her. She was vain, then, Lucien could tell. Willed only by his hopeless romantic side, he continued, "It is just, my lady. I am blessed to be in your presence. I should be at your feet, obeying your every command as everyone should do with a goddess such as yourself." There, that should satiate her 'modest' vanity for awhile. If not, Lucien really didn't have a problem with going on even more. Besides, what harm would it do? He'd be at her feet at the snap of a finger.
Depressing day did suit it well. Lucien glanced around, seeing a couple behind the woman embrace. He looked away quickly. It seemed everyone had someone...but him. Damn it, he was getting tired of being single. And so he was a little undersexed. He couldn't help it. He wasn't just going to hop in the sack with someone.

Lucien followed the nod of her head to the couple in the corner. Or...ex couple it seemed. He had to admit, they were pretty interesting. His eyes went wide as the girl slapped him. "Excuse me," he whispered to the woman in front of him, immediately standing and rushing to the couple. If Lucien didn't have someone, he surely wanted others who did to keep it that way. The woman crossed her arms, obviously angry at Lucien for his butting in. Lucien ignored that, whispering to the couple quietly for a few minutes. Whatever he said had obviously worked. The couple stood still for a second, glaring at eachother, but eventually they stopped their hatred and began to embrace. Lucien, satisfied with his work, nodding to them, bade them a farewell, and returned to the table with the woman.
"Sorry about that. I can't stand seeing people argue, especially two people in love." He glanced to the couple, who still seemed a little tense but had gotten over the initial fighting. He smiled a bit, returning his attention to her to catch her words. "A way with words? Thank you, my lady. I do try to make sure women feel as beautiful as they are. Men as well. But it is so easy with you. All I do is say what I see. And I see a beautiful woman with everything absolutely perfect about her. Though I do not know her name," he said, indicating he would like to actually meet her.

Lucien blinked in surprise, the glare she gave him burning into him. "What? I'm sorry, my lady, but I just don't like fighting. And I had a feeling it would only escalate until she was trying to kill him." He cringed, trying on a nervous smile. "And you were faking being nice to me. You are bored with me, I can tell." Lucien, although a real gentlemen to the ladies, wouldn't let her get away with something like that. He hated rude people, especially those who thought themselves better than others.
Though as she said her name, an image popped into his mind. Her on a cover of a magazine. That's it! He knew he had seen her before somewhere. "Skye? As in the Skye?" he asked, raising a brow. "The movie star Skye whose had my heart ever since I first saw (insert movie title here that she was in)? I don't believe it. I mean..." he blushed deeply, looking at the cringing hands in his lap. "Oh my lady Skye I'm so sorry. I thought about it at first, but I would have never imagined someone like you to come here. I thought you were a lookalike or something. Wow."
